I am currently in the middle of a claim with this company. After uploading a slew of documents (which I find amusing because the insurance company didn't even require that much documentation). Anyway, they kept rejecting the police report I was uploading and there is no reason why. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After 3 attempts, which by the way takes them 2 business days to review each time holding up the whole process, I finally called and was informed that I was uploading the incorrect version.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once I finally got the "correct" version uploaded it took another two day to accept then the claim kind of went into a limbo status as there is nothing updated on the web site other than Open or In review.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finally after weeks of calling for an update, which by they could only say each time "it's with the auditors and we can't give an ETA", I finally see that claim is in SUBMIT status.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I look at what they say they are paying, it doesn't fully cover the balance owed on the loan after the what the insurance already paid. read more

They make you submit OVER 10 documents which take 1-2 business days to get looked at, some took over 5 days. Then they'll reject it as if it wasn't forwarded from an insurance company. Once they reject it and you must resubmit and guess what it throws you back .... to the back of the line. So if you submitted on October 25, 2024 like I did and your account recently was audited Friday November 22, 2024 and a document was rejected from your insurance company, and imagine theres 250 people waiting.....they will throw you back on to the date you upload that document so in other words you must wait another 30+ days until your account is even looked at again which can get rejected again, and then you must wait 2-5 business days for them to recheck your documents just to reopen the case to get sent to an auditor who will constantly do it over and over and over. They said the reason its taking long its due to a natural disaster in Florida... I live on the west coast.... Horrible company. Sadly, most consumers won't learn about this sham of a company until they attempt to file a claim. Like others, I added this when I got my new Lexus (I leased it). I have an RC F which does not have a spare tire. It comes with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s run flats. Getting the added protection seemed like a good idea. Last week I picked up a nail and got a slow leak. I called Lexus Financial to ask about how to go about filing a claim, if this particular event was covered, etc. I was told I could start a claim, go to the dealer, etc., or pay out of pocket and get reimbursed by sending in a receipt for the work. I have clients that have purchased their windsheild replacement coverage only for safe-guard to turn around and authorize only the glass. And I mean only - no mouldings, no adhesive, no clips... and the prices that they do authorize are from some magical system that no one has access to and doesn't even cover the cost. So, as I said to the service rep, 'so what am I supposed to do? Just lay the windsheild on the car and hope the wind doesn't blow it out?' to which she said that the customer has to pay for the rest. So not only does the customer buy this warranty but they also have to pay for the windsheild to be installed and safe? How... how does that even work?! When I asked about the radar aiming so that the vehicle does not have a bunch of lights and needs to be done with every windshield replacement... it was, of course, declined. This company engages in fraud, violations of the Texas Insurance Code and violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act--just to name a few. If you buy extended warranty for your vehicle through these fraudsters, they will refuse to cover your claim. Allegedly, there is a 30-day waiting period for coverage to commence, but their representative informed us (and of course, we recorded this conversation) that they AUTOMATICALLY deny all claims within the first 60 days coverage. Not sure how these fraudsters reconcile this with their 30-day waiting period. The policy was purchased from Advantage BMW. I am sure we are not the only ones who encountered this fraudulent practice. It may be time to file a class action against this unscrupulous insurer. read more

I purchased Safe-Guard GAP Insurance through Banner Chevrolet in Louisiana. Then when I needed to use it they was extremely difficult. For one they requested 10x the amount of documentation that the insurance company requested. Then they will find anything to reject or say they didn't receive. They do this so your stuck making the monthly payment until its paid off. They will give you the run around worse than anybody! I was hit on my motorcycle in February 2020 and the bike was rendered a total loss at the beginning of March. My insurance company paid the value of the bike to the bank but I'm upside down a good amount. In comes GAP! I initiated the claim With safe guard in March, gathering and uploading all of the paperwork they needed from the bank, the insurance company, and the police department. They have been rejecting the forms provided to me by the insurance company for going on 3 months now, having me go back to progressive over and over and over having them redo forms for me and resubmitting forms just to be rejected again. I have been out $186 a month since I started dealing with them and I'm absolutely furious. I have talked with them over the phone and have explained to them why they actually have everything they could need to JUST PAY THE REMAINDER OF THE BILL! AGAIN! The complaint is their customer service and tracking the complaint. Make sure you fully understand your warranty and coverage. For example, windshield replacement - report damage within 24 hours, make sure the crystal fusion is reapplied within 3 days of replacement, and then always get a copy of the form from whoever reapplies. SafeGuard does a crappy job tracking these forms proving reapplication. Because if you didn't get the reapplication - your warranty is voided. I keep all of this myself but I continue to have to resubmit this information over and over. Customer service is polite.. but they're very bad about tracking and getting things taken care of. read more

Do NOT buy it under any circumstances - just take that money and self insure - you'll probably save a ton! First of all, the tire and wheel, paintless dent and windshield coverage (Platinum Plus - ooooo!) appear to be garbage. It appears from other reviews that they will try anything they can to not cover damage. HERE'S HOW TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT SO THEY WILL ACTUALLY GIVE YOU THE MONEY: DON'T bother with the dealership, who may throw your cancellation aside, probably hoping you'll forget all about it. Just email a SIGNED letter with your make, model, VIN, date of sale, & date cancellation requested to cancellationstoyota@sgintl.com. You can even cancel it and get a prorated refund after 30 days (minus the $25 fee). Make sure there's a SIGNATURE in there; that is what they claim is necessary - even though 46 states say it's not, and even though it's not required in the contract. On the day I bought the car, I was told that I could ask for a refund for the warranty within 30 days. The instructions to cancel are even in the contract! I tried to cancel the protection plan on 7/23/19, both with this company and with the dealership. Now that my dealership has actually turned in the contract to them (4 months later), they sent a refund; however they kept a $25 fee for "cancelling outside the 30 day period." My purchase was on 6/24, but because the dealership made up the deal file on 6/22, they are considering the warranty to have been sold on 6/22. Even though I never talked to anyone about ANY warranty plans on 6/22. So I had to pursue the dealership for the remainder. This company pretty much sucks. They will assist you none , zero effort on their part. It's up to you to find exactly what they want then you drop it in their lap. No communication unless you ask them . In one of the live chats the customer representative just answered with I preprint reply of it's my responsibility to give them the information required to process my claim. I bought this when buying a new Subrau , I totaled it. If you send a document that's not the correct one the simply do nothing, you have to figure it out on your own.
