Had an appointment at 8am. Got there at 7:55, they immediately took my car to get the windshield replaced. Projected that it would take about 1.5 hrs. Waited in the lobby and they finished in about 1 hr 20 mins. For windshield replacement for 2008 Honda Civic, cost about 400. Overall great service read more

these clown installed a broken windshield into my truck and they're P.O.S. technician ran down my battery during the install... Seth the lame store manager wouldn't make it right by replacing my battery ands after 3 months of trying to get s hold of the GM he got on the phone with an attitude trying to say there's no way the battery went dead and they're not going to replace. These people are trash their service is trash they have no integrity and they treat veterans like $hit... steer clear from here because these people are thieves!!! read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would. The technicians were lacking at best. They had trouble with the window cowling, damaged it in two places and then sent me a post procedure picture to attempt to prove that it was pre-existing. When attempting to work with the customer service department they were short, failed to reply after I started asking questions in a timely manner and blew it off. Do Not.. I was pretty skeptical about getting my car done here through my insurance company because of all the negative reviews bringing this place to like one star, but I brought in my car and they did a good job on. It. Haven't had any problems and they used OEM glass. I had to have a special appointment with my insurance company to get the OEM glass because they don't do that unless your insurance company approves it, but there was no problems with the install of the windshield and it came with a lifetime warranty. read more

Horrible quality material used for their windshields and their lifetime warranty is also a scam! I got replacement and 2 weeks later the safelight windshield had a small crack in it I assume an acorn or something may have fell on it but not sure. Safelight won't warranty the windshield if something may have fell on it. At this point if a small nut or leaf can crack it tells me the product is very poor and I am not safe with it on my car. Getting it replaced by a different company. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS UNSAFE PRODUCT. And takes forever trying to reach a live person. They don't even offer warranty in the phone prompts probably because they never cover warranties on their horrible windshields read more

Filing a claim with insurance was the easy part, everything beyond that 1 star! I contacted a rep online via chat AND spoke to a rep on the phone who both confirmed I could drop my vehicle off the night prior to my appointment. The rep on the phone I could barely understand, I had to ask for him to repeat things multiple times. Apparently it's a known issue with his phone that it sounds muffled and drops calls often he said?! I drove down and arranged an Uber to pick me up at the business location. When I got there, NO drop box! So had to cancel the Uber which I'm out money for. The morning of my appointment I dropped my car off at 8:30am and was told I would be called when it was ready. I also mentioned I received multiple texts and emails about a drop box, the man at the front said "Oh we don't have one". Why would I be told by 2 people, multiple texts and emails that you did?! Come 3:30pm I had not received a call, knowing they close in 1.5 hours I called the corporate number again because they won't give you a number to directly contact the location yourself. The rep said "oh they haven't updated the status of your vehicle, I'd just go down there since they are closing soon." I asked that she call since I have to work and arrange a ride to pick my car up. At 3:40pm she told me she called the location and my car was already being worked on. When I informed her this location doesn't have a drop box she proceeded to argue with me that they did. At 4:20pm I finally get a text message that they just started my car...weird since I was told 40 minutes before that it had already been started. I get to the location at 4:45 and my cars still not done. I sat in the lobby for an additional 15 minutes after closing time before my vehicle was ready. My car was pulled out to the front and I met the tech outside who asked for my credit card, which I had already given to the man inside when I dropped my car off in the morning. I was told the information didn't save. As I was driving away I received a text AND email stating I would be charged double my deductible?! To top it off my new windshield was dirty on the inside AND outside! The two techs I dealt with were very nice and personable,the man inside at the desk was not. Poor customer service, terrible communication and misinformation between their corporate employees and the physical business location. read more

Went there for a windshield replacement through my insurance. It took two trips to get the windshield replaced. First trip, I found broken plastic pieces on my passenger seat and floorboard after the windshield was replaced. The forward facing camera rattled like crazy, so I took the car back and the employee allegedly it was defective aftermarket glass and would need to be replaced with factory glass. After approval from the insurance company, I was scheduled a 6am appointment to have the factory glass installed. I arrived at 5:50 am and nobody was there. Come 6:30 am, still nobody at the shop. Tried calling the 800 number and business hours are 8-5. Worker finally showed up about 6:40 am and said I wasn't on the schedule. After multiple calls to corporate office, they offered me a set of windshield wipers for the inconvenience. Will not and do not recommend this company. read more

All AAA members do not use this place! I have a 2020 rav4 they are the recommended for the glass replacement for your vehicle from AAA. I called was gonna be 20min late to my 8am appointment because of traffic they told me that I would have to reschedule another time. I took the whole day off completely a waste of time and now have to take another day off! If you live in Chico ca go to Perkins auto glass you will not have this issue and they are way more polite fyi I have looked on rav4 forms no one it seems likes satelite said they had all kinds of problems after getting their windshield done by them! read more

Doesn't look like they did anything to the crack and they won't do anything to make it right. One person said they can do something. Called back to schedule a fix and was told they don't do it a second time. Will never use them again. I took photos before and after. The tech never said there was an issue either. Just he was done and left. Their email says "We're not happy unless you're happy. If there is anything else we can do, please call us. Contact (530) 743-2910 during normal business hours and we will be happy to assist you." That's just corporate talk. They don't care. read more

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SAFELITE out of the Chico, CA area! Very poor quality windshield, value, and service. After 2 visits and 2 wasted Saturdays my broken windshield was never replaced. The tech on the first visit did not check the windshield prior to arrival and there was a large noticeable scratch right down the center of the windshield. He actually thought I would allow the install and there was no replacement available. He said he re-scheduled the visit but when calling later on in the afternoon there was no scheduled appointment. Very poor follow through. So I re-scheduled. Upon arrival on the 2nd visit, I explained to the 2 Techs, my disappointment with the 1st visit so please be careful with install, to which I was solicited $75 windshield wipers, to which I declined the purchase. After the decline, the tech working on replacement and the one soliciting the wipers, called me out to say he broke the windshield. There was a huge crack from mid windshield through it. I was extremely upset. There was no replacement available to which he'd need to order and re-schedule the visit. I said absolutely not and that I will work with someone locally before working with Safelite. Once again terrible service and quality. I would not recommend Safelite for windshield repair ever again. I dropped off my car for a full windshield replacement recently. On my end I did not receive any sort of updates through text, email, or call. I had to go near closing time to check in on my car only to be told that they can't service my car because a sensor was damaged. I had previously taken my car to Honda (not even a week prior) and Honda assured me everything was fine. When I got to Safelite, I was told my sensors were damaged. I told the employees that I had paperwork to prove my sensors were working well and they couldn't give me a response. I took my car back to Honda for a full inspection and was told everything was okay and walked me through everything. I won't be returning. read more

We went to get the windshield fixed and it wouldn't calibrate the first time. The second time we went back it didn't calibrate. This time today the windshield they were putting on cracked because someone put it down to hard. We are going to have to wait for them to order another one to get it fixed but we are very worried it isn't going to work... again read more

Worst experience ever! I had a chip in my windshield wich they cracked trying to repair, so they ordered me a non oem windshield wich blocked my windshield sensors. I explained to saflite that it was most likely the tint on the non oem glass but they ordered a second windshield wich did the same thing. Instead if trying to help fugure this out they immediately told me that i had electrical issues and need to have my car worked on before they could recalibrate wich was total bullshit! I ended up bringing it to a different shop wich installed a oem windshield and fixed the sensor problems. I never experienced a company that tried covering their ass at every expense. Do u yourelf a favor and a headache and go somplace else, worst experience ever!!! Terrible customer service!! read more

Safelite damaged my truck installing the windshield. Three dents and a scratch through the paint on one side and a dent on the other side. They took several weeks to get back to me about getting it fixed. Seth the manager at Safelite was terrible. He would tell me that he would call me tomorrow but never would. I would give him a week and call him back. I asked Seth about a rental car. He said rent a car and we will reimburse you for it. I usually rent cars through enterprise, but because it was spring break they were out of cars, so I used Avis. Safelite is now refusing to pay for the rental car. $516.99. The damage happened in January. My truck was fixed on March 22. I'm now filing a small claims suite against them read more
