I feel amazing after taking the cold plunge at Amani Spa! I am a mail carrier & a personal trainer whom suffers from severe Plantar fasciitis. Cold therapy is said to be the best treatment. Being that my entire body was aching I took the plunge! It took me 4 tries but paired with the sauna and stretching, I was able to sit in the plunge for 14 minutes. My therapist was incredibly experienced, checking with me often to ensure her pressure was right, her experience was evident by the way her hands moved across my aching body, plucking each knot into a relaxed piece of Silly Puddy. (I was fortunate to get assigned to Dee - who kindly - offered to stay last minute - past her shift - to do a last minute request - insanely awesome, right?!). When I left Dee's hands, months of deep sadness, anxiety and stress seemed to roll off my neck, shoulders, hips and toes. Leaving me with a recharged feeling of "I can get thru all of my challenges of late. I can conquer my sadness, lethargy and poor eating habits. Maybe even begin my previous workout commitment.
