I've been fortunate to visit Crazy Sisters Marina over 8 times in my young-adult life. My dad and I make it a point to go out on 6-12hrs worth of fishing every time we visit Myrtle Beach. This was my first experience on the Gulf Stream and his second in over 5yrs. We owe our entire experience to the professionalism, dedication, and fun had with the "Party time" boat: Captain Parker and Lucas. They truly made our day above and beyond from their commitment to our experience and wanting to make it memorable! We couldn't be more thankful to have been paired with these guys! We will certainly be back to party again as their expertise led to us catching an Atlantic Sailfish and a beautiful Blue Marlin that was every minute worthy of an hour+ fight. This was our first voyage out with the crew of the Crazy Sister. We arrived at the dock around 7am , and we're the first ones there. At that point , the sun was just coming up over the horizon and was beautiful , bouncing off the water. I could see that the crew was working feverishly to make sure everything was prepared for the half day sea bass cruise , we were about to take. After retrieving our tickets from the upstairs gift shop, my son and I anxiously awaited the loading of the vessel. Once on the ship , we chose our location at the stern. I can see that the rods were already waiting and rigged up for the days festivities. It was delightful that the crew welcomed us on the vessel with smiles and a hearty welcome aboard! We were there told to just sit back and relax while they handled unsecuring lines as well as making sure all the passengers were accommodated. We then quickly went out of the harbor waving at everyone we passed. Once we left the harbor it was an hour long trip around fifteen to twenty miles into the blue horizon. When we arrived at our location, we were provided squid for bait. I brought some medium shrimp as well so as to provide a variety for the daily catch. Several seabass and blues were caught, with the seabasa being measured per the law. Most were found to be undersized so they were returned to grow for a future trip. When we started fishing we were offered entry into a raffle for a free future trip ($2) so I handed the mate my money and awaited the fate. Throughout the time , we would catch fish and several of the mates would be awesome and remove the fish from the hook as well as helping to untangle lines. At the end of the day , my son got the biggest fish so we were so excited for him. We tipped the crew and watched one of them even clean our fish for us. It was a great trip , and we look so forward to coming back. The crew did an amazing job making this memorable moment awesome for this dad and his son. We also enjoyed talking to crew member Lucas while the boat was being docked. read more

I live locally and I would definitely recommend this. It was really cool and relaxing. We took the eco tour. Kaitlin the guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about the marsh and inlet. I learned a lot about it! I go to the spot where we hunted for shells a lot and it was really cool seeing it from the water/boat. Captain Ron was very fun too! This would be a great little trip for kids to go on too! Very fun and educational. There was lots of sea life from the marsh to see and hold will on the boat! We did the 4 hour deep sea fishing charter on 3/31/26. The boat was excessively crowded. You had roughly two feet to stand and fish. We were stopped and fishing for a total of about an hour. The rest of the time was spent just standing and waiting. There was not enough seats for even half of the patrons. For the money I would definitely not do it again. They allowed smoking even though it was very crowded. This is unacceptable on a "family friendly" fishing excursion per their add. Unfortunately for us we had a rude smoker by us that felt it was necessary to smoking continuously. We caught a few undersized fish which was fun for the kids. read more

First impressions- parking is ample and validated...you just need a keyword from them. Office is located in the same building as Wicked Tuna (to the right and up the stairs). With bad weather coming in a few days, they took it upon themselves to reschedule our tour so we could get it in...great customer service. The tour was with Blue wave tours and they were awesome! I went out on this fleet a few years ago and had a great time. On 08/11 I booked an 11 hour trip on the Crazy Sister for 08/22. I also booked a trip with the Hurricane Fleet to go out on 08/21. This was going to be a (3) day trip for just fishing. So I booked my hotel. A few days after the bookings Hurricane Erin Developed . However, I was outside of my cancellation window and had to wait for the charters to cancel. Hurricane Fleet cancelled (5) days later which allowed me to cancel my hotel reservation if I needed to. I stayed in contact with Crazy Sister who stated they were still going out on 08/22. Even though the weather report still showed inclement weather. I kept in contact with them until I left from Atlanta. On 08/22 I drove 20 miles from my hotel to check-in and was advised the trip had been cancelled. You see instead of cancelling the trip like Hurricane Fleet and notifying everyone via phone and/or email, they kept the reservations open to the last minute. The reason for this is if the customer cancelled or did not show, it would be on the customer and no refund is given. However, if they cancelled then a full refund is given. Really jacked up. If they would have cancelled in a timely manner, I could have rescheduled and saved myself time off from work, hotel fees and gas. So, if you see inclement weather in the forecast anywhere near a date you want to go out with Crazy Sister... Don't! Crazy right? read more

Took the morning eco tour and absolutely loved it. The guide didn't seem quite as happy to be there, but she was still very nice and the captain was jovial. (Kinda like your grandpa if he was smoking a pipe.) We got to touch a crab, an urchin with a starfish, and a jellyfish, and the guide was very patient with us taking pictures. Also, she poured cloudy water into a tank of oysters and we got to time and watch them clean it - more fascinating than it sounds. The captain took us to an inaccessible (except by boat, or maybe during low tide) beach where we got to walk in the water and search for shells. I agree with another reviewer that I wish we had more time on the beach. On the way back, the captain shared the history of the area and told us about Goat Island as we passed by. We had a lot of fun and it was a great start to our day. We both enthusiastically recommend the tour. (I wouldn't recommend eating at Drunken Jack's afterward, however. It is located by a bunch of really cool restaurants, I went through the dead dog restaurant. It has live music and if arrive early enough then you are able to grab a drink or something to bring with you on the boat tour. The boat offers drinks on board such as water, beer, wine, seltzer, etc nothing is over $6. The staff are very nice and accommodating. I originally booked for the sunset ocean tour but the area was experiencing bad weather and we were unable to go to the beach. We went on a sunset cruise that was amazing, only wish we could have seen some wildlife. The directions to the location were great and the check in desk woman was so funny. We got there in plenty of time to use the restroom and grab a drink while enjoying the music at one of the spots along the marshwalk. We boarded with ease and plenty of seats, no bad seat in the house. They offered drinks and a few snacks on board as well. Our captain was very friendly and offered a lot of interesting information. We did the dolphin tour on the last trip of the season after Thanksgiving. We were maybe hoping to see a few dolphins, but we were surrounded for over an hour with groups and groups of dolphins performing for us in the wild. It was absolutely incredible, the Captain and Amy were so efficient and knowledgeable and gave us so much great information. It was the highlight of our vacation for us locals and our out of town family (from Germany, so this was super special). I can't say enough, good things about it. We felt really blessed by such a prolific amount of dolphins to see. The rest of Murrells Inlet, is so beautiful to be behold from the water as well. Highly recommend, if you can't tell! I had no Experience!First I'll start by saying that I have been going out on head boats in Murrells Inlet going back to the early eighties with Captain Dicks,and up until yesterday I would have given them five stars.That said.I booked an all day trip to the Gulf Stream months ago,also booked a motel room for two nights because I live 6 hours away from Murrells Inlet.They require 48 hours notice if you need to cancel.I left my home at 9:00 Wednesday morning so I could get there and check into my room to fish Friday October 23.At 11.00 that morning I got an email from crazy sister reminding me of my upcoming trip,four hours later I was 30 minutes from Murrells Inlet and they called me to let me know they decided to cancel my trip due to not heavy seas or bad weather but because THEY failed to sell enough tickets for the trip.They gave me a gift card for $12 less than I spent on the trip I guess to try to smooth things over,their lack of communication not only canceled the trip it also cost me a days drive and the cost of the two days For the room I had booked for this trip as I didn't have enough notice from them to cancel my motel room.They book trips for several local captains,The right thing to do would have been to send me out on another boat,oh Did I mention that the gift card they gave me is only good to use with them,how convenient is that?Not happy with these folks at all! read more

We had not been fishing for a while, so we picked Crazy Sister because it was close to our hotel in Garden City. Everyone was very nice, and we did tip well for that... But the HUGE LET DOWN is that the fish hooks were dull. Wish I had brought my own hooks or a sharpener...but we were ALREADY PAYING FOR THAT... Oh, the fish were definitely biting, but the hooks were so ridiculously dull that I tried to stab my finger, and it was impossible. Really folks with what you charge and the tips we provided... SHARPEN THE DANG HOOKS. I ocean fish and ALWAYS catch. Definitely will drive back to Little River next time. Highly dissatisfied when it could have been a wonderful catching day if the equipment had been kept up appropriately. Fix the problem. read more

I booked a 11 hr gulf stream fishing trip for 3 people for a Thursday since this is the only time I could go. Well they called me on a Thursday night around 8 pm telling me the trip was cancelled so I reserved the following Thursday to go fishing, they cancelled that trip, the reason? They said they didn't have enough people. I requested my money back so in reading their rules, they said it could take up to 30 days. When I booked the trip it never once said if we don't have enough people we are going to cancel your trip. This is a very bad business practice and if you ask me these people are greedy so I would never recommend these people to anyone unless you like to get the run around and if you cancel you could be out of your money for 30 days. read more

Tremendous customer service and our captain and first mate were the best! We did a 4 hour expedition on the Silver Tuna. We caught about 20 fish in the first hour! One of our boat's engines went out and we had to head back a bit early. The crew was great with communication and the company took care of us. Booked the dolphin tour for four people. To start, our tour started late with no explanation. We left 15 minutes past our booked time. And Unfortunately our tour didn't see any dolphins, which I understand is out of their hands. However many reviews complimented the guides and how interactive they were. We did not get that experience which was truthfully more disappointing than not seeing dolphins. The guides did not talk to us at all. There was no interaction with the passengers from anyone working on the boat. At the minimum I would hope they would educate us about dolphins, local wildlife, the history, something at all. It was weird to just be sitting there waiting for something to happen and get nothing. Would not recommend at all. read more

Mark and Amy on the boat were incredible!!! They were super friendly to all of us on the boat. Mark told us all sorts of facts and stories about the dolphins and the land around us. Their passion around protecting the dolphins and conserving the environment is very apparent! We saw lots of dolphins and the boat ride was absolutely lovely. The only reason I can't give this five stars is because the people working the front desk were incredible rude!! They dramatically rolled their eyes and make rude comments to the customer in front of me. They were rude and sarcastic to me. Horrible customer service. Cancelled my boat rental within 5 minutes of booking because this location is nowhere near north Myrtle beach and the owner Megan said no worries I got you I will cancel that. Then does the opposite and charges me 2 days later as a No show. Called back, and all they do is lie. I have my call log showing we spoke several times, I confirmed we won't be charged corecct? And again "yes no worries I got you." The point is I would have came to the hour drive boat rental the next day had she said it's non-refundable. Why would I waste $500 ??? You can't trust the managers over the phone word anymore! Horrible way to run a business on deceit and lies, don't give them your business. Disputed the charges with my credit company! Crazy Sister Marina takes advantage of their patrons by letting a third party sell the tickets while Crazy sister takes most of the money, letting the ticket sales company advertise a promised guarantee that is not explained except in an obscure location. We didn't see any dolphins, and we had too turn back because of rough water and we got offered 10% back or free return tickets withing 7 days, but we live 3.5 hours away! read more

My family booked a dolphin tour from Crazy Sister Marina and was super excited to see dolphins. On our tour we had to go to a whole different area to get our tickets printed and checked in just so they could advertise for the Wyndham hotel company. They asked us to go watch a presentation of Wyndham for $100 back and free dinner. While that was a good deal we couldn't go watch it because we had other plans anyway so it was just a waste of time. The trip itself was mostly fine and quick except for a few minutes where there were high strong waves. On the website they say there is guaranteed dolphins and at the start a guide said you can see foxes and turtles on the banks as well. But 30 minutes in, it wasn't looking promising because we hadn't seen a single one. By the end we didn't even see a dolphin and were quite disappointed. I gave this 2 stars because all of the crew was kind, funny, and entertaining. The view was pretty though not worth $175 but still pretty enough to make for some nice photos. In conclusion, this tour was a waste of time and money, was rough at times, a total lie, had a decent view, and terrible pricing. read more

NOTE: We rented a Pontoon for a half-day. The employees here are fantastic, and the location is pretty darn nice for nature and sightseeing too! However, the pontoon we booked was definitely on the grungy side. We likely wouldn't rent a pontoon from here again, but we'd probably give one of their other options a try. PROS: -Staff was really friendly. The staff seemed pretty knowledgeable about boats and what they're doing. They were able to talk me through using the boat after a quick refresher course, and they were able to talk me through helping them park the boat too. Some added information would have been nice, but there were a couple stickers inside the boat on the dashboard that helped with figuring out "rules of the sea". -Location is nice. Since the Murrell's Inlet is a small marsh area, there is tons of animal life around. You'll see tons of birds, and we saw a couple dolphins during our morning journey. It seemed easiest to catch peeks of the wildlife at low tide first thing in the morning when we came in, but there was still a lot of birds and animals out towards noon as well. -Crazy Sister's area has a bathroom (pretty clean!) in it in addition to having a small shop full of merchandise. CONS: -The pontoon we rented was on the extremely grungy side. The seats were caked in black dirt, the on-board stereo system didn't seem to work, and one of the chairs was just broken. In addition, the steering was extremely loose - requiring multiple turns just to get the smallest inch of curve. All of the gauges were almost entirely unreadable. The Pontoon's poor shape was really the main complaint of our experience. It's possible they were booked solid and gave us their last possible pontoon when we came in, but I have no idea. This one needs a serious scrubdown and lots of love before it's ready for sightseeing tourists. -This isn't something the business can really "help", but there's not a whole lot of move-around space to play with the pontoon either. You'll make it down the river and be stuck in a (relatively small) triangular area to boat in circles since you can't make it into the ocean. This isn't the end of the world, but if your plan was to "go fast!", you might not enjoy the spot where this marina is located. This spot is definitely more of a "set the boat down and enjoy being on a boat" type. read more

I took my son out fishing on a their head boat for a 9 am to 5 PM offsfore fishing this week. The ride was comfortable, service was great. Had fun time fishing on the reefs, we got decent catch of sea bass and vermillion red snapper.,The mates were helpful wherever we has a real or tangle problem.
