A typical service includes live music (with a band and choir), meditation, and positive uplifting message, and more spectacular music. There's a children's ministry. Seeking to turn a new leaf, I followed the advice of both Tatyana C and a non-Yelp friend who had great things to say about this church. I'm not going into a theological discourse, but what I like best about Unity in contrast with the religion of my upbringing is it's emphasis on positivity and how the connection with God / Higher Power / the Universe can worked with to better oneself. Unlike a traditional church, the "altar" looks more like a concert auditorium, the membership is diverse, and the minister seems approachable and human. The sermon doesn't feel like you're being talked down to, either and the meditation is refreshing and relaxing.
