Probably the worst company I've done business with. Not only did it take them 3 different times to try and replace my windshield when they finally did replace it they didn't do it properly, looks like complete crap and leaks. When I took it back to them to find out about the leak they claim it passed the water test. However, the water is still leaking and now has leaked into my side airbags and shorted the wires out! So now I have to deal with the dealership to fix my airbags and deal with safelight again to make them replace it. My husband tried to get his windshield replaced and they turned him down! made my initial appointment for getting my truck fixed, came in, sat for 30 min before I was told that they could not do my service because I had to provide my own plastic molding, so i reschedulEd my appointment for the following week came in they got my truck fixed and it was taken care of, ended up getting over charged, treated horribl, and the lady that called the following day was absolutely rude, after I paid the first payment, and they told me I had to dump out more money the 2 appointment as well! They installed the wrong windshield, didn't put all the parts back correctly, didn't set the safety functions back up correctly. Took the dealer over a week to figure out what all wrong they did. Tried and tried and tried to get a human being on the phone, never worked. Sent e-mail, no responses. I've never heard back from them at all. Wish I could give 0 stars. I contacted the office that came out but to no avail. The scratches the guy put on our vehicle he said we rock chips but they are under the lip of the roof. The truck had just been painted and I told safelite I had all the paperwork for it so there were no scratches. I'm very disappointed in how it went. Then the guys at the store took pictures and was very rude and ignorant when he was speaking to me when all he needed to do was take pictures in order to show his boss. I'm filing a claim with my insurance now so the deep scratches was lead to rust because it's down to metal. Manager never called as he said he would. Worst experience ever...4 trips to get my windshield replaced! I am unfortunately still driving my truck with the air coming in all around the windshield, feeling it and hearing it! Not a good thing for the air conditioning, can't wait to see how the defroster/heater is going to be! Just a real shame that we as consumers have to constantly deal and suck up the shortcomings of "professionals ", and I use the term loosely! Reported the issues to my insurance company and of course they are still referring Safelite to their customers! Driving with constant fog/moisture on the inside of the windshield with any temperature change or rain, but that seems to only be a concern to me?.. Stay away, go anywhere else!! read more

Avoid the Arlington Rd location if possible. Twice windshield not appropriately finished. The first time, the wait over 3 hours, and shattered glass all over the dashboard. The second time, lower windshield gasket cut and damaged and windshield in crooked. Avoid, avoid, avoid. read more

Worst of the worst of the worst!!! Ordered and scheduled replacement windshield for 2021 qx80. Went to the spot to have windshield replaced. Took mine out out new one in and broke the new one during the install. Technician. Amen I. Said sorry about this we have to put your old one back in and order a new one. Putting the old one back in caused additional cracking across and up and do n both sides of the windshield. More than a week later I have heard nothing. Called and left a message for someone to call me which they totally ignored. I showed up because you can't get through. Their ridiculous ohine system only to find the windshield had t even been ordered. The girls at the counter and the manager both said they have to wait for their corp to give them a credit card to order the window??? What!? I already paid for it why would they need a credit card??? 655$ I paid. I said can't you call your corp to get the credit card and they said NO THEY HAVE procedures TO FILLOw. Took our delivery truck here when the windshield shattered due to this last Winter and cold that we had incurred; along with the heat of the heater, it was just too much on the truck. Replaced the windshield within an hour and I was back on the road. I did deduct a star for a sales pitch issue that I found annoying. I had my boss drop me off when I picked up the truck, a guy quickly ran out of the store and assessed "damage" on my friends car that was not even on the windshield (a small spec that was wiped off by the wipers) he insisted that it was "damage" that would affect the windshield and we'd better get it fixed. BIG ASS CRACK! Right across the middle of my Jeep's windshield. I curse you Mr. Winter! The cold temperatures really have not been good to me or my vehicles. Hubby took the Jeep to Safelite to get the windshield replaced. He made an appointment but since he arrived a tad early, they took him early and got it done super fast. They also didn't charge as much as we first anticipated. It's been a week now and the glass seems to be doing great! This place is highly recommended. Customer service pretends to care about the job done. When Safelite replaced my windshield there was glue all over the outside of my car and the windshield wipers were grossly out of control. The second person they sent out literally said the original technician did a terrible job. However, he fixed the windshield wipers to actually stay on the windshield! When the third technician came he said it was finally the best they could do with the supplies provided. However, he offered to take the windshield out and put in a new one. He said it would look just as bad. Safelite blamed my insurance company for only paying the cheapest route possible. (My insurance denied this claim). Be ware, Safelite asks for your vin number to pretend like they will properly fix your windshield properly. They will only use cheap products and try to blame the customer. read more

AVOID!! I had a small chip on my windshield. Just bought the car last month. Used my car insurance to get the chip fixed before it got worse. The guy shows up to my work and says it'll just take 20 minutes. Asks me to sign and I go back into work. When I left I noticed the tiny chip is now a two inch crack. I called the guy- ignored all my phone calls. I called customer service. Both the shop and the service center had no supervisor or manager on duty. So who oversees them??? I filed a complaint with the BBB. They told me they can't fix the crack because their technicians tell customers the crack can get worse. I was NEVER informed of this. They're now telling me they can't do anything but replace it and it'll cost me $400. I called back in and asked how much a new windshield was for my car. They told me $259.99. I have a topline Acura MDX, lane assist, etc. They told me that my insurance company may only allow an aftermarket glass and tried to convince me that was fine. I learned that my Acura requires the OEM glass due to the lane assist cameras and also would then require calibration. Jerry and Gary at Safelite in Akron were ignorant of these facts and also told a whopper - that the replacement glass is made in the same factory as the OEM glass and is better! Imagine if I had followed their ignorant advice, I'd have to be suing them to get the correct glass once I learned my lane assist was no longer functioning and that would be costly to them and me. Stay away from ignorant people - obviously Safelite isn't very professional as they should know such things since this is their core business. read more

I've worked with this location twice this year. Once for a chip and the second time for a new windshield entirely. My insurance company called Safelite, Safelite called me, and I had an appointment scheduled for the following day. They offered to come to me, but I chose both times to go to their storefront location. Tidy atmosphere with a variety of complimentary beverages, clean restrooms, and public wifi. My technician was Gary. He was helpful and did a tremendous installation for me. It's part of their business model to vacuum out your floor mats real quick before they give back your keys, which is a nice touch. I typically prefer small, local companies when I have the option, but this location manages to provide that atmosphere under the umbrella of a larger corporation. I would definitely go back, but god willing, I won't have to - ha! read more

I would give this location 2 stars due to the scheduling process being easy and the fact they vacuum out the car during the process but other than that my experience here on August 20 was not very good. I noticed on the 19th I had a small chip in the windshield and knew I had a free chip repair through my insurance. I have used this location before with no problems and great service but something has changed. I showed up 8 minutes early for my 10am appointment. I walked in and told one of the receptionists I was here for a repair, she said she would let my technician Kenny know and he would be out shortly. There were no other cars or people there I figured it would only be a short wait. A technician comes out at 10 I thought he was coming to get my keys but no he greets another lady as she walks in and before she can even say hello he asks for her keys and pulls her vehicle in. I waited for 15 more minutes before the receptionist went back and told Kenny I was here. Kenny came out and told me where my chip was could potentially crack all the way up along the side and bottom because it's the weakest point, but reassured me the weather was good so there would be no problems and he would take good care of my car. About 30 minutes later he comes and hands me my keys says everything is done I say thank you and get in my car, and the chip is now worse than before with little stress lines coming off of it, he didn't even bother to mention it happened. I had a bad crack across my windshield, you came out to my work fixed it no issues and did a perfect job!!!

I called them over a week ago for what looked like a golf ball sized chip/crack in the windshield. They came out to my place of residence and said because of the snow (it was snowing), that I will need a windshield and I will need to come in. -FINE I take the vehicle in, and they determine that they ordered the wrong windshield. Reschedule. -FINE I come back for the next appt. and they take the vehicle for a few hours. I leave. I come back to a brand new crack up the passenger side the entire vertical length of the windshield. -NOT FINE I reschedule yet again and they offer to give me free wiper blades (~$30 value) and $50 off the bill. -NOT ACCEPTABLE! They finally charged us $200 for everything. After 3 mistakes and 3 appointments and what I consider to be an insult in discounts. They messed up, A LOT. I should not have been charged at all. I am not thrilled with this big enterprises efficiency. I think I will go somewhere else next time. ... smh. read more

If I could do zero stars I would. By far the worst service I have ever experienced! The time it took was not an issue because I know cold weather and glass replacement doesn't go together but they came to my house 3 times. once with the wrong windshield, another with a broken windshield and then the 3rd time with finally a windshield that they could use and removed all my seals and saw one small little bubble of rust on the roof line of my Jeep and said that the only way they could do my windshield was if I took it to a body shop and had it fixed.. I live in Ohio and there isn't a car on the road that doesn't have a rust bubble or two and the rust spot my Jeep has isn't even where the windshield is glued in. But this tech made it out like my 2006 vehicle was completely destroyed and they in no way he could do the work. Now I'm stuck waiting for another company to order a new windshield and do the work this guy was not willing to do. To me it was just one more excuse from a guy who didn't actually wanna do the work. read more
