I am so happy this test center is here. I drive from the Bay Area because it's the only center I could find that administers proctored exams on Saturdays. I need a large number of DSST exams still for my Bachelor's degree so I plan to be a frequent visitor. I emailed Alex a number of times before I took my first exams and he is very nice and helpful, he responded to all of my emails in an hour or two, tops. Took my first exams last weekend and the process was very easy and painless. I was in a small room with four other testers, and one couldn't stop moving in her squeaky chair. I've thrown a handful of earplugs in my purse for next weekend, I should be good to go. Alex assured me they will send my exam results directly to my school, it hasn't happened yet but it's nice to know it is taken care of. My only reservation is that the room is SO tiny and with so many testers crammed in, it can be distracting. Plus the exam fee is $30 which is higher than anywhere else, I've noticed, but again, I'll pay the added cost because I am SO incredibly grateful to have a testing center available on Saturdays. read more

I used their services for two years being an online student you need to have tests proctored from time to time. This was the only place I could find in the Sacramento area. They charge $25 for the first hour for new clients and $20 if you come back next semester. They are fully prepared to submit any paperwork needed by your university to become your proctor. They have several proctors at this location. In fact i never saw the lady who actually signed my proctor paperwork. It's a very legit business, your school will send your test and they will have it ready for you. I even forgot my calculator one time (for a math test, yikes!) and they were able to give me a calculator after i had already started my test. The environment is not the best. It's in a terrible location. One time during the test, the neighbors behind the building were blasting mexican music, it was very loud. Not their fault. I felt completely unsafe in this area. One time there were guys just hanging out in the lobby clearly with no reason to be in the building. I have to give them a 3 star because while my first semester was a 5 star. They began to change. In fact their web site has changed so much that i wondered if it was the same place this last semester (Fall 2012). I had to call Sharlene the owner each time i needed to set up the test. Maybe you think this is normal? No, my school would confirm that She had received the materials and then it would be a week later and no call from Sharlene. Then i would call the number on the website, no answer. Left a message no call back. I emailed, waited a few days, no response. At this point it's the week of my test. BTW my school sent dates that i can take the test, she had received the material 3 (Three) weeks before this. IT made me stress out so bad everytime i had to take a test. This happened ALL semester long, not just once. I was becoming furious i was hoping i wouldn't have to use their services ever again. The first 3 semester i used their services, They called me when they got the email saying, "You're test materials have arrived, when would you like to schedule your test?" that was great, a GOOD Customer SERVICE response would be to call your clients when you receive what they need. If i ordered a new suit to come in, in three weeks but they got it in 1, that business would want me to come get my suit early. I sincerly hope that Sacramento Test Proctoring changes back to their old ways. As creating stress on students will not help them graduate any sooner or happier. read more

I'm not one to leave reviews, but after this encounter, I hope this is useful for any stressful student who needs a quiet testing environment and one who appreciates great customer service from a company. I arrived at the testing center only to find out that I had to wait next to a student who was trying to focus on their test (because just like the others who left reviews, there is NO space). The proctor specialist apologized how MESSY and unorganized the entire space was. According to him, "It was under construction." I found out that I had to be placed in a back cornered area, full of boxes, old file cabinets, spider webs, and dust everywhere, because that was the only computer that had word document? I would have thought these computers would carry word document, especially at a proctor location. During my test, the employee was constantly moving through the rooms and even turned on the vacuum to quickly clean up (while someone was testing). I finished my test and unfortunately ran into a dilemma where my university requested I schedule one additional hour of services with this location. I decided to give it a chance (not sure why) but come to find out, they didn't answer or respond to my calls after two straight days of calling and emailing. Luckily, my university accepted a new proctor service, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PROCTORING. After speaking with this new proctor, I came to find out that I wasn't the only individual who went from Sacramento Test Proctoring service, to a new vendor. read more

I came here to take the FAGD exam. For a test that costs $600 you'd think the exam environment would be decent. After finding the building which had no sign on the outside for the testing facility, I knocked on the door only to be shushed immediately. There's no lobby, literally a tiny room off a hallway with a few computers inside. So I sat outside and waited for my test to begin. The proctor set me up on the computer and I received earplugs. Thank god I did because this was the noisiest proctor I've ever encountered! He walked around and opened cabinets, files, shuffled papers endlessly. I almost said something at one point bit wanted to finish my exam. I ended up passing but my goodness, what a terrible testing experience! read more

I had my first test proctored with Sac Proctoring today and am glad I chose them. The area is not the best, but they can't help that. The instructor that was there was very quiet since there were other students already in tests. I appreciated this a lot. He got my test set up quickly. I will use their services again! read more

I am a physician of 25 years so you can imagine how many tests I have taken. I notice one of the filtered reviews is interesting as it is exactly my perception of my test experience, today. The place is absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. I was there for a national exam in the medical field and the proctor became hostile when I asked if he was going to have his phone ringing during my exam and said " you can cancel if you do not like it " and " this is how we run our business here". He played video games and answered the phone while munching on food during my test and really distracted me. The place was dirty and dingy and he had food odor all around from food he had just cooked. I am shocked that Comira has allowed this and will never ever use this place NOR Comira. They also without any consent changed my exam time ! The toilets are dirty and locked. The proctor sits very closely behind you while he eats and answers his phone. It was very upsetting. Please do not do any exam even if it is not something simple. I cannot even imagine if anyone else had been in there. It does not even feel safe in there with him. The seats are uncomfortable and computers old. If even one more person was in there it would be even more cramped. I felt like I was in a slob's trailer !! Horrid experience !! read more

I have been going to this center for two semesters now. While my experience the first semester was fine (albeit the strange location and small room) my second semester here has been really upsetting. The proctor (not the owner) has made inappropriate comments to me, is unorganized and underprepared. He told me he had my test materials, but then realized he did not when I arrived. I was in a pinch because I only had a little bit of time. Even so, he made a very upsetting, inappropriate and personal comment to me. He requires all students to have their phones off and on his desk which made me feel unsafe. He also locked me into the building one time and had to walk me out of the building to check if he unlocked it or not. I tried to contact the owner but he was the one who responded and did not give me her business email or business phone number. All of the email addresses and phone numbers listed on their website is run and manned by this particular proctor. I will not be returning as to keep myself safe and I will be finding a more professional center to work with and give my business. There is no line of communication to any kind of supervisor to complain or ask for help which is why I am complaining here.
