I have had 2 visits with Kelly Bash, both were the 90-minute "Weekend Warrior" massage. When I first arrived, I noticed the positive, non judgmental atmosphere, perfect for rest and healing! I was greeted with a warm pack for my neck! Kelly is extremely knowledgeable about physical conditions, anatomy, and massage therapy. I found her energy level and excitement to be refreshing as well. I love the fact that she truly loves what she does, and it shows. I would not hesitate to recommend Kelly or any of the professionals at Praxis. Then after viewing the website it just seemed like exactly the kind of place I'd go to at home so I booked a massage with Matthew. Little did I know it would be one of the best massages I've ever had!! So i've probably gotten a couple hundred massages over the years (I spent some time overseas where it was affordable enough to get a massage every couple days -- man I miss that!!) and in half a dozen countries and I'm not kidding when I say this was one of the best ever. I got a combination rejuvenation/zen massage which was really a perfect balance of body and mind relaxation. There were elements of Thai massage, lomi lomi, swedish, and a little Matthew magic! So I left feeling great and today I still feel the benefits of the massage so I am completely happy with my experience. But that's not all -- I just got a follow-up email from Matthew that was personalized and included some additional information about an injury I'm trying to heal! I couldn't believe he took the time to follow up and send this info to someone who doesn't live in the area and can't really refer anyone or bring repeat business. And now finally to a point where I am attempting to implement regular massages into my schedule. Jeni is the one who worked with me to get from the point I was at originally (lack of mobility, in a great deal of pain, and completely unable to relax) to a place where I was not only practicing yoga daily. But my mobility had improved, and my pinched nerves were only a bad memory. I let things slide for a long while. And needless to say my body rebelled. All it took was one long overdue visit with Jeni, and things were back on track. She is in tune with what each client needs. So you won't be getting a generic massage from her, unless that is exactly what you are requesting, & then I'm assuming she could meet that requirement. Jeni wants to work with each individual client to ensure that they get what THEY need from the massage. Communication is key in this situation. If you, as a client do not tell the massage therapist what you are needing or expecting, they can't exactly provide it. But Jeni knows the right questions to ask, & she is extremely intuitive and responsive to the different issues, & the anatomy. She will improvise if needed depending on your situation. In my case, I had some "problem areas", & she suggested some options for the current massage, as well as future massages that might benefit me more, & gave me the input afterwards for discussion. I get the sense that Jeni is genuinely passionate and determined to improve the quality of life for each of her clients. She does what she can to lead me down the path to wellness, even when I have been slacking in some of the areas that are essential for maintaining the zen, peace, and painless state I am hoping to achieve. My two cents for seeing Jeni, and any other providers you are seeking service from in your life -- COMMUNICATE what it is you are expecting from the experience. It is not their job to read your mind. Ask questions, speak up, and know that you being communicative will enhance your experience, and most likely get the best results. I did just that, and I am mighty happy with the outcome. My scapulas, neck, and calves are, too. NOTE: The location is nice, quiet office park, with plenty of parking in a lot. There is one flight of stairs to reach the space itself. Jeni is a one person operation. So you can text or call her to schedule an appointment. You will be dealing directly with her (no receptionist, etc).

This was the first wrap that used ace-like bandages to wrap...it was a little weird and time consuming to actually wrap but it wasn't that bad. After being wrapped, I laid on a water massage bed and while there could have been more pressure on the jets, it was ok. Leslie was the therapist and she's very personable. While it is not cheap, it's worth it. You get ushered back to the bathroom to change. You have your own locker that you can put all your stuff in and lock, so very secure. Very nice bathrobe and sandals to put on and then you go into a waiting room. Very calm and serene. A couple of different flavored waters to choose from and snacks if you're so inclined. Waited in there about 10 mins (you can bring your phone but come on people - you're here to relax. Put the flipping thing in the locker. You can disconnect for an hour). My masseuse came and collected me and ushered me to a nice quiet room. She listened to what I wanted her to do and left me to get under the sheets. The room was nice and warm and I was never cold. The massage was WONDERFUL. I needed a deep tissue and she delivered. Within 2 days my shoulder and neck were worlds better. After the massage they take you back to the bathroom. I super appreciate that there is a shower. The only downside of massage is having that oil all over you and getting dressed again. Loved the shower - very clean and great towels. Highly recommend and will return!
