I don't think I'm slow, but I thoroughly went through the whole program and it took me 5 hours. Service - 4 Sent me confirmation email soon after I completed the course stating my certification was being sent. Just wish there was a notification from the DMV. The website doesn't offer you the ability to copy/paste text, so be ready to take screen grabs or use that memory of yours. Each time saying it was "in the mail" - really!?! but I NEVER received anything and eventually had to pay for overnight shipping to make the court date. And this is when I had completed the course more that two weeks before the papers were due. I am filing a complaint with the Texas education agency, The Texas department of public safety and letting my legislators know. I want them off the approved list for Texas drivers! read more

So I got a red light camera ticket in Culver City. Boo! And opted to do traffic school online. This site was really terrific. Easy to navigate, not too $$, and lots of different slide shows, videos, games, and quizzes to break things up. I liked that I could go at my own pace and not have to spend a set amount of time on each lesson. I was also able to break the course up into three different sessions. I started on a Friday night and did the first five lessons, did two more lessons on Saturday, and the last three on Sunday. All in all pretty painless. read more

I honestly really enjoyed this online driving school. This was my first time of doing driving school ever, so I really have nothing to compare it to, but I a) couldn't afford to miss a day of work to go to a traditional classroom setting one and b) procrastinated until the last week of my due date, so I probably wouldn't have gotten into a class in time anyway. The course is set up in 10 sections, most of them about 40 minutes long. Yes, there's a timer, but it's mandated by the law that traffic school takes x amount of time, so you can't really knock it for that. I honestly read the entire thing. They make it interesting with funny pictures, games, and stories. I would usually have about 10 minutes to spare, so I'd facebook and do other things in another tab. Not a big deal to me. The quizzes are easy, but you can re-take them if you don't pass, as you need to pass them to move on to the next section. The final is the same way...free re-takes with no penalty, although I passed the first time. Also, you don't have to pay until you take the final exam, so you can kind of test out the school and get a feel for it. You can break up the lessons over time, too. At any given point, you can log out of your account, and upon logging in again, it takes you right back to where you were, timer at the same spot and everything. I found this to be really cool...I did my schooling at night for about a week, so I didn't rush myself and get super bored. Yeah, some of the material is repetitive, but I learned some things, too. I picked safe2drive because of yelp, and I'm so glad I did...quick(ish), painless, and cheap! They also fax your certificate to the court, included in the price. $16 bucks as opposed to my friend's $65 he payed at a classroom...yikes! Oh, and 4/5 stars because the lady who narrates the audio portion has an annoying voice. Haha. read more

Exactly what I wanted. Fresh, to the point, clever writing, and a good mix of other things besides just driving laws.

The moment I realized that I had to take traffic school, I knew it would probably be incredibly boring. This site did a great job of telling me the absolute basics of what you need to know, usually with a humorous twist. It didn't try to fill in the lines with saying the same thing over and over. Due to the way it breaks down all of the information, it made it extremely easy to pass. It asks you actual test questions as you go through each section (which are just samples), so when it comes to the final exam, you know what you need to know because you've already gone through them. I tend to get awful anxiety when testing, and this didn't even phase me. Don't get me wrong, you HAVE to read the material in order to answer correctly and the site doesn't let you copy and paste into a document, but the information is really easy to remember. I have heard horror stories about other traffic schools, but for my first time, this exceeded my expectations. Even if it is time consuming, but then again, you're taking traffic school and shouldn't be surprised :) read more

This site was really easy to use and cheap. When i took it it cost 15.99. It pretty easy information and common sense stuff. There are 10 lessons which require a minimum amount of time on each page. For example: Lesson 2 will require you to be on the page for 40 mins. I would suggest logging on reading which takes 15 mins and then going to do other busy work. They have humorous pictures as well as helpful picture. I'd say they require a minimum about of 400 mins but you really dont spend all that time on the site. I spent most of my time running errands. At the end of every section you take a review quiz as many times until you pass. At the end you take a 50 quesiton final that you have to score at least 80%. YOU CAN RETAKE THE FINAL UNTIL YOU PASS NO EXTRA CHARGE! :) read more

Easy as pie. This one took about 2 hours to complete. There were 10 sections with 10 slides each and then a 10 question quiz at the end of each question. You can skip through the entire lesson and take the quiz if you want...the questions are common sense and you can retake the quiz as many times as you need to. You have to get an 80% to pass each quiz. I don't know why, but I didn't have a time requirement for each section like the other reviews said. The final exam is 25 questions, super easy. It cost $20 and Mono County required that they send the certificate to me rather than them sending it directly to the court which was sort of annoying, but that was out of my control. read more

This is my first time doing an online traffic school. I searched Google for a long time (way too long :-). Finally ended up trying safe2drive b/c of the reviews here on Yelp. I agree with the reviews! Safe2drive was great. It took me about 2 hours to complete. The site is very well organized, content is of high quality and very user friendly, even had some lighter moments with videos and games and funny photos related to the subject. I had tried a couple of other online traffic schools to get a feel for their content, safe2drive has superior quality, highly focused content for a defensive driver course. And it is easy to use, you only pay after you study the course and take the chapter quizzes, and pay before taking the final exam. Which is a big consumer advantage, because most other sites charge first and then you realize their course is not as good. And there are no hidden costs. $18.95 for the course, quizzes, final exam and a copy of certificate to you as well as an electronic certificate delivered to the court/dmv. read more

They add some games/activities/trivia to help you pass the time if you go through the sections too quickly, since you are required by law to have a minimum amount of instruction. I actually decided to go with this online traffic school based on Yelp. The course wasn't that expensive & all the material was clear & concise. They even had small games like word searches or my favorite: a space invader like game to help kill the time. I'm a quick reader so I always had extra time at the end of each chapter so I spent that doing chores, calling friends and checking facebook :) I do wish the time minimum was abolished as we all do. Traffic school is like detention for drivers. This website makes it as painless as possible. The information appears accurate and useful. You may even learn something! The website is easy to navigate and they have interesting games to help you pass the time. You are required by law to spend 8 hours on this course, but you can keep the window open on your computer and do other things if you get totally bored. This online Traffic school is cheap and no hidding charge, they will FAX your record direct to the court without extra shipping cost. The only down side is it is such a long process ...10 chapter ..10min on the first Ch, 40min each from Ch2 to Ch8, and then 50min each on Ch9 and Ch10, and you need to finish a 10 question quiz on each chapter before they let you move on to the next chapter. I understand the law required 6hr min for each traffic school class, but by the time you finsih the waiting and answer the question it will take about 7-8hr ...not a good idea if you are in rush and try to finsih your class in a last last min. which is me in this case, my traffic school dead line was on 12-3-10 and i sign up the class on 12-1-10, i wasnt expect to be that long process. so i ended up stay up the whole night try to finsh it, or let it finish itself ..although most of the time I was watching movies on the laptop while i was waiting :P and you can't just skip throught the page to the end and wait for the final exam, you need to come back every 40min to take the quiz or they will not let you moveon to the next chapter. However the best thing happen is these guys do actually work in their office (or they have a automatic system setup) after I finish and pass my final exam. they "Fax" my record to the court right away; and then after few hr my case dismissed for that I give them 4 star! if you are not a last min person like me, have a lot of time and willing to re-learn all the traffic lesson. this will be a good website for you, it is cheap, full of information and it WORK! i will sure you will learn something new from the lesson :) read more

Its traffic school. Basic and to the point. BUT what really stood out is their customer service. I finished the online traffic school a month before the deadline and I just left it at that. However my parents kept on bugging me if i finished it and asked for a certificate of some sort. (the email that is given when you finish the course just states that the certificate is going to be sent the next business day, no certificate or anything). So I emailed them on a Friday night, assuming ill probably get a reply email the next business day, but nope. got a reply back within a matter of minutes. Stating that I can check the online courthouse I got my ticket from and that they have already checked for me and the ticket has been dismissed. Alright! So I email them again asking for a certificate so I can show my parents and my insurance company (so I can keep the good driver discount) and again, within a matter of seconds, they send me a certificate. The final exam is very easy! At least 12 out of the 25 final exam questions appear from the short quizzes throughout the 10 sections covered. Most of them are common sense! Skip all the stories, and short videos to save time. Pay close attention to right and left turns, speed driving laws, acronyms IPDE and SMOG, and (3) R's . Parking laws, 3 sec. rule, Intersections, Passing Laws, Distance to dim high beams, Legal CA BAC (Breathalyzer Alcohol Content) Limit is 0.08%, Seat Belts, Parking distance to curb, Road Rage and Attitudes, Stopping at school bus flashing red lights, Driving Point Reductions, Driving Conditions in bad weather and at night, etc. Just make sure you answer all the important questions correctly on the quizzes: they're identified with a red caption below the question, but even if you answer wrong, you'll get a chance to retake until you get right (HINT: the right answer is given to you) It took me 2 hours to go from sections 1-7, and 1 hour from sections 8-10. I actually went through everything, and passed the final exam the first time with a score of 96%. But you only need a 70% to pass. FYI...there may be a couple or few questions that are tricky, but you can always go back to the sections to find the right answer if you get stuck! Hope that helps, and good luck! read more

Very poor service. I finished this course more than 10 days ago and still waiting for certificate. I am not sure whether they have dispatched the certificate or not at all, but they are claiming that they dispatched it. They don't give you proof of dispatch. May be its their way of earning extra money by charging extra money for fedex services to send the certificate. read more

Yeah it's fine and all. Not much different than any of the others I have done. I don't know what test Betsy took but it takes WAY loner than an hour to complete this sucker. The first 3 chapters take over an hour and a half by themselves, and there's 10 chapters total. It's timed like all of them so you can't progress until the timer is up. 4 stars for the course itself. Sorry not sure I can bring myself to rate 5 stars for a mandated online course. For the company and especially the customer service I give them a negative to match their negative attitudes! When you get done you have the choice of First Class delivery for free. Gave it plenty of time. After 7+ days without delivery called their customer service. No problem they would send one out the same day ( called early am ). After another 5 days and still didn't have as promised I called back. Now things were starting to get tight to get to and processed through the court. Still had two weeks but didn't want to miss the NO extension deadline. Speaking with customer service their basic response - maybe the post office lost. Really?? Twice your specific mailing...hmmm what are the odds? Next excuse....Maybe there is a problem with your address - meaning again a post office issue. Really? lived at the same address for 14 years. You really think that is the issue? Basically it came down to it was my problem to deal with. Imagine you order a TV from Best Buy but it doesn't get delivered do they or any other company for that matter say too bad go deal with UPS or USPS! No they don't! I paid for services and those services include delivery. So you can expect when I asked for 2 day delivery ( not even overnight mind you ) to be sure I could get the certificate of completion to the court on time, that was met with disdain. No worries on their part they got my money. Finally get the certificate the next day! 6 days later ( first class does not take that long ) and what do I see? A post mark that is 3 days after they promised they mailed the certificate!! BTW first class mailing is three days from their mailing address so timing all added up to their failure. But here is what really frustrated me the most. The "official" certificate was nothing more than a simple print out on basic copy paper. I made a copy and if I put side by side you would be hard pressed to determine which one was original. No embossing, seal or ink signature on their end just a plain all copy. So tell me Safe2Drive why couldn't you have just sent me the PDF!!! Thanks for NOTHING but frustration. For all that have read this far forget any favorable reviews. Had I gotten my certificate as expected the first time I would have given mucho stars too but here's the thing ....when something goes wrong are you going to get the support you need? Just saying not everyone plans to complete things almost a month ahead of time. Good thing I did or I would be paying more good money to an attorney to plead the courts to save a big fine, points and an insurance hike. I highly encourage you to try a different company. There are too many to take chances. Buyer beware. Safe2drive maybe you thought I was kidding about posting all over social media my experience but I wasn't. I give this online driving school 5 stars; A few years ago I took another online course that was dull and required you to stay on each lengthy chapter for at least an hour before proceeding on. This one was so much better! I know my driver's knowledge is pretty good so i skipped all the reading and just took the quizzes at the end of each chapter. I learned from those quizzes, and the final exam took only about 15 minutes (because I was extremely careful and googled the answers for a few of the questions) and got 100%. from beginning to end I spent only 1 hour powering through this!!! very happy this company didn't waste my time. read more

Okay, didn't expect to see reviews on an online traffic school course. But much to my delight I did and thankful for that! How else would I have found this hidden gem? When the courts sent me a full page (3 columns) of traffic school options I was just overwhelmed. Which one do I choose? Again, thanks to the reviewers of this great online traffic school I chose safe2drive.com! Okay I have to say that it took me longer than 2 hours to complete but well worth it. Yes I actually read pretty much everything in there. Doesn't hurt to brush up on driving laws, right? Anyway, I got a 100% so it was well worth it. This program does a great job incorporating videos, games, trivia, comic strips, funny pictures, etc. all to keep it interesting. I really enjoyed it. I can't say I even tried any of the other traffic schools but I was really pleased with this one. They are very thorough in their registration process so that, alone, impressed me.
