We…read moredefinitely like the zoo if you are looking for a place to go and visit and spend a few hours seeing different exhibits this is a great place I do see that in the years to come that they are making some major improvements by adding more more exhibits, which continues to give me more excitement about return visits, knowing that there are greater things to come so I still highly recommend stopping in and taking your fame, they've added a lot of things over the years, including a massive playground. That is a great break for the family after long walks to just kind of slow the pace of the zoo down. One thing that I don't enjoy quite as much is the long stretches between exhibits I know that they've been working on this. But just at the zoo it is very easy to get overheated and exhausted because it is very spread out not a lot of trees around and just a very large distance sometimes between exhibits So you're definitely gonna wanna bring plenty of water and if you have kids bring a stroller or something that has shade so that way they don't get more out super easy. We also got the chance to go to the zoo like Full thing fun cool little games to walk-through and play at it cuts the zoo in half and you are able to walk-through and just play a few cool games along the way. They are not any animals out so it is just solely there for you too bring your kids and play a few games and see some lights we were under the impression that it would be both you could go and see some animals at night and play the games.

There is a path leading to the bridge where you could walk across it . Both sides have restrooms. I have noticed there are TONS of mosquitoes that straight attack you during mosquito season. I stay clear of this park during that time, because I'm allergic to their bites. Love walking my dog because there is lots of shade and he loves the squirrels that he chases up the trees. Lately there's been a lot of electric bikes - kids in groups of like 5-7 at a time zooming through really fast on the walking path so heads up and be aware of that.

from when i'd arrived for first friday art crawl, i was pleasantly surprised by the amount of art…read moreand craft booths, and though i'm not absolutely positive if it really was more than previous visits to the first friday of each month event, the sheer number and average as well as overall quality of the booths stands out among the few visits i've taken to the event, a trend that is perhaps the expectation but merits present appreciation nonetheless. and while i'd not taken a picture of any art from the booth that stands out for me the most, i'll shoutout here the artist in subject, "f. thompson", who depicts city landmarks with mosaic like triangular shapes in the backgrounds of the prints, along with special works, like a large canvas celebrating the city centennial. a booth with terrariums made from reused items and another promoting awareness and discussion of relief effort addressing the horrible attacks against the people of gaza each stands out for me among the booths also. and all that without even mentioning live music that i'd try to begin describing as ethereal, soulful, a sort of gritty electro, but would summarize as good music, really good music, with cool lights over the stage and in the crowd to boot.

Guthire Green hosts a Food Truck Wednesday that takes place from 11am - 1/2pm (it's seasonal). The food trucks usually have different rotations. Selections from tacos to lemonades to Greek food. Mayfest, Hip Hop 918, (part of) Tulsa Tough... Guthrie Green is included in a lot of events Downtown with it being in the middle of Downtown Tulsa. There are restaurants well within walking distance, art galleries as well. The baseball field is maybe 5 mins away. Can't forget First Friday!! There are double tennis courts, a picnic pavilion, two swings, and playground equipment. Everything is in working condition, and there are a few wonderful trees that give lots of shade from the afternoon sun. The parking lot needed its stripes repainted, and I wish the swing set had had a bucket seat for a baby, but for a neighborhood park, it's a-ok! Nice to visit if you live in walking distance or need to find a tennis court, but if you're making a special trip for a couple of hours at the park, Tulsa has bigger, more lively, and more baby-friendly options.
