There are afternoon specials, so check their website and buy tickets before you arrive to get a deal. I will say, that because the exteriors of all the holes are raised to keep the ball inside, it made me a little nervous due to the tripping hazards of each hole. My 80 yr old parents enjoyed it, but I was stressed that they were going to lose their balance and fall over. I'm only mentioning this in case you're bringing some senior citizens or people with lower mobility. Otherwise it was fun and the staff was super nice. I love how you don't have to keep track of each putt, the technology does it for you! We did have some issues with it, but Jenah was working in our area and was very helpful and available to fix any tech issues. There are four 9-hole courses and it really is a fun activity for people of all ages! Plus, they have a massive bar and menu, so you can really make it an all day event!

Puttshack is a hip spot with a number of 9-hole mini golf courses inside. They have a full bar and serve food, but we just chose to play golf. The scoring is the coolest part here. The balls have chips in them, and the course knows where your ball is at all times. It scores the round for you, and each hole has additional challenges called "supertubes". Scoring is backwards from traditional golf, so you'll want as many points as you can to win. The pricing on weekdays is super reasonable here, and that's why we delayed our visit to our last day in Denver. The other days we were in town fell on a weekend, and the prices felt kind of outrageous for weekend golf. If you can, I would certainly stick to visiting Puttshack on the weekdays. It was also nearly empty during our visit, which made it much more enjoyable. I would return to a Puttshack for the fun gameplay and cool scoring mechanics. Just be sure to watch the pricing tiers based on the day of your visit!

The story: On July 4th we teed of at 6:20am for our round. The starter was awesome and helped set the mood for a great morning of golf! $92 each for the round but its a holiday weekend and typically, a nicer Aurora course. All good! The course is in rough shape! It has been in the 90s and we haven't had any rain, I get it, it costs money to run a course. Now the bad: The marshall was waiting off the left side of #3 fairway, hands on hips waiting to tell us we were slow. Our carts tell us this, but thanks! The group ahead was moving fast and we did have a slow start (it happens). The GPS said we were 4 minutes behind and there was no one waiting on us, which the marshall acknowledged that no one was waiting on us. No "Hey, good morning!" Or "hey, I know its early and we're all just getting going, but try your best to keep pace today so everyone has a good round" or anything. Just a rude course marshall that unnecessarily needs to nagg golfers. He followed us for the next 2 holes, which really annoyed all 4 of us. It wasn't a great experience after spending $194 for me and my wife to play a round of golf with friends and get nagged straight away. No beverage cart on the 4th of July until after 10am...? We were on hole #15 before we saw the beverage cart. Oh and by the way, 10 minutes ahead of pace at that the turn, AND finished the round in 4 hours and 33 minutes. Seems like we kept pace fine after we got going. If you want us playing speed golf speed your GPS carts up from 7-10 MPH to 12-15 MPH and it may help your grouchy Saturday morning marshall's rude attitude. We'll play elsewhere for a while. These kind of employees should remind themselves we are paying a lot of money to golf on these courses and we all hit bad shots now and again. If there's no golfers there's no need for marshalls. No one wants to shank shots, so CHILL OUT! Cart guys were super cool as usual. Shout out to the cart guys, pro shop, and starter.

This was a very good golf course. Because of water restrictions (even though they water with…read morenon-potable water) the course is in horrible shape. All because the mayor of the city mandated that the course can't look better than people's yards. Do they not realize the cost to bring this course back to playable conditions? Idiots you're going to cost the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring this back. You had access to all the non-potable water you could use. Non-potable water is not safe for anything but watering grass. The whole back nine the fairways were mostly dead. In addition you still think that you can charge about a $100 per round with a cart on the weekend. I hear Saddle rock isn't any better. As the saying goes you can't fix stupid.

Now on to the good stuff, this course was redone about 15 years ago by Tom Doak it is wide open and approachable for weaker players but also has a more challenging scoring line on every hole. The course is kept in good shape and if you'd like is very walkable. A few things I'd like to see improved as someone who has played here for years: 1.) replace the trees that die, some of the ones we have lost have really changed the character of certain holes. 2.) invest more in F&B, if there is a full tee sheet there should be one cart parked out by 12 at that large intersection and one lapping.

I immediately responded, "I'm sorry, we'll go faster." Instead of simply accepting that response or having a respectful conversation, Steve screamed back, told us to look at the people behind us and "golf faster," then drove away. I went to the clubhouse because I felt the interaction was unnecessarily rude and wanted to discuss it. What followed was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have ever had. During the conversation, three different men referred to me as "hysterical." Did I raise my voice? Yes. After repeatedly feeling dismissed, ignored, and talked over, I became upset. I also cried. Not because of golf, but because I felt like no one was listening to me and parts of the situation felt more like I was being mocked than heard. At one point, in front of my daughter, I asked Steve to stop walking away from me and have a face-to-face conversation. Rather than addressing the situation, he threatened to call the police. What makes this especially frustrating is that when Steve later spoke with my husband, my husband explained that we were not behind pace at all and that we were actually right on time. Steve agreed and admitted that he was wrong. In other words, the entire situation could have been avoided with a respectful conversation from the beginning. Steve then told us he hoped this would not leave a bad impression of the course and that he hoped we would come back. My husband's response was simple: it is unlikely. No child should have to watch their mother be treated that way for asking to be spoken to with basic kindness and respect. I am a new golfer and was excited to spend an evening on the course with my family. Instead, I left feeling humiliated and discouraged. I fully understand that course staff have a job to do and that pace-of-play conversations are sometimes necessary. What is not necessary is speaking disrespectfully to customers, dismissing their concerns, calling them "hysterical," threatening them, and then later admitting the complaint was unfounded. The golf itself was not the issue. The treatment we received was. Unfortunately, that is what our family will remember about this course.

When we arrived, we were a few minutes late, and the staff initially appeared accommodating. However, when it was time for our tee time, we were not provided with a course map or clear instructions about where we were supposed to wait or begin. We proceeded based on the information available to us. Shortly afterward, a gentleman approached us yelling, "Stop it, stop it, stop it." He was not wearing a name tag or identifiable uniform, so we genuinely did not know who he was or why he was addressing us in that manner. We later learned that we were apparently at the wrong hole. Had we simply been given a map or clear directions when we checked in, this situation could have easily been avoided. We were then told to return and line up again and that our names would be called over the intercom. We decided to take a very quick bathroom break. At approximately 8:01, we stepped away, and by 8:04 we had returned. We were then confronted again, this time being told loudly and in front of customers and employees that our names had been called over the intercom six minutes earlier and that we could simply get our money back. The manner in which this was handled was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We were not intentionally disregarding instructions; we were unfamiliar with the course and had not been provided with the information necessary to navigate the starting area. A simple explanation or direction would have resolved the situation. What was especially disappointing is that we had experienced golfers in our group who have played at many courses and even they had never experienced this type of treatment. As beginners, we certainly did not feel welcomed or supported. I do want to acknowledge that the bartender and one of the cooks independently apologized to us afterward, which we appreciated. One of them also indicated that this type of behavior from Charles Ray was not unusual. We traveled a long way to play here and unfortunately left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Golf should be an enjoyable experience, especially for people who are new to the sport. Clear communication and basic professionalism would have made a significant difference. I hadn't played a pitch and putt in a long, long time, and with barely any equipment required to play, this was definitely worth a visit. Only $1 per club rental, we each chose 1 club and 1 putter. Lots to choose from, so it took us some time to choose carefully. The 1 club + putter challenge we had made for a real fun round of golf, added a layer of thinking to a fun round. The golf was great. Super casual. We came mid day on a weekday, so it was not busy. We were allowed to bring some beverages (went to nearby Denver Brew Co), and had a lot of fun. Greens are surprisingly fast, especially downhill. Bunkers had legit sand, and there is even the threat of water. We bought a 6 pack of balls in the pro shop cuz they were only $5 (only needed one each), and bought a divot repair tool ($1) because we were planning on raining golf balls on all the greens. Lol. We had so much fun, we played a second 9. Joined up this time with a third, and he was a super fun hang. Good golfer too. All tee shots are off mats, which is expected. Wasn't a problem for us. It wasn't super busy, but pitch and putt is going to attract all manner of skill levels. We had a lot of time to kill, so we were prepared to wait and chill at each hole (back in the day I'd go to places where we could be 10-15 people deep at each tee box), but it moved fast today. That said, when we were leaving, we saw a group of 4 and 5, and most looked like beginners. I have another day in Denver, we may try and play another round. If not during this trip, then for sure the next time I come. Great fun!

Great for an after work chip and putt with some beers to relax. They don't sell beers there but they allow you to bring drinks with you. It's also not bad to walk, so highly recommend making it fun with friends playing with just 3 clubs and a putter.

This is a great, relatively short par 3 nine hole course. I knew it was in there. I have driven…read morepassed the road to get to it 100+ times. Never tried it - until this morning. My kiddo just turned six and has been golfing for years now. I decided it was time to let him play a 'real adult course' after playing exclusively the First Tee par 3 courses around town. So first things first - the pro shop is out back of the building and a tiny bit tricky to locate the first time around. There's a bag drop out front, but doesn't need to be there. Just take your clubs straight back. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly. There is a discount for Junior golfers, but no such deal for veterans. All in all it was $25 to play (total for two of us) and we were able to tee off on time. The course is is great condition, and it is clear that they have a staff that cares about presentation and course management. The winding lake in the middle only brings water into play on a couple of the holes. The rest are pretty straight shots, and nothing is out of reach for most golfers. I think the longest was just short of 200 yards. We had a great day, and even though we had to wait at a number of tee boxes, the whole round only took aboutj 90 minutes. There is a very fun looking restaurant right as you step off the ninth green that we definitely want to try at some point, but it was a work day, so raincheck on that one. All in all, great experience.
