I was a patient of Saddleback Dentistry for years. I even referred both of my parents, my wife and my sister to this office. What are we off wise last time I went over there. I had some sensitivity in the back of my mouth. All of a sudden they discovered that I had cavity in tooth # 19 and tooth # 30 and I needed a root canal in tooth # 30. I can understand the root canal, what I don't understand was the cavities. I have been religiously going to this office for a cleaning every six month and I've never missed an appointment even during Covid and when they weren't even doing polishing and yet still charging full price . What broke the straw for me was after that visit they told me that they will send me the cost for the root canal and I waited a week I haven't heard from them, I left a review on their inter-office link criticizing what happened. I immediately received two calls one from Doctor Conkle and the other one was from the office administrator asking me to call back.I called back and requested to speak to Dr. Conkle. I was put on hold five minutes later I got hung up . I called back and told the operator what happened and requested to they speak to the office administrator to complain to her and talk about going a week without receiving the cost off doing the root canal. I literally again was placed on hold and got hung up on. I swore I never go back after that treatment. read more

Honestly wish I could keep going but it's so disappointing how limited their hours are; no weekend options and latest appointment time no later than 2pm is waaaay to early for any kind of accommodations for work. I came here for a second opinion on a toothache I had been experiencing for a little over a year. My previous dentist that I had seen for 30 years couldn't figure out the problem. Then I went to Dr. Garcia for a second opinion. Quickly after x rays were done, he could tell me that I needed a root canal - my first one. I came back the next week to get it done and it was so quick (it was a single rooted tooth versus a molar) and he was SO caring and comforting during the whole process. My experience here is an 11/10. Guillermo was also wonderful as well, remembering to say hi when I came to all 3 of my appointments! Dr. Garcia's assistant today was incredibly sweet as well (I can't remember her name...Ana, maybe?). All in all, I highly recommend this place. I hate to talk down on my previous dentist but he always seemed rushed and would snap at his assistants. Dr. Garcia really took his time with me and was also very sweet with his assistants. The front office staff really needs some training in customer service skills. I've been a patient of Saddleback for many years primarily because of their exceptional hygienist, John. Today they called me and told me he was not available for my scheduled appointment and said I could not schedule with him until October. The girl had a take it or leave attitude. When I told her I'd just switch to the dentist who did my Invisalign, she said, "Awesome!" I'm finally leaving, and I'll be taking my husband with me. I've dealt with abrupt attitudes from the staff several times now; I've had enough. The dentist who did my Invisalign, OC Healthy Smiles, is fantastic. I've earned $700 cash in referral fees from them and they even sent me a gift card since we're expecting twins. The difference in customer service between these dentists is like night and day. I will miss John, however; he's the best hygienist I've ever had. read more
