He instilled fear in me so that I wouldn't hesitate to accept the $650 estimate. I decided to have another pest control take a look to see (during the daytime) to see if in fact there were bats in the chimney living and to my surprise there weren't any....NONE!! I was in disbelief and felt so deceived and that I cancelled everything with this company. This guy was about to scam me! The company is trying to say that I cancelled because I didn't have the money to pay for the service which I find hilarious because I would had never accepted the ridiculous estimate in the first place if I didn't have the money to pay for it. Zero pest removal was done. I had to file a fraud report with Thumbtack since that's where I originally hired this company -- they are in the process of banning them from operating there. You see, this does not come down to a "they said, she said" case. I had home cameras operating throughout the entire 10-minute "visit" before the technician took off without a word. Before doing so, he trashed my living room, scratched my walls, and pulled off paint by carelessly throwing sticky pads all over. I thought this would be a simple extermination job. There was nothing daunting or unclean about my home that could have caused the technician to bolt without saying a word. The business has taken zero accountability. Given that theft and property damage have occurred with ample video evidence, I've decided to file a police report and take legal action. Wish I would have read the reviews from others here first, as I can see that property damage is a pattern with these guys. Update: After posting an honest review of my experience with this business on Thumbtack, the business retaliated by publishing a public reply that threatened to sue me over my review and posted my full name, address, and personal phone number. I had a Viking contract for 2 years, probably spent $2000 and only got many mouse traps and monthly…read moreservice calls. They were good about coming out to collect mice in traps, but they wont actually go into the attic. Won't put poison in the outside bait boxes, just use an enticer to guage activity by how much vermin sharpened their teeth on the bait. Won't fix an opening. Finally, the problem became so severe that a chipmunk tunneled under our paver stoop and it collasped. That would be yet another contract, not covered but mine. I ended up firing Viking and hired another competitor who was expensive but fixed the entry points, made repairs and in 2 months has the issue under control (so far). I lived with scratching and chewing noises in the walls and attic for 2 years; I could have set mouse traps myself!
