They promised me a rental car yesterday over the phone then said they rented them all, today I made online reservation for 5:30, and called and talked to Hailey who said they would come and pick me up at 515, nobody came, when I called to ask about it someone named Chris who says hes the manager said they knew nothing about it and there was nobody available to pick me up, I asked to talk to the manger above him and he said the district manager and branch manger were both available, put me on hold, then he came back and said nobody was available except for him, he said 'I dont know and well we dont have anybody to pick you up', there was absolutely no customer service or attempt to help me or make it right. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because the staff was very courteous. I picked up my first car and drove off and realized there was trash in the car, it had obviously not been cleaned (which ok, I'm only using this for a day) then one of the service lights came on a mile down the road and I brought the car back. The next car I got was even more thrashed. Ripped carpet, paint coming off the exterior, dents, dirt everywhere. I can't believe that they are renting out vehicles in this condition. I called the Arden office several times and were placed on hold over 15 minutes with no one answering or asking if I would hold. They just kept picking the phone up, pushed some buttons, and I was placed back on hold. I called over 6 times and was flat out hung up on. I have been waiting over 38 mins past my reservation. am still in the lobby waiting for my rental to be cleaned. I will update this review when/if I ever get my car. Finally got my rental car. It was dirty with a wet dog odor. They offered air freshener. It needed to be vacuumed and wiped down. I am still waiting 55 minutes after my pick up reservation. read more

Check-in was incredibly quick and easy. Especially since I called ahead. But why did they charge me a fee for paying a highway toll when the invoice was half that amount? All tolls are invoices and don't except payment at the time of cruising so I should have gotten charged the exact toll price! LOCATION & DECOR: Located across the street from Niello Volkswagen near the corner of Arden Way and Fulton Ave. Smallish building and lot. Clean building. Crowded lot. PRICE: $$ Depends on your car of choice, but my full sized sedan was about $55 with a whopping 5% military discount. STAFF & EXPERIENCE: Staff was quick, kind and professional. Did their jobs excellently. I called ahead for a car and was able to pick up my car and drive off the lot within 10 minutes. Can't complain about that. Now, I had to go to the bay for the day and crossed an invoice only toll. It was $7 which is sent to whomever owns the vehicle. That's too be expected. And I expected to be charged for it by Enterprise. What I did not expect is to have been charged a $5 service fee. Yes, it's only $5. However, the principle is that there's no reason they couldn't have added $7 to my bill and called it a day. So, for that I give 3 stars because the service was amazing, but that ridiculous military discount and service fee charge are with a star a piece. read more

I paid $744. For 10 day. Play $300 deposit. Once I returned the vehicle. 3 days later when I was supposed to receive my deposit. I received a charge of $205. Bringing the grand total to $1250 And never revived my deposit. I'm being charged $500 with no explanation. No timeline on when I'll receive my deposit. They say it's a malfunction on their software. Very easy process for pickup. They have good cars here and when I booked through expedia they had everything in the computer already. One thing I like about Enterprise vs Hertz is when you incur a toll fee they charge you $20 , where enterprise is completely transparent and only charge $2 on top of the toll amount foe that day. Made a reservation on the phone. Upon arrival, (had to Uber there) I was told they cant take a PayPal Mastercard because it is prepaid. I asked if someone else came back with me (my mom) that had a major credit card could I still rent the truck ? They said yes. So i Ubered back home( now 20+ $ out of pocket). My mom came back with me, presented the necessary documents. I told the now different employee, Francisco, I would like to be added as a driver. I had my D.L. and insurance info. He said no. The only driver is the one who makes the rental. WTF!!! I know that is not the case. I have done it before. Im 61 yrs old, not some teenage kid with his permit. I tried standing my ground explaining what i was told by the other gentleman earlier, when Francisco voice started get louder. I gave up. It looks like it's been six years since I reviewed Enterprise last. We have rented many cars since then. I went to get a car today and want to make a point to highlight the excellent customer service at this location. First, I called when they opened to see if I could pick up the car since it was in my husbands name. Robert was very courteous, even though they had just opened and the lobby was full. When I got there, there were several people waiting Fernanda ended up helping me, and was so patient. We rented a full-size car, but we had an upgrade coupon. We are riding through the mountains and with the current weather I thought having a four-wheel-drive would be the better option. Our upgrade only allowed us a small SUV so I wanted to make sure that it would be big enough for my long legged husband. Even though it was busy, Fernanda took her time and showed me the two cars so I could pick. When I finally got into the car and was ready to drive off the lot, I saw that the oil service lamp was on. I didn't want to have to deal with that on the road, so I went back in to see if they needed to service the car. It was a lot slower than before, so I asked them what the next size up SUV would be while she was checking on the service (just a note here: I drive big old cars. This small SUV was making me very uncomfortable. Plus, we have a long ride ahead of us so comfort is key). A bigger SUV was available, I just needed to wait for it to get cleaned. It was more per day, but that it was worth it for me to upgrade. I only had to wait about 15 or 20 minutes, and during that time I got to witness how great the staff dealt with their customers. I am much happier with my new rental and ready to go on my road trip. The only thing I have to say is that I had to go through the car with the disinfecting wipes because the steering wheel and other parts that you touch a lot weren't as clean as I would like. That could be because they turned it around for me so quickly, but in this day and age it is important to have the steering wheel and other high touch areas disinfected. read more

I was very depressed when my beautiful F150 truck got hit. I called Creonah to rent a truck while they repaired mine. Needles to say, in my area no truck available with Enterprise or Hertz. I had no choice but to rent an SUV. Last minute I got a call from Enterprise they had a truck for me. I came in and met Creonah to rent an F150 Truck for the first time. There was a line, and they are so busy. When I went to Creonah she was calm and friendly. She greets me with a beautiful smile. I told my wife; my day was so horrible and stressful but because of Creonah's smile that lifted it away. She is reminding me of my daughters. Their smiles always take away my stress & tiredness. Creonah Bryant took notes of the F150 I rented from Enterprise and assured me that everything is noted and logs in the system. They are so busy, this young lady runs around like a chicken with no head. She even wash the F150 by herself & had someone refill the gas as well . When I left Enterprise with my rental. I am not only happy but stress free. Enterprise is so lucky to have Creonah Bryant worked for them. I told my wife , If I could I would hire her and steal her from Enterprise. read more

On Sunday morning, I drove my mom over to Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Arden. My mother had been in a car accident and needed a car. We were met and helped by Gabby (I apologize if the spelling is incorrect!) and she so kindly and patiently helped us. The insurance's request for a rental in our part had been frozen in that company's system and did not show up on Enterprise's side. Despite this mishap, Gabby was able to get my mom a rental same day. Steve helped get my mom situated with her rental. His banter and bright personality was infectious, much needed after the days we had after the car accident. (Special shout out to Francisco for being kind to me on the phone while I figured out names of your associates!) Whenever she had questions, my mom was able to call up enterprise and had no issues for the duration of her rental. Thank you Enterprise Team! I reserved a car last week through Expedia to go to nearby city where I had important medical appointments scheduled. After booking, I thoroughly read the reservation email, and then I called Enterprise on Arden before I went there this morning--I asked specifically what I needed to bring, and the person on the phone at the Enterprise office told me all I needed was my photo ID and my debit card that I had used to make the reservation. However, once I arrived, having spent money on an Uber, the staff informed me that I needed to have two forms of proof of address, which I did not have with me. The manager, Malik Hill, was extremely unhelpful and rude. He refused to contact his supervisor to resolve the issue. Then I spent more money on another Uber back. What a waste of my entire day, weeks of planning for medical care, and $30 on unneeded Uber rides. As I was leaving, I cut my hand on a piece of sharp metal sticking out next to the interior doorknob. Very very bad experience. read more

Not ok!! I had called Friday to make a reservation to be picked up in Monday. When I arrived I was told there wasn't a car ready for me and it would be 10min to get it ready. 25 minutes later I'm told it's ready. I am given a Camry with a quarter tank of gas. I pay my $50 and Into the car I go. It REAKS of cigarettes and there is dust and crumbs and just grime all throughout the vehicle. I had to go to the store just to buy wipes and air freshener it was that bad. I've never had this issue with them before. The associate Bryce was kind was helpful but he should have never given a car in that condition to a customer. I'm very disappointed read more

I've rented from enterprise for years it's the other company i ever use but after today I will never spend another dollar with them. corporate has no control over each individual branch so whatever location you go to can treat you anyway they choose and there's no consequences for their awful service. Corporate should have better control over their constituents, consumer reports show 1.6 out of 5 rating for customer satisfaction...maybe when people quit using enterprise they will lose enough money to make changes to satisfy their customers read more

Been waiting for these jerks to give me my deposit back. They said 3-5 business days. It has been almost 2 weeks, still, my deposit isn't back. Their car has been back. They called me to tell me that it was fine, no damage, they would have my deposit back to me in "no time", but failed to deliver on their word. I have called enterprise several times, they said they would send a message to the store, but still, nothing has been done. Either this office is being ran by the most lazy, inconsiderate group of employees or they are just incompetent. This is aside from the fact that when I went to pick up my rental, the car I rented wasn't ready & was put into a situation where I had to fork out more money to rent an upgrade so I could get on the road as soon so I wouldn't be late to my event. Hopefully this review gets thru to them & let's them know that they should give their job its due diligence & take their word seriously. Update: the employee over the phone quoted me a different price than I was charged, when I asked them what the exact total would be. The total they gave me was about $200 less than I was quoted. I'm livid because I was also being told I hadn't got my receipt because I hadn't had my account closed out. It took them almost 2 weeks to do that. They had my email them to elevating complaint. Still waiting for a response. This is ridiculous. Hopefully they offer a reasonable solution, if not, I'll report this to the BBB. Feels like a complete bait and switch at this point. read more

I rent cars frequently for work travel. Friendly service at this rental location. Les and Dave are the best drivers and Scott calls me by name when he sees me. Feedback I would give is how the cars are maintained. The car I returned the other day was the third one I've rented that had a slow leak in the tire. I had to stop 3 times on a 2 hour drive to fill up the tire. When I called during my drive to find out what to do, they made a couple of suggestions. I chose to stop at an Enterprise in Fairfield to see if they could do a swap out. They didn't have any extra cars, so they pumped the tire until the low pressure light turned off. When I got back on the road, the psi still continued to drop. I didn't have to return the car until the next morning, but I decided to drop it off straight at the rental place that evening in case the psi dropped more overnight and I got stuck. After I locked the car and drop the keys in the drop box, I peaked in the car again and saw that I forgot my charger cable. I could see it in plain sight next to the driver side seat belt buckle. I called first thing the following morning and they couldn't find the cable. It's my fault for leaving it there and for calling instead of driving there first thing in the morning, but I find it hard to believe that my white cable that was visible through the window disappeared overnight. The car had already been rented out again, so I'm considering it a loss. Hopefully the tire leak got fixed for the next renter and whoever took my cable enjoys it. The first time I had a slow leak, I was in Fresno. Diamond sent a text that morning how the rental was going. I texted her that the low tire pressure light came on and didn't get a response. I sent a follow up text asking what I should do and still didn't get a response. I was driving back from Fresno and had to stop a couple of times to fill the tire with air. The text is a nice touch point, but shouldn't be done if no one is going to reply. The second time the low pressure light came on due to a slow leak occurred when it was already after 5p. I called the after hours line. They said they could get a tow truck out to help fix the problem, but it was going to take over an hour. I took the car back the following morning and was able to get a swap out. I had to drive to Santa Cruz that morning and was late to my meeting. read more

This is specific to the 2700 Arden Way branch. I've rented here roughly a dozen times. Each time I get a car the fuel tank is EMPTY. This is by design so you'll bring it back with more gas than you used. When I brought this up when I rented this week, I stated I didn't know how much gas I would use and didn't want to go to a gas station more than once. So, they said.... "We'll credit you back for any unused gas... Just bring us the receipt." I said, Great! But, when I got back with the receipt... they refused to reimburse me per their agreement. They gave me a business card of a Trainee (not the managers business card) and wrote on it "Free Gas or Upgrade". Ha! Beware when renting here. Poor management. read more

Bad customer service! Dropped off a rental after I had it for over a month paid them over $2,200 you figure they'll take good care of you for giving them such good business. Nope! Called them 30 mins after I dropped off the car because my mom forgot her iPad behind the passenger seat, I tried to get it back called them every day for a week and they say no the car has been cleaned and rented out for the next customer. Never bothered to help me retrieve my mom's iPad after renting the car from them for such a long time. Either they took it or they never bothered calling the customer they gave the car to bring it back. Never going with them again. They won't bother to help you they just want your money. read more

Enterprise suppose to have a safe reliable car. Enterprise suppose to also check the tires. When the employee looked at the car, they did not look at the tires. I had to tell them that the tires was about to blow. They told me to take it to centerline. But when I was driving, the steering wheel was shaking due to bad rotor and bad alignment. AAt first, the car rented should not be rented out the first place. All they told me was I could gone to another Enterprise and change to another one. That means I need return the second car to that location. Why do I have to stress out that the Enterprise made a huge fault. I tried to be nice person but being too nice backfires. In the Bible it said do not be too nice and do not be too evil. God will take care of it. Also, if I did not any anything, the could be in the worst situation. So it can lead to close the branch and had to fire the employees. If I did not say anything about the tires and rotor, the next person can get into more trouble. FYI, I knew that thr steering wheel had a problem when I was driving to LA. That is when the worker said had a chance to xhange another car at a different branch.
