I was bringing in over $50k and wanted to take it to a small time bank because I know that much money would help them more than a big national bank. They actually told me they were too understaffed to help me and flat out wouldn't. There was one other customer in this branch, they're acting like it takes hours to open an account. I was cracking up. They recommended I go to another branch. So, as I type this, I'm unfortunately sitting in a Citi branch waiting to open an account. It's frustrating for sure, but I can't believe a bank would flat out refuse a $50k deposit like that. That was one of the craziest things I'd ever experienced. Definitely avoid this lazy bank. They don't want your money!

There isn't much parking around the entrance of the bank but the few times I've come here getting a parking spot is no problem. It is never busy when I have come. Inside is pretty spacious and so clean. The times I've gone, I've never seen a staff member at the front desk but regardless the staff in their offices have always greeted me and wished me a good day. I love the booths where we can make a payment with the staff member who pops up on the screen. And if you want privacy i think there is a sliding door. Its always been in and out for me.

He said if I ever needed anything to feel free to speak with him! Great! I am selling my home and had just received my finalized Revocable Trust from my attorney. I was told by my escrow officer I needed to open a trust account in order for the funds from the sale of my home to be received as my house deed re-recorded to show it was in my trust. I went straight to US Bank from my escrow company and was told their legal department would need to review my trust before an account could be opened. A teller and her supervisor told me I had to provide a copy of my trust. I could email it....I was unable to do so. I sent a complete copy with a friend to drop off in the branch for me. She was turned away because she was told it had to be the originals!!! But if I could email, how would they know if it were a copy or original?? Made no sense!!! I took down my original and was told it was not true they needed the originals! They didn't know what they were doing or talking about! I was told I'd receive a call from the branch within 2 days with an appointment to open my account. That did NOT happen! I tried and tried to call the branch, called the 800 number over and over and over for 3 days. The branch never answered. The main office COULD NOT GET THRU FOR ME. I finally had to settle with making an appointment TO TALK TO SOMEONE about what was going on with opening my account! So 8 days after dropping off my original documents for them to copy and receiving NO CONTACT IN 2 days.... I went to my appointment. I was 12 minutes late unexpectedly. I walked into the branch. To the right were 3 tellers, not busy. To my left one woman was at a desk by the Managers desk on the phone. I stood in the middle of the office for 9 MINUTES WITHOUT anyone ACKNOWLEDGING I WAS THERE! Unreal!!! When that woman got off the phone, I said I had an appointment and she asked if my name was.... YES......and then she proceeded to berate me because I was late!!! She said it would take a full hour to open my account and she only had one hour for me! I told her she wasted 9 mins of my time on her personal phone call! It was crazy! I had to get that account opened so I had to deal with her. Otherwise I would have said screw you and walked out. She made no eye contact, was rude as hell, and treated me like nobody. MAYRA. I asked her if Richard Moen the manager was there? She said yes, WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO INTERRUPT HIS LUNCH?!?! I said no, of course not. I just asked a question! So I left and after getting home I got a survey from the bank! I filled it out in detail! I received a call regarding my AWFUL experience from Nathan at the US Bank main office. He was shocked! He was soooo sorry. He was going to contact the Manager Richard Moen right away to let him know and have him handle her baddddd out of line service I experienced! It's NOT acceptable in any way I was told by Nathan. I felt better.....then I had to drop into the branch 5 days later. I saw Richard Moen the bank manager about some questions and sat at his desk. After I got my answers, I said, it was awful and a nightmare dealing with Mayra and pointed to her. He looked puzzled! I said you heard about how I was treated, right? By Nathan in your main office regarding a big complaint?? HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT MY ORDEAL!!!! Nathan who so kindly called about my experience and then LIED ABOUT THE FACT HE WOULD MAKE RESOLVE TO MY AWFUL EXPERIENCE AND NOTIFY THE BANK MANAGER IMMEDIATELY. THE ONE WHO WOULD NEVER ALLOW HIS CUSTOMERS TO BE TREATED AS I WAS! Lies. Lies. Lies. They all do not care. Watch out for that MAYRA! If you want to be told lies and deal with a bank that doesn't care about you as a customer....choose US BANK!!! The Oswell branch is the best!!! At lying and treating customers like dirt and making up procedures to suit them! Steer clear.

Made everything smooth did all the right checks on the trust, checking and money market accounts I was interested in. As most of you know an unfortunate chain of events caused by my family members put my dad almost into foreclosure, drained his bank account and maxed his credit card while he was incapacitated in the hospital in critical condition. They still think they did nothing wrong and can't seem to admit anything even being caught red handed by myself and the police. Not even the police confiscating dad's bank cards from them made them admit anything! But I guess that's normal with people that don't think they should work for a living they have to sponge off of a 75 year old man truly sad... Well fast forward to now I've been nothing but impressed with the service here, fantastic actually!! The money market helps my dad's money from the sale of his house make money a VERY decent amount to help continue to pay for his ongoing dementia care which btw is incredibly expensive! Medicare doesn't cover this! They don't help with his rent in the facility they only cover meds, diapers, nurses visits and bathing by a health aide weekly. So the money market account is essential in helping me pay for his care. Miss Yessenia made this the most stress free seamless process. This is the only location i do business at now. Valley Republic has thus far met our needs and exceeded them. Right off the bat we felt welcomed and treated respectfully. The branch is clean and calm and quiet. At least quiet right now lol. But the employees (tellers too) were professional and not rushed or disrespectful. They really do care for you. I love that the business here is mutual. The online banking options are good as well and they're business banking is good as well.

They are lightyears ahead of the big corporate megabanks on customer service and account flexibility. They may have higher initial starting requirements on accounts but this is not unreasonable on business accounts ($1000 to start, subject to change). They also have some account fees for check imaging and other fees for online wire transfers, but when the service is good, it's worth it. Highly recommended for small and medium-sized business!
