We visited the area for 3 days and rented a compact car from Enterprise. We loved that there was no line at the counter after we took the airport shuttle there. The gentleman who rented us the car was great. Knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant. I was thrilled to have a choice and picked a Toyota Corolla. We've been driving Toyotas for the last twenty years and have a late model ourselves. This made knowing how to use it much easier. Most cars these days are not that intuitive to use, especially the Lidar cruise control, etc. We were also very pleased to connect my iPhone to AirPlay and have our GPS app on the screen. We used it the whole time we were driving around and it makes a trip to an unfamiliar area much more pleasant. The car was a 2026, with only 6k miles on it, it still had a little of the new car smell. It was also sparkling clean, which isn't always the case when you rent. I purposely chose Enterprise because of previous good experiences with the company in other locations. I'm certainly going to choose them again when I travel. read more

Today I visited your location as you said I could swap out the car. I was treated very poorly. Enterprise is a very big company and they have lots of cars and I wasn't offered any options or help today 2/14 when I talked to the one 800 Lady in customer service I explained to her that the car was not in good condition and the wipers did not work the tires were worn and car was making a clunking noise so I went to the airport location because I also told her I needed a bigger vehicle. They did not offer me any options. They actually offered me a smaller option and my insurance covers a full size and they did not even try and help me they tried to give me a Corolla or a smaller car. I had a big party of people that I had to transport so I specifically said I need a full-size car upon leaving. . I've never been treated this way. I will be filing a complaint with corporate . I've never been treated this poorly in my life. No customer service no help very snooty. Very rude. I will be calling corporate. The car tires were already poor condition which I have photos of. I had 6 people I needed to accompany to a party so why would u guys offer me a smaller car when I told the lady on the phone I needed a full size car my day has been ruined I will be also writing more reviews on the absolute poor customer service that I had received. I booked directly through the Enterprise website and selected a standard compact car. This was my first time picking up a rental from Sacramento. The process was easy. After baggage claim I headed towards the rental car shuttles and the shuttle arrived with a sign that said Rental Car B. Hopped on and exited at the next and only stop which is the rental car station with all the major rental car companies in one building. I checked in a day ahead online and my rental pick-up was fast. The gentleman that helped me let me know he was going to be about 5 minutes and was going to bring my car up at the back. He gave me a white Nissan Altima which at first I thought, "Not the Altima?!" just based on the stereotypes, but after driving it for four days I rather liked it. My flight got delayed so I modified my return time online and it was so simple. I dropped my car off exactly at the time I said I would and the checkout process was so easy and fast. An Enterprise rep came up with an IPad, asked me if I filled the gas tank up, let me know my final total that was being charged to the card and I was on my way! No wait what so ever! The line for the shuttle was short at the time, but if you're flying in or out on a Monday or Friday, I'd say get there early because the line to get on the shuttle when I arrived on Monday was extremely long. I've rented from Enterprise for as long as I can remember and I'm definitely a satisfied customer who will stay loyal to the brand! read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about this particular Enterprise location. This was the easiest rental car pickup I've ever had, and once I arrived at the counter I was out with my rental in under ten minutes. When I returned the rental they were super accommodating, and upon seeing my toddler son in a car seat they offered to drive me right to the terminal so I wouldn't have to schlep over to the shuttle. That had never been offered anywhere! It was such a nice touch and I am very appreciative for the team here making my journey home much easier. read more

Had car issues and I switched out a car in a nearby city. Turned out to be a very small vehicle (but the only one available) and I was not comfortable driving long distance in. Tried to switch out again at the Sac airport but it's a holiday so not much inventory. Called two days in a row to leave a request for the switch and was assured during both calls that they would call me as soon as something was available. I was traveling into town for a wedding mid-week and the folks at the desk saw me carrying a tux. I was flustered having come in Weds morn for a rehearsal, and wedding Thurs, even though I was the best man, Chandler and Emma sensed the frustration, so instead of a minivan, they upgraded me to a nice midsized SUV. Absolutely turned my mood around and made for a special start to an even more special week. Emma & Chandler were so kind and warm, and absolutely got me started on the right foot. Pick up was smooth. Car was decent. Drop off was not smooth. Gal thought she could get me on damage to front end of car. Which was almost not noticeable to the naked eye. She obviously saw it was already listed on the report for previous damage. When I told her I did not cause it she rolled her eyes and kept moving along the car as if every scratch was from me. Would have been good for her to say it was listed as damaged already and not accuse me. Total BS. Enterprise is usually better than this. My partner and I went to pick up our vehicle for a short trip on the morning of the 26th. The car was okay, actually glad to drive a Mazda. The vehicle interior seemed pretty new and clean but the outside not so much. The pickup process was awful however. We were greeted by a group of people chatting each other up and ignoring us despite standing in front of them for a few minutes. When we approached and initiated conversation, Ketia was very irate and uninterested to help us, we were made to feel like we were a nuisance especially when we were having trouble with the card I was using. I am contemplating becoming a loyalty member of a different car rental agency. This is my second terrible experience with Enterprise. First, we checked in online. Which absolutely did nothing. We still had to go to the counter, show ID and show the same credit card that I entered online. We were the only ones in line and then waited waited waited as Mercedes said "the driver has to bring the car". She was kind enough and actually was more on the ball than others. The line started growing and we were still waiting. Mercedes did help a couple of people and then shouted out to us, she would check on our car. A few minutes later, she came back and said I am so very sorry I had miscommunication with the driver. But I've given you a complementary upgrade and a better car than what you reserved. .... We paid for a luxury car. They advertise it as an Audi or similar. Upgrade was a joke! We got a old Cadillac sedan. Almost 40,000 miles on it dings and scratches all over. I think it is 2 years old and literally should be retired! The car wasn't that clean. Meanwhile a friend of our also here rented from Hertz, a standard SUV and didn't pay for $500 for 5 days that we did! They have a plush Grand Jeep Cherokee for $350 and other friends have a BMW from Avis $400. It would be different if I had an upgrade that I was using and they didn't have the car available. I actually paid for a luxury car. This is not the first time it's happened, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the last time because I am moving until Enterprise shows up for the loyal customer! One star for Mercedes for her service as she did the best she could that's all they had. And one for the gentleman who helped us put our luggage in the car. He got a good tip as well. And one star because at least Enterprise did give us a car that runs. read more

Subject: Rental Experience - Northgate vs. Sacramento Airport Enterprise I was recently in an accident, and the other driver's insurance reserved a rental for me at Enterprise on Northgate. Unfortunately, my experience there was extremely disappointing. The first car offered smelled heavily of smoke, had stains on the headliner, and was visibly dirty. The replacement vehicle had issues with the air conditioning and transmission--and was also unclean. I called two days later to request a different car and offered to pay for an upgrade. I was told to come in before work, but no cars were available. I returned after work, as the associate said an SUV might be ready. When I arrived, Amber told me there were no SUVs, so I agreed to take a Chevy Malibu. While waiting, two other customers arrived. Amber asked me to sit while she helped them. One of them requested an SUV, and Amber immediately offered to unlock one for her. I was stunned. After being overlooked again, I asked Amber's name and left. I then drove to the Sacramento Airport Enterprise location, which was much busier--but the service was night and day. Kevin, the manager, had me in a clean, upgraded vehicle in under ten minutes, at no extra charge. He was professional, kind, and made me feel valued despite the rush. I'm incredibly grateful for his help. I do not recommend the Northgate location. The customer service was poor, the vehicles were dirty, and several employees seemed disengaged. If you want respectful treatment and reliable rentals, go to Enterprise at the Sacramento Airport. Kevin and his team are exceptional. read more

One person called me one time and essentially shrugged his shoulders and didn't try to actually help with the problem. I reserved a rental car last-minute for a trip from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Derreck helped me out, and was super kind and patient with me. I just felt like he was trying to find me the best, most comfortable deal (and he encouraged me to get a mid-size, I'm 6' 1" and honestly haven't driven one and I won't be going back to a sedan). I foolishly left in a hurry and did not double-check that I had my license with me, and I used my work e-mail instead my personal e-mail (NEVER DO THIS) and didn't see that I had left my license until I was in LA. Derreck e-mailed me to let me know I had left it, and coordinated to have the license shipped to me directly to my home in LA. Have had to rent and return vehicles here with Enterprise on multiple occasions, both for work and for personal/logistics. Super friendly and efficient staff, both front of house as well as on the return side. Very minimal hassle and they're very quick at what they do. Prices are all set online before but they're reasonable for the car options available. Vehicles are well maintained and no issues/complaints from my side. Returns are so fast and quick, can be on the airport shuttle or on a rideshare within 5-6 minutes from landing on the returns area. Lots of younger adults working the returns area, but they're very enthusiastic, professional, and effective - impressed that Enterprise was able to hire so many decent young folk to work all hours of the day. 24/7 pickup and return, which is helpful in the Sac area if you need an off-schedule vehicle rental. read more

This location consistently fails to perform. I have rented with this location numerous times and they never have the car I booked ready. I enter the time I will arrive when booking and yet the car isn't available so I have to wait. Using tonight as an example, I walked in and saw 3 employees on their phones waiting for customers. So, this review is based on my experience with Enterprise at the San Jose Airport on 06-27-2024. My complaint was about the rental that I pick-up on my scheduled vehicle request being a SUV/Suburban style 4-door. I had an appointment and timeline that required me to be on time and ready to go. I received my rental and completed the necessary paperwork, signing, etc. and left for my appointment. While driving to my appointment, I began scanning the vehicle for its cleanliness and found the exterior of the vehicle was dirty with water spots on and around the vehicle. The windows were water spots and specifically the front windshield was unacceptable. Upon my arrival to my appointment, I opened the rear passenger doors and found the back seats were in the down position with dirt debris on the floor mats. I uprighted the seats and oh my god, the rear passengers seat had all kinds of white debris looking like confetti or bits and pieces of white styrofoam. My partner and I had to spend 20-25 minutes to clean and prep the vehicle prior to our client's arrival. This was unacceptable and we should not have had to do the vehicle maintenance. Whoever the employee was that accepted the vehicle return to your office location prior to my pick-up or being available to rent again FAILED their job to ensure the rental was cleaned thoroughly before allowing the vehicle back to your rental inventory. To be honest, I really am more disappointed now about the delayed response to my complaint. Since 06-27-24, I have rented vehicles the same location on 07/02, 07/09, 07/11, 07/16, 07/23, 07/30, 08/01, 08/06 and 08/08. I received an acknowledgment from Enterprise Support on 07-25-2024, which is a month later and only to receive information that Enterprise received my complaint to be forwarded to their Management Team. Well, now here we are on 08-13-2024 almost 2 months since my complaint, which has not been handle or addressed with anything in compensation. Enterprise Support and Management Team does nothing the remedy any concerns and/or complaints whether you make a phone or email them specifically. Let me tell you about one of the worst experiences I ever had with a car rental company. I had booked a van several days prior through a Sacramento Enterprise location. I thought everything was good to go and I was slated to drive to Utah at around 9am that morning. Come the day of the pickup, they informed me they did not have the van I had reserved. They did not even offer my some comparable to it, like a big SUV or what not. When I kept checking there website, it said it had vans available all throughout Sacramento. I told the counter representative if I could pick one up at another location and he called multiple locations in the area and said none of those locations had any vans. By this time it was already past 10:00am and I was late leaving. I tried to consult with the representative to allow me to get a comparable SUV, but he insisted on offering a small SUV that would not fit the amount of riders I was bring with me. I told him why am I seeing that you guys have vans available for reservations on your website, plus many other SUV that are comparable. Me assuming they did not want to lose money on a luxury SUV as "comparable", I pressed him. Telling him I think it is very inconvenient that they are allowing people to make reservations that do not exist, and why are they still showing available. He did not want to call around at other locations and find a alternative for me. I had to drive all the way to Fairfield, about 45 minutes away to pick up another car rental company. Extremely rude and disrespectful customer service. The employee threw a tantrum towards the customer while standing right next to the manager. I was in absolute disbelief of what I was witnessing. I've never seen an employee have the audacity to behave in such a manner and the manager just stood there and allowed such unprofessional behavior. Date of Visit: 03/09/2024 As someone who has consistently enjoyed the customer service with Enterprise, it pains me to write this review as the first-ever complainant. Typically, I've been greeted with warmth and professionalism, but my recent experience at the Sacramento International Airport left much to be desired. Upon entering the return aisle, I was met by the check-in employee, name withheld, who, as usual with past experiences, greeted me with a smile and inquired about "my return". I explained my need for a larger vehicle due to my family's discomfort in the compact SUV I had rented. He then,in a kind manner, explained Enterprise's policy regarding vehicle exchanges, which I respected. He then offered to for I to speak with his manager to which I accepted. However, when the manager arrived, the interaction took a drastic turn. Without any greeting or introduction, she addressed me in a condescending and emotionally detached manner. She did not allow me to explain my situation and simply informed me that if she allowed the change, I would only be provided with a truck. Despite feeling frustrated, I remained polite and accepted her decision. Understanding my Only words to her was "Yes,Ma'am" - Being confrontational doesn't no one any good. As I waited for the truck, I couldn't help but notice the vehicle's dirtiness, further adding to my disappointment. The manager's demanding tone persisted as she instructed me to load my belongings into the truck. Throughout the ordeal, the employee apologized for his manager's behavior and subtly indicated that her rudeness was not uncommon. It's disheartening to encounter such unprofessionalism, especially when I've always made it a point to acknowledge and appreciate the hardworking employees of Enterprise. They are good people. Knowing the names of both employees and managers from my local locations. In conclusion, while this experience may have been a one-off, it's important to highlight the impact that a single individual can have on a customer's perception of a company. I sincerely hope that Enterprise addresses these issues and ensures that all customers receive the level of service promoted by Enterprise. I deducted 1 star for that as I don't trust "Free" public wifi to get some sort of service to save myself $30-50 for it. Minus 1 star for that. -They don't honor military discount reserving on the spot as well, but on the app they do. Just google "Military Discount Enterprise" and it'll direct you to a separate page to save 5% off. Make sure you sign-in though. Because you can reserve a vehicle online weather if you have an active Enterprise account or not. And upon pick-up, show your CAC ID to the Enterprise Representative. SMH! read more

A car at ~50k miles with that many issues shouldn't be in their lot. We could've been seriously injured due to their inability to keep the car well maintained.
