Best dang water park with the most incredible management and lifeguard team. Truly something to be valued in this day and age. As we were in the lazy river, right as we came around the corner, a lifeguard jumped in and pulled out what appeared to be a dead 2 year old baby. It turned out to be a dummy and it was just a drill, but I had no idea and it sent me into the depths of my PTSD. The way that dummy flopped around in her arms was painfully and terrifyingly familiar. I think I let out a scream or said NOOOOOOOOOOOO... A very nice gentleman that had witnessed the same thing earlier in the day yelled, "It's just a dummy. It was a test." To say I was traumatized is an understatement, but I have to tell you how sincerely impressed I was with their genuine care and concern. I immediately went up to the coordinator shaking and said that my son had drowned and we nearly lost him and that seeing that was hard. I didn't complain because I appreciate they are training for real life situations. I just had to say... something. The young lady was so kind and concerned. (She shared with me there was a sign I must have missed at the front that said they were performing drills.) A little bit later, the manager and his team found me in the park, so they could apologize. Just wow! He offered the most sincere words and begged if he could do anything to make me feel better. Of course I kindly declined but was so incredibly grateful for his and her kindness. I was overwhelmed by their authentic concern for me. Truly heart warming. I was such a mess, I didn't even get their names, so THANK YOU, kind strangers. We will be back every chance we can.

We received Summer Reading tickets from our library, so we decided we might as well try out NRH2O!…read moreThe check-in process is super easy and there are signs directing you where to go. They check your bags/cooler and scan your tickets, then let you go about your day. My friend and I split the cost of a shaded Splash Picnic spot just to make sure our older kiddos had a landing base to re-up on snacks and drinks. Our name was printed on the reserved spot making it officially ours! It is SUPER cool they allowed our own cooler with ice packs, although it would've been a tiny bit more amazing to sip on a girlie marg. I sent my friend on a scavenger hunt to see if they sell any type of alcohol of any kind and turned up empty, just as a heads up to others who may wonder too. While I mostly stayed in the toddler swimming hole and kiddie water slides, and shuffled over to try out the wave pool, my oldest told me about the Lazy River on the other side. She also told me about her "losing her soul" on the dropout slide ha! She had fun, but it took her breath away for sure. Bathrooms are air conditioned. Parking was ample, shade was more plentiful than Hawaiian Falls, and you can reserve seats online if you don't want to risk not having a spot. Overall, a fun family-friendly space to have a good time outdoors!

They added the big shoot-off slides, similar to the one at Waco surf, at $10 pp for unlimited slides, u pay inside the property. These slides open at 11:30-2pm only, so plan your visit strategically. They make frequent announcements on safety issues. Life guards here take their job very seriously, they will enforce safety regulations, which I like. Plenty of tables & chairs under shadowing trees. There are grills available around sitting areas as well. You can also bring extra chairs & canopies. Parking is regulated by circulating security guards, which keeps the cars well organized. Son & hubby loves the new big slides. They moved things along very well & made sure coordinated timing of riders at a time. We did miss the giant black floaties that they rented out for $2-3 per hour, $5 for 2 hours, which they didn't have anymore. It can get pricey for a big group/family at $20 pp, but it's worth the diving boards & trapeze for a summer treat!

So first of all, I love that there were no kids running around and it was a grown and sexy vibe, they had a DJ and they had different areas that were selling drinks and food I believe. So when I have seen commercials, I will admit that I thought that the lazy river was bigger and I thought there were more rides. The night I went, not all the rides were opened, I don't know if that's because it was a grown party or if they didn't have enough lifeguards. Regardless though, I had a great time, I hang out with my friends for about 2 hours. There was one point, where there was a big group between the wave runner and the lazy river that were having a dance party and doing line dances. I was able to get discounted tickets because we bought them early, so if I have the opportunity to do it again, I definitely would.

I don't think regular pricing reflects the experience, so we wait for deals and go in the off season, spring break in the summer is crazy packed unless you go right at open in a weekday, and even then lines get long before noon. I would never go on a weekend. It is also incredibly humid so bring tons of water, more than you would think. The rises are great, the staff is well trained and super sweet, and the side activities or entertainment they get occasionally is always a great addition. The crowding really does take away from the experience though.

Additionally, my family brought a small soft cooler with food and drinks, which they do check for glass so be prepared to open every bag up to show them! My group reserved the cabanas in the back, and our servers were amazing! Of course we had to take the frozen strawberry margaritas for a spin. The food all smelled great too. Parking was plentifully, just don't park on the grass! Apparently that is a problem, so there was a police out there enforcing it. A fun and relaxing day was had by all family members!

We have been here in past years. On arrival we learned they have added a fee for parking - $10!!!…read more No signs, nothing on the website, we just walked up and were told we need to pay. There have been some improvements - overall water remains murky and filled with leaves. Staff everywhere are young people with very little training and no customer service skills. Can't bring in anything - not even water unless you pay a cooler fee of $30. Water and ice are free - no food or drinks available until 12:30 - one size pizza for $38.50 plus tax - nachos are broken chips and plastic cheese for $6.50. Entry fees, parking, food for four cost over $200. Absolutely absurd. Could not be more disappointed and feeling fleeced. Additionally, there are safety hazards all over the the park - bolts sticking out of the ground around poles holding shade tarps, trip hazards, and at the base of the coyote and wrangler slides there is an aluminum pipe sticking out of the ground approximately 6" - now cover, no warnings, no red paint, no caution tape. Just sitting there waiting to trip up someone.

My siblings had so much fun here and they were entertained for hours! we went on a Tuesday and it was super cheap! I want to say it was $8 for us since we aren't a Grapevine residents but if you are then it's cheaper! We did get snacks from here too and they're not expensive at all and give pretty good portions. There's also a really cool park right next door to this place. Fully recommend taking the kids here.
