I have had extensive dental work and value my teeth. There is a major bridge and other work. I do NOT have periodontal disease. I was told I could not get a regular cleaning, based on the hygienists evaluation of periodontal disease. I was going to pay $275 for a special cleaning. I do NOT have periodontal disease. I then asked if I could get a regular cleaning and was told I would need to come back. That is what I set up the appointment for! Bottom line, I either took 'their' cleaning and paid the money OR would have to come back for a regular cleaning (that I scheduled the same day). How does this work? I was extremely uncomfortable and told the office manager I didn't want another appointment and that I would be going back to my regular dentist. I walked out. My husband will not be returning either. I purchased additional dental insurance and will go back to our previous dentist.

They filed two claims to my insurance requesting a total of $1,069. This amount for a cleaning? I was also told that I would get an estimate to fix and fill a couple of cracks in one tooth. The tooth did not bother me at all. I never received that estimate. I am more shocked at the attempt to get an absurd amount from my insurance company for a simple cleaning. I cancelled my next appointment and went with a different practice. The office is need of some upgrades too. Equipment and furniture seemed outdated, except for the panoramic x-ray machine. I suppose that's why the hefty claim?

I was able to quickly get into see him for a second opinion, and his office staff is very friendly. He gave me a very candid and honest second opinion, so I scheduled treatment with him, and the procedure went smoothly. He made sure I was comfortable before and during the procedure, and I surprisingly didn't feel a thing while he was working on my gums. The night after the gum surgery I didn't feel any pain or discomfort, like I was afraid I might, after the local anesthetic wore off. He did such a great job, I'd definitely recommend him!

Dr Wallace gives you a call the next day to make sure you're ok too, which is a nice little touch. The office and waiting areas are always clean and tidy, no clutter and very professional. I did have a shock after my first visit for fillings. I didn't realise how expensive they were. As it turns out, the new lady at the desk had forgotten to give me the estimate and I didn't think to ask for one. After I paid, I got the estimate for the rest of the fillings, and on my most recent visit, Dr Wallace was very apologetic. I should have received the estimate prior to any work being done. He gave me a discount and made sure I was 100% ok to continue. He was so sincere and I trust him so we're all good now.

When we arrived the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortabe and we were greeted very nicely and with a smile. Dr. Hunter is wonderfully relaxing and has a wry sense of humor. He listens and does not make you feel rushed. It was obvious he cares about his patients as he spend quite a bit of time questioning my sister on her medical background. Dr. Hunter was very attentive to both of us and his eye contact was wonderful. We were able to schedule the actual procedure for the next day. Again the warm welcome up arrival and no waiting. When the procedure was finished, Dr. Hunter himself (not an assistant) came to get me and we went to recovery to discuss post operative care. My sister was relaxed in a recliner with a warm blanket; the only thing missing was a glass of wine!
