I took my truck to Safelite at 3815 Buckner St, El Paso, TX 79925 on February 5, 2026 to have my windshield replaced. During the service, they broke my powered seat switch. I spoke directly with the manager, and instead of taking responsibility for the damage caused by their technician, he refused to take accountability. I was then told by Frank that he would inform the manager and that I would receive a call back, but that never happened. It feels like they are avoiding responsibility and hoping the issue just goes away. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them matters. In this case, the lack of accountability and follow-up was very disappointing. Beware of taking your vehicle to this location. I scheduled a time for 0900 and came in early at around 0815 hoping to get my car fixed earlier. They did that. At around 0830 they started working on my car. I went down the street and had breakfast then came back and at 0945 my car was ready to drive. Also, I was on the road and it was cheaper here in EP than Dallas and my hometown in CA! The staff was polite, responsive, upbeat, patient, professional and provided periodic updates in regard to the status on my windshield replacement! Questionable sales tactics. Will use your little knowledge of windshield repairs against you. To try and talk you out of a repair. I was told mine had work done when I never took it in before today. They tried to push a replacement instead and didn't even bother with a repair. read more

The windshield replacement was decent, but it came with a thick layer of dust and grease on the inside, months later now I'm STILL trying to get clean. For being literally 3 times the cost of nearby shops, you'd expect them to have the decency to clean the windshield prior to installing. read more

Safelite was responsive and made the appoint making process easy. The problem is with their work. They left black tarry bits all over the interior of my vehicle and garage floor. Then it was tracked into my house. It got on clothes and floor. The mess left behind was irresponsible, subpar, and filthy. I went to Safelite auto to get the little rock chip filled, the technician filled it and it was almost completely done when he decided to hook up some ghostly vacuum system and push on the window and then laughed at me when it caused a rip across the window as you can see in the picture and destroyed it. Nowhere did I sign that I'm not responsible and nowhere is there in writing that says they may accidentally destroy the window and it's OK and I have to pay to replace the window. I definitely do not recommend them and I personally will never ever ever ever use their services again although the latest window I had to pay for is covered under warranty I will select that and save it in case something happens but in the future I will never use their services. if you have a crack in your window go to a local shop or to your dealer and just pay him to do it and if you have insurance then file with them to get reimbursed because Safelite is a ripoff. I have had the worst service with this company. I hoped that all of the bad reviews about canceling on the day of appointment wouldn't happen to me.....Well....I took off work and no glass. Received Sunday night confirmation that my appointment was at 9am Monday. Monday I received a text that the install window was 8am-Noon. When they called to let me know my glass wasn't in he wanted to reschedule but didn't know when the glass would arrive...I told him to call me when they have the glass. This started 2 weeks ago. I don't think they even deserve one star. Here goes: The rear side glass of my car was broken into and I called Safelite in El Paso. They told me the earliest they could replace it was in 4 days, so I agreed. A day to the appointment, they called and rescheduled me for another day. I was patient until they did not even show up. Did not even bother to call instead they sent me another message that they cancelled the appointment. I tried calling back and was on hold for more than 30 minutes. Thank God, I googled Southwest Auto glass on Montana, El Paso. Not only did they get me in the same day, their charges were $200 less than what Safelite was going to bilk from me. I took my car in to have the windshield replaced. I was told that the car was recalibrated and good to go. I drove off and test it and nothing is working. I airboat to call them and cannot get a person on the line. I get online and email them letting them know that nothing is working after the calibrated and I haven't received a call. I've had to text, call multiple times before I got a person in the line. Their fix, I have to take time from my day to take it back because they didn't do it right. Unacceptable!! read more

Extremely horrible customer service, unreliable and despite their excuses of there being a shortage of parts, they failed to return my phone calls, never followed through on their promises and just simply not a way of running a business. My windshield is replaced and looks great. The technician damaged my truck during the process. The employee was super nice and even pointed out the damage when I came to pick-up the truck. Safelite told me to take it to a local autobody shop to get an estimate. The estimate was completed a month ago. My truck is still not fixed. I wasn't mad about the damage, mistakes happen. However, the response from the company is terrible. I've contacted the corporate office twice. I was very happy with the service and convenience. Then I discovered I was charged a much higher rate simply because I contacted my insurance company. You see... Safelite handles glass claims for many insurance companies. So when I called my insurance to find out what my deductible was, I was automatically redirected to Safelite. The rep informed me of my deductible and asked if I'd like to schedule Safelite to replace my windshield. I did, and everything went smooth and I paid my deductible. A few days later, I discovered that if I would have called Safelite directly (instead of my insurance company), the cost of the windshield replacement would not even meet my deductible. In fact it was about half the cost of my deducible. Of course I complained to my insurance company and Safelite, and after several calls (and days), the local manager was finally able to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. This is an unethical business practice. I should have been charged the lower rate to begin with. I have never had an experience like this from any business in any industry, until now. read more

The technician knew we were taking a nap so he didn't even ring my doorbell to let me know he was done. He knocked so lightly and was even whispering while he was running my credit card! Had a negative earlier review but the company's dedication and professionalism have earned them four more stars. Within minutes if my previous review I was contacted by them and they offered to resolve the situation. ( defective glass issue) They have a lifetime warranty, if you have any problem with the glass you should say something right away. Even though it was six years after we got our windshield installed they were still willing to honor their guarantee. Not only do they have fast courteous service, they stand behind that service. I wanted to take precaution and get a tiny chip in my windshield fixed. when their "expert" repair guy came out to fix it, he ended up cracking my entire window. when I told him he would be responsible for fixing the window, he handed me the disclaimer AFTER saying he wasn't responsible. I set up an appointment online for windshield replacement and had same day service available. I had things to do and scheduled for the following day. I wasn't going to be able to be there so I called in and put my CC on file and let them know my Mother-In-Law would be there instead. I got a text in the morning from the installer letting me know exactly what time he would show up and later when he showed up got another call letting me know that he was on site and to review what process would be taking place. About an hour or two later, I received another call letting me know he had completed the work. I looked over everything when I got home and it looked great! I especially appreciate the communication and follow-up from SafeLite and the tech that did the work. If I ever need another vehicle windshield I will be calling SafeLite again. I walk out of work yesterday and there is a crack spanning nearly my entire windshield so now I'm stuck getting quotes for my windshield replacement and will have added cost out of pocket.....
