The bar lighting says it all ...

If you start your night in the Short North / Convention Center part of Columbus, I recommend finishing it here. I'm not going to lay out the exact entrance here, but if you can't follow the address and the hints about being under a pizza joint, you are too drunk and you need to just get an Uber home or to your hotel. So this place combines a Speakeasy with a Tiki Bar - two great tastes that taste great together. The bartender makes fantastic Tiki Classics, but can also whip up anything you can dream up. The ambiance is the perfect psychedelic tiki vibe you get from black lights and tiki chachkas. The doorman has the requisite muscles and gear to filter out the 17-year-olds with cheap fake IDs. If you are searching either "Speakeasy" or "Tiki" in downtown Columbus, Sacred Palm needs to be at the top of your list!

Chill tropical vibes in the freezer. Music and atmosphere were fun. Cocktail list and actual drinks were underwhelming. At least there is pizza on the way out.

Great place to get drinks pre or post dinner. The vibe is great, the bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are amazing!!! You gotta go here!!!

Finally got to go check out this bar it's pretty cool, kinda small with limited seatings. Love the decor and lighting really nice vibes. Drinks are strong and good kinda pricey but I didn't mind I only needed one ..probably depends what you order -mine had 3 different liquors in it probably why lol The people and bartenders are really nice and mostly a younger crown but a few in their 40's and 50's it looked like as well. Probably gonna bring a few friends next time.

Sacred Palm is secretly hidden inside the Mikey's across from the convention center. It's one of those speakeasies. There's a tropical kind of theme. It puts its drinks in funny cups. The kind with an umbrella. It doesn't have to be complicated to get in. Just ask someone about it. This is located downstairs. It's behind the kitchen. The bar looks like some kind of lounge in Miami. It's covered in blue carpet. There's neon lights, which are trippy. I had the Saturn. It's about $12 for a cocktail, which is kind of a lot but these are strong. They still are easy to swallow though. All the fruit juice helps. You can sometimes hardly taste the alcohol in it. The cocktails are very good. Beware of the one owner. If you sit on his couch he will kick you out of there.

We stumbled upon this place this past weekend after exploring the short north. Just like the other reviews said it's pretty easy to find. Just find the stairs down inside of Mikey's. At the bottom there will be a bouncer sitting outside a cooler (pretty neat to walk through). The speakeasy is Hawaiian themed, with low lighting and lots of color. There is ample seating -- door guy kept a count of how many people were in at a time so it didn't get crowded which was nice. Drinks are probably pretty standard for short north. On average we paid about $11-$12 for a cocktail. The staff was all super nice. Special thanks for Chris and Terell for making our night so fun. Would definitely return.

Ok Columbus, I see you! A friend recently told me about this new speakeasy below the new Mikey's Late-Night slice (across from the convention center) and I'm so glad he did. As I made my way through the pizza joint, down the stairs, and in line next to a giant freezer, I instantly felt my cool meter increase from pretty cool to damn she super cool (hair flip). And honestly, the freezer had nothing to do with it. Heck, I hadn't even walked through it yet. A "bouncer" welcomed me at the entrance, checked my ID, and guided me through the double door freezer, which yes - is stocked with random condiments and such. Once you walk through the second door you are greeted with warm lighting, dope lounge décor, fun jams, and cool people. The bar is straight ahead with televisions above showing fun music videos. Both times I've been here the music was on point. Now, the bartenders have some delicious recipes up their sleeves because both drinks I've gotten here were fire. The Blue Hawaiian is an explosion of fruit in your mouth. It's a vodka drink with pineapple, lime, coconut, and who knows what else... magic maybe! I also really enjoyed The Saturn, which is a gin drink with lemon, passonfruit, and a few other ingredients. They really nailed the tiki drinks here. They are tasty and do not slack on the liquor. They also have a small beer selection for those that prefer to skip on the harder drinks. As if the place couldn't get any cooler, the bathrooms are clean and decked out in crazy wallpaper and the hallway walls are adorned with quirky paintings. I am so pumped to see a hip new spot like this open up in Columbus and I'm excited to try the rest of their cocktail menu. The vibe here is really versatile. It's great for entertaining friends or even a fun date spot. I'll definitely be back and while I'd love for this joint to be Columbus' best kept secret... the secret is definitely already out!

I'd never heard of the Sacred Palm before but was very excited to learn about this underground speakeasy hidden underneath Mikey's Late Night Slice downtown! It's a trendy, tropical themed bar with cool blacklights, flowers and pretty cocktails. The drinks are a bit overpriced at ~$12 but taste great. It's a popular spot and kind of hard to find a seat. There are maybe 5 groups of chairs. My only constructive criticism is the music was a bit loud for the small space and not quite the right vibe- they were playing EDM but would have been better with some chill music.

I've been wanting to check this place out since I heard about it. A group of us went Saturday night about an hour after they opened. We were put on a waiting list as it was already busy! We didn't wait very long, and when they were ready for us the security guard brought us around the door and into the bar. The decor and overall vibe was awesome and they had great music playing. The bartenders were very friendly and the drinks were amazing!

Went in on a very dead Halloween night. I didn't mind once I saw how small the place is. I had been looking forward to checking this place out since the summer time. It definitely has a cool speakeasy vibe. The bartender greeted my friends and I quickly and politely. The drinks, like most have mentioned, are pricey but what I expected at a spot like this. My friends and I stayed for a bit before heading to the next bar. The place is definitely a good place to begin the night. It's small and intimate. The drinks were decently strong. I would be interested in returning on a more crowded night but honestly the vibe definitely benefits from it being less packed.

This place is probably one of the greatest hidden gems in downtown Columbus! Located at the infamous Mikey's Late Night Slice on High & Vine. To get to the hidden spot, you have to go downstairs and check in with the bouncer/host. Once you enter through the freezer..... you are welcomed with pink tropical decor. The scenery is so cool and the drinks were very strong. The atmosphere was very nice and fun to hangout with friends.

Sweet " secret" hang out. Nice place to start or end your night. Very chill vibe. Friendly bartenders strong drinks.

I ordered the octopus and for $28 it was definitely not worth it nor was it delicious. They give you two small pieces. If I knew that I would have never ordered it. Plus it was not cooked properly. Octopus is my favorite food and I have many years of experience ordering it and cooking it myself. This was very disappointing. The one woman server did a good job managing about 10 couples herself. I would return but I would think twice about ordering dinner here.

Once he realized it was actually a brewery, he was all in! The brewery has a great atmosphere, and the bartender was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Since we've been visiting several breweries during our getaway, they even gave us a Seventh Son passport, which was a nice surprise and a fun way to continue exploring the local brewery scene. I ordered the Wild & Sour flight and really enjoyed it. It was a great way to sample a variety of unique flavors, and each pour showcased the creativity and quality that Antiques on High is known for. Between the excellent beer selection, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a brewery I'd recommend to anyone visiting the area. Looking forward to stopping back again!

I went again for a Book Bar event held upstairs and the bartender was not nice to me. I used my one drink ticket and chose not to see her again. I stopped in recently because I had time to kill in the area. I sat at the bar and another female bartender took my order. We had to duck down to talk under the taps. Since it wasn't a weeknight happy hour, I paid $12 for a glass of a wine. I was going to tip her but she walked away and I didn't see her again before I left. I did see grumpy bartender, but I didn't order again.
