I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years. After I was ineligible to stay on my parents insurance, I didn't have insurance for a while but when I got my very own plan, I came here. I appreciated their online interface making it easy for me to schedule online (someone who has anxiety about calling and making appointments - part of why I had not seen a dentist for such a prolonged time). Their online interface also allowed me to input my insurance information ahead of time so I already knew they took my insurance. I needed to get a lot of work done but I truly appreciated Dr. O'brien's professionalism. She never once made me feel guilty about not seeing a dentist in so long and she didn't make me feel ashamed of the work I inevitably needed to get done. Dr. O'brien was also very cognizant of my comfort. When I felt pain, she stopped immediately to administer more numbing so that I would be as comfortable as possible during my procedures. The office staff were also extremely kind and fun. They walked me through every little thing: my insurance, cost, what I owed. They were able to quickly accommodate my schedule and I was able to get all of my fillings done within a week of my initial appointment. I had one of the worst dental experiences of my life at this office. I was left waiting for long periods of time during every step of my visit, only to be told I had gingivitis--which I absolutely do not, and which was later confirmed by another provider. They also pushed several "treatments" on me as if they were urgent medical necessities, but I've since learned that every single one of them was completely optional. That directly contradicts what the dentist told me when I asked if anything could be removed from the bill. Speaking of the bill: they overcharged me by $100. The only reason it was caught is because my husband and I compared our receipts--we had the exact same treatment, yet I was charged significantly more. When he called to ask about it, the staff was rude and dismissive. Also, I've never had to pay anything at the dentist before but I somehow walked out paying $360. Wtf. The administrative side was just as bad. I had to call twice to get an itemized receipt. I also had to call twice to get my x-rays sent to my orthodontist. Every interaction felt like they were doing me a favor instead of their job. Between the unnecessary treatment recommendations, the incorrect diagnosis, the overcharging, and the rude and disorganized staff, I will never be returning. I strongly recommend going literally anywhere else. This office has lost my trust completely and I'm now scared to trust any dentist, because in the end this place is a business and they only care about their profit. read more

I came in, triggered and traumatized by previous dentists. I was nervous and worried. The entire staff was very compassionate, caring, meticulous, thoughtful, and thorough. I felt seen and cared for. We ended up doing a lot of work, and while it was definitely so much that needded to be done, it was needed and I'm glad I came. The appointment was easy to arrange, and I felt well taken care of. Already, with my temporary crowns, I am smiling ear to ear because all of my issues were addressed. I also appreciate the kindness and patience with me as a nervous patient. My mouth now looks better than I ever dreamed it could. The cosmetic work and the deep cleaning and other work really came together in this visit. I came in for my normal cleaning, I love the laser cleaning (less of the scrappy- scrappy) , it cost a bit more but it also addresses the gums, so I love getting my teeth cleaned this way!!!! I had veneers put on back in 2013, they were "No prep" veneers. And over time, some decay was going on behind the veneers. Dr Tesar told me we would have to address it at something- so we started this process!! First of all, lovely staff !! Then, they made my new temporary while I was getting the teeth cleaned !! So I will be back in 3 weeks for the actual veneers to be put on - pics to come but if my temporary is an example of what's to come.... they are gonna be beautiful!!! read more

I do not recommend coming to this facility. They try to charge you extra for things you didn't even get done. They try to tell you that you need to come in to the office to be supervised taking anxiety medication that they didn't give you an option on whether or not you could take them. Called other dentists and they said this is very unusual and weird for them to tell me I had to come in an hour early to be "supervised" as if I am incapable of taking pills myself. Called another dentist office in the area and they told me in the 18years they have been doing this they have never required anyone to come into the office to take the pills. I told them that I often faint after shots and they left the room for more than 20mins after giving me the injection without monitoring me to see how I was doing. I am currently sitting in the waiting room again after getting the root canal and they are telling me I need to wait another 30 minutes because they don't have any free rooms even though they just took two other patients back so they do have rooms just not a priority for them to finish patients in order. Overall very disappointed by the lack of quality care and consideration for another human being who has a fear of going to the dentist to begin with. Will never be coming back to this place again and you are better off going somewhere else too. Would rather fly back to Florida and see my old dentist who knows how to properly take care of patients than come to this place ever again. This place retraumatized me on a new level, so thanks for that. read more

Had a wonderful experience here at Aurora Dentist office & Orthodontics! As soon as I walked right in, Justin greeted me and helped me get signed in. I then met Lulu who was very patient with me, since I kept having to readjust the mouth piece! Haha. She helped me to get some pictures of my teeth but not just any pictures. Here they take digital X-rays (which I happened to learn that it's wayyyyy better that film X-rays!). They sent my X-rays over to the dentist and she studied them before coming in to make sure I was well informed on what she saw and how they might be able to help me work on my teeth. My dentist, Shelby, who is by far one of the sweetest, kind hearted, dentist I've ever had, was such a joy! She has a Great sense of humor, too! We couldn't stop talking and laughing as she was cleaning my teeth. I definitely enjoyed my experience and I know if you give them a chance, they'll give you the same, if not, better service! 10/10 would Highly recommend! read more

Best dental experience I've had by far. Dr. Tesar is kind, highly skilled and has a great team around her. Dr. Tesar has cutting edge technology in her office so she can offer solutions & procedures that other dentists can't. For example, she was able to remove a white spot from my fiancé's front tooth that other dentists told her was permanent. I had custom inlaid fillings milled by a 3D printer machine in her office-- all done in about 20 minutes. The cherry on top is the medical office space. It's modern, clean and in a great location. After 26 years with my dentist he retired. I had followed him across town as we both moved in opposite directions. At 77, I thought it would be easier to look for a dentist in my area. It seems that I could not just walk in and ask questions, I needed to make appointments etc. Imagine my surprise when after shopping at my local grocery I saw a new dentist sign. I walked in and told the receptionist that I was shopping for a new dentist. I asked all kinds of questions and she was very patient and answered them. Again, surprise, Dr. Tesar came around the corner, introduced herself and answered more of my questions. I did not make an appointment that day, however by the end of the week I had and have never looked back. I originally went to this office under a year ago for emergency dental work. I was told at the time that they took the insurance I have. Dental work done two teeth pulled the mistake I made was getting the crown that is still hurting me. Three weeks ago I kept getting emails and texts about coming in for a six-month check up so I went onto their Website signed in and put down a time in the afternoon after I got off work only to have an office person call me and tell me that appointment wasn't available. I went into the second time. I was calling. Told that that appointment was not available received a call yesterday that they didn't take our insurance that I received a call that my appointment for dentistry was on today then I received a third call stating they didn't take our insurance but they would after September, I've tried to sign into their online account and have been blocked. The 800 number tells me I'm not authorized to call it so I guess I'm gonna have to go into the office in person and get my records if I could give zero for this, I would Dr. Tesser, Dr. O'Brien or phenomenal doctors as for how the office is run and the billing well, decide for yourself read more

Great experience, I've had nothing but bad experiences with dentists out here. These people genuinely care about YOUR health. They offered to cover the cost of a procedure because I couldn't afford it but needed it due to a health hazard it could cause. That speaks volumes, the insurance probably covered a third of the cost. Taking that kind of loss just to help people in the community, in these times? I'm absolutely blown away. These people own their mistakes, and correct them. This is a model business, if you're a dentist for a competitor, and you're looking to improve how you run things, model your business after these good folks. If you're looking for a new dentist, you've found it. They're patient and they earn your trust and business. Not to mention they use very up to date tech that makes typically uncomfortable processes much more comfortable. Shout out to Jason (I hope I got that right) for doing right by the customer. I went in for a toothache and the dentist ended up pulling a tooth that wasn't bothering me and it took 5 hours because he was in over his head! He left part of the tooth in and now I have a horrible freezing sensation in my mouth and it travels down my throat making it hard to swallow! I think he damaged a nerve but no one will get back with me! This place is all about money and getting as much out of their patient as they can! It's get em in and get em out! This is a corporate dentist office! Now they won't answer me because I told the owner that I was going to go after the dentist that destroyed my mouth! I'm sorry it came to this but I'm now living with this intense discomfort that had been with me now for 2 1/2 months and it isn't subsiding! I went in for a cleaning and exam they had a special at the time 69$ for xrays and cleaning dr tesar looked at my X-rays and gums and told me I needed 3 root canals and crowns also a 2,000 deep cleaning + 1 cavity, I'v never had more then a cavity my whole life so I was a little shocked they couldn't do my cleaning that day wanted me to come back I then googled and you don't know you need a crown until they get into the root so i went for a 2nd opinion they told me I didn't have anything wrong at all no deep cleaning was needed I don't have 1 cavity this is my 1st review I've ever wrote anywhere I would stay away from this office there clearly money hungry And only out to get as much as they can from someone read more
