The docks are very well protected and don't suffer much from tide and current. Harborwalk is a hidden gem between the waterfront and the rows of restaurants and specialty shops along Front Street downtown.   The Harborwalk offers scenic views of Georgetown Harbor and is accessible behind the Town Clock, or through Francis Marion Park, Constitution Park, or Rainey Park, all along Front Street. It is a perfect location for a stroll along the waterfront or viewing a spectacular sunset. You can also go directly from the boardwalk into many of the restaurants, shops, and art galleries that are adjacent to it. You will probably want to walk around town and enjoy some of the historic homes as well as the intriguing live oak trees.

Parking was a tad confusing but out on the street appeared to be free. I'm sure that eating on the water is nice, but food options are better elsewhere in my experience.

The office folks were so very helpful and knowledgeable. Amenities. Ship store is very nice with a reasonable assortment of food and supplies. A male and female bathroom and shower. Hot water that doesn't run out. Clean and well maintained. We stayed two nights to avoid a blow. We had food delivered from a local Italian/Greek restaurant. Chicken Parm and a Seafood Alfredo. Truly the best 'take out' ever not to be missed! Floating docks are well maintained. The whole place is well kept. $1.50 a load with good clean washers and driers. This was my first experience on the Gulf Stream and his second in over 5yrs. We owe our entire experience to the professionalism, dedication, and fun had with the "Party time" boat: Captain Parker and Lucas. They truly made our day above and beyond from their commitment to our experience and wanting to make it memorable! We couldn't be more thankful to have been paired with these guys! Georgetown Landing Marina is a great stop just off of the ICW. What the marina lacks, the town…read moremakes up for...making it a worthwhile stop! The transient dock is old and gets rocked significantly by every passing boat. Georgetown is a short walk through some beautiful old neighborhoods. We really enjoyed dining and shopping, as well as looking at all of the historical buildings in the area. Overall, we would return to GLM but probably try to avoid weekends as there was probably more traffic passing by and waking us regularly. The transient dock is also very exposed and would be extremely uncomfortable in bad weather (although we did not experience this first hand.)
