A little about it: - pickleball (6 courts and it can get busy. Free) - trail that goes into the woods a little bit. NOT like hiking. - disc golf. Challenging, yet good for beginners. Just skip the holes with the water hazards. - playground. Two playgrounds on the same side of the park. - fields. Soccer and baseball fields. - dog friendly. If you are a loose leash owner, I've seen plenty of people with dogs off leash. Lots of room away from the road. There's not tons of off leash dogs there btw if that concerns you. - picnic/gazebo spots - parking in several areas Again, it's not perfect. It can get busy like all parks, there might be people that you don't care for, and it doesn't have every single feature a park can have - but it gets the job done.

Bathrooms were super clean and we noticed they had updated the frisbee golf to include more "holes"!

It was better shaded before they improved it with the new sports complex, but at least they did plant trees to replace the ones that were torn down. Unfortunately, it will take a while to grow big enough to provide decent shade. That said, it's still a nice walking park. You can get about a mile by walking the trail once. It starts in the parking lot, wraps around a pond and then back to the parking lot. Oreo like it!

Keep to the side of the trail and try to keep your eye out for bicycles as there is definite debate as to who has the right of way (Hint: it's the pedestrians but when your handlebar hits someone and you dump into the road, it's too late.) The climbing wasn't necessary, just part of some of our fun. From the parking lot area, we went up the hill towards the trees, away from the lake, and the trails they had there were well marked, but not particularly wide walking paths like Turkey Mountains'. If you are in the mood to feel like you are exploring nature "off the beaten path" while still being on a trail, this is a great place to do it! I will be going again!
