I got a tattoo 8 years ago and loved the work. Through IG, I found my artist who did that tattoo and where he was tattooing these days. (@chris_h_art_ink) Now called Seven Cities Tattoo Co., my artist, --Chris H.-- did my *two* new tattoos. He squeezed me in on a Saturday and gave me a beautiful chrysanthemum tattoo. We couldn't finish the other flowers as we ran out of time, but he didn't leave it incomplete. I messaged him halfway through the next week with a question about the healing process. He answered my questions thoroughly, and then mentioned he had an opening the following Saturday to finish up the tattoo if I wanted, and of course I took the opportunity. He finished my tattoo up with a beautiful arrangement of gladiolus! He didn't block it off either, so if I want to add more, I could (most definitely will!). He listened to my requests of no harsh black outlines and that I wanted it in the same manner of my previous 8 year tattoo. He asked what colors I was thinking and went from there. Definitely trust the process. I am beyond thrilled with the work. Chris was really nice and kind, and very realistic and practical about the whole process from booking to aftercare. The shop has great vibes and it's very calm. The decor is fun and whimsical, the tattoo area is spaced out nicely, and you can watch them clean the areas up after they're done so you know it's clean. Would never recommend this tattoo spot at this point, was working with Mike on a cover up and after it healed, I expressed concerns about how it was healing and how far off it looked from what style and pics I presented. I went to a different tattoo spot where I was told what I wanted as a cover up would never have been possible and they agreed the quality is poor and that I should've been told what I wanted is not reasonable . The best part is I never got a response from the artist either via email or IG, even thought I can clearly see my IG message was read. read more

After failing to resolve this issue with Mike personally I have decided it is best others are made aware of my experience so that they do not find themselves in a similar situation. I scheduled two consecutive days of tattooing with Mike. I flew out of state from PA, arrived for my first day of tattooing, and Mike LEFT at my appointment time and did not return until an entire HOUR after, completely unprepared. During our appt he answered MULTIPLE phone calls from his wife and MIL, (he also did this the first time I was tattooed by him but I still treated him with respect) then ended our session after 1 hour of tattooing and charged me for an 1.5 (I paid, respectfully). Before I left he mentioned we would make up for the time the next day. The next day I returned, he took ADDITIONAL phone calls, and I also had to hear his friend/ fellow artist speak publicly about how he hopes his client doesn't return because "he doesn't vibe with him". At this point, I have already experienced so much unprofessionalism but to make matters worse, Mike so clearly rushed through the next (and final) 3 hours of tattooing because as he said all day, had to go to dinner and a haunted house when he finishes. (He did not even make up for the lost time from the day prior). In summary, I DID NOT RECEIVE the time I came out of state for, AND am also left with a tattoo that has lost pigment and is an unfinished mess. His MIL/ paralegal will say it is because it is over an existing lasered tattoo, however the most questionable part of his work is done on parts of my skin where the old tattoo does not exist. In addition to this, Mike put a numbing cream on (without me requesting) and even said that some artists will say you lose pigment but he never had that issue. I have invested in quality work, including from a world renowned artist who never once treated me/ my body which he tattooed or my time with such disregard, so I would NEVER return to a tattoo studio or artist that shows such unprofessionalism and disregard for their clients like Mike does. As I have already seen online, Mike and his wife will make comments to others about "getting these hands" when they find themselves in conflict, so I have decided to handle this matter differently, and that starts with a genuine review of my experience. I do not recommend Mike or Sacred Daggers. read more

So I decided to get a Halloween tattoo from Logan Mara at Sacred Daggers. He was working on his apprenticeship. I have alot of jailhouse tattoos ( tattoos done out of a shop ). This was my second professional one out of probably 17 including a whole back piece. I could not believe the steps one must take in order to get licensed but it made sense. I appreciated seeing all the sanitizing and preparing he did. Man, tattoo artists these days are a whole new breed. Going to schools with major art programs, or digital designs. Everything is so high tech. Logan was very professional and took his art and future career seriously. He had awesome skills and I loved his appreciation for horror movies. I expect him to go far. The shop itself was amazing. I loved the whole theme. Everyone was so nice. I will be going again. Just gotta save after Christmas. read more

I had a really smooth experience here, especially for it being during the pandemic. I found Lani on Instagram and contacted her by email to set up an appointment for myself and a friend. She gave us a quote and put us on the books for a little over a month out. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted and asked to fill out our waivers on our phones. This was a pretty simple process, and also how they checked our IDs by photo upload. I had previously sent Lani a PNG of the script I wanted for my tattoo. She came out to greet us right on time with three different sizing options for the tattoos printed and ready for us to see. My friend was able to send her an image of the (slightly different) font she wanted and Lani prepared sizing options for her as well. She took us back one at a time, so we didn't get to be together. I'm not sure if this was standard or COVID procedure. We were both done, in and out in less than 45 minutes for our small tattoos. We paid her directly while we were back there--cash only, but they have an ATM. The shop minimum, which we paid, was $80 each. Overall, I found Sacred Daggers to be a highly clean, professional, and efficient shop. read more

Logan was truly so kind and made sure I was comfortable during the whole process. Logan ensured everything was extremely sanitary and walked me through the healing process, ensuring that I had no question. Where to begin, such a great experience for a first tattoo and so many thoughts about it; first of all, EVERYONE at Sacred Daggers was welcoming, helpful and friendly; Amber, the Receptionist and Mike's Assistant, was the first person I interacted with at Sacred Daggers, she helped me set up my appointment and get the design information to Mike that he used in designing my tattoo, she was always very responsive and positive and in person is so nice to work with, all of this says a lot about the comfortable and warm atmosphere of the place (especially important for a tattoo newbie like me on his first tattoo experience); secondly, the place is clean and well kept, when I was there I observed several other tattoo artists clean up after a client doing a thorough job of sanitizing every surface, definitely made me feel confident about being there (you can also tell a lot about an establishment by how the restrooms are kept, and the men's restroom was very clean and in good order!); thirdly, the overall atmosphere is relaxed and professional, the artists I met (Cecilia, Chris, and Kyle) were very friendly and made me feel welcome; finally, and definitely not last, the Owner, Mike Vasquez, and my tattooist, is an amazingly talented and creative artist!! He took the ideas I gave him for my tattoo and made them into reality way beyond my expectations! It was impressive to see how quickly and easily he created a design that captured everything I wanted and added elements to make it even better than I could have imagined! He was considerate throughout the over five hours of my appointment answering all my questions and making sure I was as comfortable as possible during the sessions. This place was amazing from start to finish. First off, the receptionist Amber is incredible. Emailed me back faster than night turned into day (literally). She was very sweet, upfront, and professional. Came in for a consult with Cecilia. Spent about 20 minutes with her going over our tattoo ideas. What we wanted and didn't want and she listened. Just WOW. I usually never go into a tattoo studio just because they always charge you up the butt because of overhead and booth rent but man, I actually really enjoyed my time going here. I didn't go to get myself a tattoo (for once, unfortunately) but I can still review, cause why not? Right? Anyway... As we first walked in, you could definitely tell you were not in the wrong place at all. The decor of this tattoo studio was so stereotypical, I absolutely loved it. By stereotypical I mean, it was dark, gothic, and deep but not to the point where you feel uncomfortable, ha ha ha. As soon as we walked in, there were two tattoo artist sitting on the couch straight chilling. But they were so sweet and asked us immediately what they could do to further assist us. SO, if you've never been to a tattoo shop, each artist has their own portfolio that you can look at to see what really fits your style. Not all tattoo shops work the same way though, for example, many artist will just take walk ins and some will actually sit down and draw out a sketch for your tattoo idea. Most of the artist at Sacred Daggers are the type of artist to sit there and sketch out an idea with you until you find exactly what you're looking for. Let's be real, getting a tattoo is a huge deal, it's something that's going to permanently stay on your body. You better pay what you're asking for. Anthony had Cecilia as his tattoo artist and she was fantastic. She was very personable and very attentive to detail when it came to sketching out Anthony's tattoo. Always get a tattoo artist that you can click with, that's the most important because once you can click with them, they'll be able to better understand what it is that you want. For the most part, everything was reasonably priced and her work was spectacular for the design that he wanted. This place is awesome!!! My wife and I were looking for a place nearby and we were so impressed. We were lucky enough to get Cecilia for a walk-in and I ended up getting four more tattoos after the first. My wife also brought in some ideas for Cecilia and what she created was far better than anything that either one of us came up with and my wife got the tattoo immediately. Cecilia is truly a gifted artist and incredibly talented. She is also part of Operation Tattooing Freedom for combat vets. You can come in and get ink while speaking with someone who has been there and gets it if you have been in combat. Being that I have obviously spent a lot of time there recently, I have had the honor of viewing the work of Mike, Mikey, Brandon and Ty and they are such incredible artists. I have got my first tattoo done here and it's everything I was looking for. Kyle Hisey is the artist I chose and he's a really good guy to work with. I gave Kylie a general request of a skull and snake tattoo I wanted on my should and he ran with the idea making a really beautiful shoulder piece for me. He talked with me throughout the tattoo explaining what exactly he was doing as he was doing line work, shading, and colors. There was no surprises about what was going on and if there was ever a request I had he was sure to fulfill it. For my first tattoo I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of pain, but Kyle did a really good job easing me through the tattoo and really talked to me as he was tattooing different areas that were more sensitive than others. He gave me fair warnings before he started with the needle and wiping. He also gave me good instructions in terms of the healing process about what to do and what not to do. The girl who wrote the long review had an appointment and was notified by the shop owner/appointed artist that he would be unavailable for a period of months due to his wedding and other appointments in another state. She was impatient, canceled her appointment, requested her $50 deposit to be refunded, it was denied so she made a bad review and is now upset that the shop owner did the same in return by writing a bad review on her to warn other shops of her behavior. Others chimed in a bullied her and she's blaming the shop owner. I have received many amazing tattoos from the shop owner and other artists in the shop (Cecilia) and have had an amazing experience. It is not your typical shop. It's fun, open and always a good experience. All the while being very safe, Sanitary and legal. I recommend anyone looking for a first tattoo, a new tattoo or a repair/cover up to come see these guys. But don't get your knickers in a twist because of a potentially long wait. These are top notch artists with a long clientele list. read more

Ashley was fantastic! I walked in on a Wednesday, spoke with Ashley, told her what I was looking to have done. She made an appointment for me the very next day. When I arrived she had the stencil drawn out and was ready to go. I asked to make a few changes and without hesitation she went back to the drawing board. Twenty minutes later she drew the pattern on my arm freehand and it turned out better than I had hoped for. She is very talented, patient and attentive. I will be seeing her again very soon.
