There is lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating. There is a handicap accessible ramp in case stairs are a problem. I went to lunch with my 82 year old mother who has mobility challenges. She preferred to walk up the 3 steps than the long ramp. Inside the restaurant there is a step as well between the multiple rooms. The food is excellent. We had the beef skewers appetizer, the mussels appetizer, and a fantastic salad. We shared it all, and there was plenty! We also tried to blueberry muffin which a friend told us they are known for. The muffin was good, fresh, but there was not something special about it...it was a good blueberry muffin. The service was friendly and efficient. The portion sizes are good. The price is fair, especially for such a gorgeous setting!

The drive there was very nice but at times thought I was headed down a dead end road... the gift was the view from the end of the peninsula where the restaurant sits. Just perfect!! The view was worth the trip alone. Great for small to large groups. We visited in July, it was pretty busy during dinner but didn't see anyone really waiting longer than a few minutes to get a table. We were seated inside next to the panoramic windows. The outdoor patio and seating area was pretty big but was raining the day we visited so we couldn't enjoy it. The bar area also had plenty of seating and the same beautiful view.

The restaurant and the rest rooms are spotless and the restaurant is managed efficiently . For us, it is all about the service. Robin is always welcoming and friendly. We are so lucky to have Pepper's Landing in Brunswick!

Actually, even though it was windy, it was kind of cold inside, so we chose outside. Dawn was our server and she could not have been nicer. She talked us through several of our questions about food on the menu. We ordered the calamari prepared pepper's way. Really good. We then each ordered the stuffed halibut. It was also good, but you had to eat it quickly because it got cold fast. We ordered broccoli as our vegetable side, but the chef gave us stir fried squash and zucchini. Dawn was embarrassed and went back for the broccoli. However I ate all of the mixed vegetables because they were actually quite good. For our last seafood dinner in Maine, we are glad we chose this place. Not fancy but very friendly and warm.

Let's start with the cocktails, because they truly deserve top billing. I always order the seasonal espresso martini, and somehow it just keeps getting better. This time it was tiramisu-inspired, and it was unreal. Rich, balanced, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like the dessert without feeling heavy. Whoever is behind that bar knows exactly what they're doing. The fish and chips? You cannot go wrong. Perfectly crisp batter, flaky fish, and fries that hold their own. It's one of those dishes you order once and then find yourself thinking about days later. That said, everything we've tried over multiple visits has been consistently excellent. It's the kind of menu where you feel safe branching out because you know it's going to deliver. The space itself adds to the whole experience. The architecture is beautiful, with warm wood tones and big windows that bring in natural light and make the river views part of the meal. It manages to feel polished and special without being stuffy. You can dress up a little or come in relaxed and still feel right at home. And the service is always attentive in that effortless way. Our servers have consistently been knowledgeable, present, and genuinely welcoming without hovering. It makes the whole night feel easy.

It was about 11:30 and the place was getting busy. By the time we left there was a short line out the door waiting to be seated and the parking lot was full. We will definitely be back.

We ordered 2 2lb lobsters, onion rings, and fried oysters. The lobster meat came right out of the shell (shout out to some man on the dock who helped us Marylanders with some verbal direction) and were full and flavorful! We are big crab eaters but it takes about 6 or more XL crabs to feel as full as we did with one lobster! The onion rings and oysters were perfectly fried and just as delicious. The oysters came with fries (which explains the ketchup) as well and all were large portions. It was the perfect location too! Not noisy, beautiful scenery, and just all around a great atmosphere.

The waters are the coldest and deepest on the coast making delicious lobsters. They also have local dug clams, corn on the cob all cooked together giving it a delicious flavor. The fried onion rings are very good and large enough to share. The lobster rolls are delicious but the steamed lobsters are the best you can buy. We had 2 twin lobsters (1.25 lbs each) and corn on the cob for $30. You place your order at the Lobster hut (or other seafood and non seafood items at the Love Shack) and find a table on the docks. You can bring your own wine or beer. The water front view is breathtaking. Hands down the best lobster shack anywhere. Don't forget to get some ice cream before you leave. I had Wild Maine Blueberry and it was SO good!! Note... warning !! the only restrooms are 3 porta-John's and not very clean when we were there.

The flavor was exceptional and I savored every bite. For my main I got their gnocchi dish. These were by far the lightest most fluffy gnocchi I have ever experienced. For desert I got a lemon cake that had a drizzle in the sponge to make sure it stayed moist and delicious. I would happily eat anything that comes out of this kitchen. Service: All of their wait staff was exceptional. They were courteous and went the extra mile to make dinner a fine dining experience. The only weak point was their hostess. I had a reservation but still had to wait ~15 minutes for a table after waiting ~5 minutes for the hostess to show up in the first place. Once the hostess was working again she regularly brushed past customers waiting in their overfilled waiting area and glared at people in her way. I understand her frustration but that is not an excuse to glare at customers. Ambiance: The waiting area was cramped but once we were seated the tables were spaced out enough that it didn't feel congested. There were lots of little nooks and crannies so each table had their own little area.

Now, this might seem like a lot, but it's nearly the same price for half as much at most places in Portland right now (literally two small cocktails and one much smaller plate of fries). And the fries were GOOOOOOOOOOD. Perfectly golden on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside - if they had just been twice as thick and fried twice more, they would have been remarkably close to a true British chip! Five things: 1) Despite it seeming big, the interior of Jameson Tavern is pretty small. If you're a party of eight or ten, don't come here expecting to get seated quickly or even together (we watched this happen quite a few times). We were *very lucky* to be able to snag two seats at the bar (which is first-come, first-served and you can stay there as long as you want; great if you're the person at the bar, less great if you're a person wanting to sit at the bar). 2) The outdoor seating area might look open, but likely it's not. Ask the host. 3) The bathrooms here are smaller than the size of airplane bathrooms. 4) The history of this place is super interesting and worth noting: Essentially, it's been a bar since 1801. And it may have been where Maine leaders signed the paperwork to secede from Massachusetts in 1820 (displayed outside the building is a plaque donated by the Daughters of the American Revolution commemorating Jameson Tavern as the "Birthplace of Maine"). 5) The host was so grumpy it was initially off-putting enough that we considered leaving... but the bartender? AMAZING. I'm sorry I didn't get her name; she had glasses and a big smile. In the best way possible, she was loud, a little invasive, and a whole lot of friendly. Jackie Daytona vibes. Made everyone sitting there feel like they were somehow part of her extended family.
