I have no gripes with the movers themselves. The lower rating is due to a few things. Biggest issue - During the packing portion of the move, their crews used a strong, elastic, workout type band to tie back the front gate. That would have been fine other than the fact that the band they used and how they placed it on the fence/gate pulled the gate beyond the limits of the hinge and broke the frame of the gate. Things happen. I wasn't too worried about it until Moxie told me it wasn't their responsibility to fix because it was an old gate that had been repaired previously. They said "This is part of having old fixtures at your house and we are not liable for such issues." So buyer beware. If you have an older home or belongings, they are not responsible for any damage, even if they are the ones that bend it until it breaks. If you want broken stuff and a lecture these are apparently your guys. These next two I was overlooking until the gate incident happened, but since I'm already here... The booking process is confusing. You call in to speak with a rep and then you need to fill out the paperwork yourself on their website. That wasn't mentioned as a next step on the call so I spent several days waiting for follow up from them. It wasn't until I followed up that I was made aware of this process. Finally, the crew mentioned that there were a few items left at the old house, but that it wasn't much. I said that was fine without seeing what was left since it was the end of the day - my mistake. There was quite a bit left, like multiple trips over several days to get everything out which was frustrating to deal with given our personal circumstances. So that's it. If you have a new house and all new stuff you're probably fine. Not sure what their definition of old is though, so proceed with caution. All in all, poor customer service with a side of condescension...chef's kiss.

I was a bit wary considering the low cost, but they did an incredible job and maintained wonderful communication throughout the planning and moving process. I was given a window of 8am-8:30am for the movers' arrival, and Corey, Tamarius, and Drew arrived right before 8:30am. They did an excellent job taking apart and wrapping my furniture and got everything securely into their truck within about two hours. The unloading was extremely fast and Tamarius kindly put together the furniture they took apart for transport (and even moved some heavy packages that were waiting for me upon my arrival to the new house). I noticed a few small nicks on my guest bed frame and on one of the legs of my kitchen table, but nothing extreme (and nothing a wood marker couldn't take care of). The vast majority of my furniture (including my beloved bookcases) made it in excellent condition. TLDR; I couldn't recommend GS Moving Solutions enough! They were easy to work with and did a wonderful job moving me across state lines.

Do not trust these reviews. From the start, the crew was clearly unprepared, untrained, and poorly equipped. One mover was injured within the first 10 minutes, and there was no first aid kit available. He didn't even have work gloves and I had to give him a pair of mine just so he could continue working. Which I had to let him keep given the was bleeding inside of them. A major issue was the amount of time wasted. Nearly 3 hours were spent wrapping every single item imaginable, including inexpensive things that didn't need that level of care. None of this was communicated ahead of time, and at $180/hour, it dramatically inflated the final cost. Meanwhile, crew members were scrolling on their phones, vaping, and sitting around listening to music in my empty bedroom. Crew members also used my restroom in both of my houses and left a mess behind each time that I had to clean. Even worse, many of my items arrived scratched, chipped, or dented. There was visible damage to my home on walls, railings, and fixtures. The crew handled furniture carelessly, often moving heavy items by themselves without any teamwork and hitting everything along the way. They also began unwrapping by belongings before even unloading them off the truck. This made the wrapping I just paid $180 an hour for feel like a total waste of time because now my belongings and my new house are taking the full force of their carelessness. I emailed Cavalier the next day and expressed so if this to them. The claims team called and told me they would send forms for damages and service feedback. It has now been over a week, and I've received nothing. The only follow-up I've gotten is a marketing text message asking me to refer them to friends and family, which honestly feels insulting and completely inappropriate given the situation. Overall, I paid far more than estimated for poor service and damaged property. This experience did not reflect the level of professionalism the company advertises. I blame Cavalier for charging clients prices that make you expect seasoned professionals and instead they send you kids that they have not bothered to train one bit. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this experience. DO NOT USE THEM.
