We were on a driving trip to Yellowstone, and got a chip in the windshield. We had had our windshield replaced by Safelite closer to our home less than a year ago, so we looked this one up as we were traveling through. The man working there was incredibly rude and said they had no appointments available until the next month. This is clearly not helpful when there's a chip in the windshield. They replaced my windshield, but they did not tell me about all the charges they did on my car. When I got quoted they told me it would be about 500$, but then with out my knowledge did a calibration that cost another 600$. I now know that this is a thing, but I was not prepared to pay 1100$ on a windshield change, when A1 windshield does all of it for only 600$. They also did a poor job on the windshield. The trim around the windshield is sticking out, and there was parts of it hanging on the inside of the car. Costumer service told me I should have caught all of that before hand. But after 1000$, its not my job to check your work. Needless to say I will never be returning to safellite and will tell everyone who asks to avoid it at all costs. 0/5 stars. read more

This is the second time I have used safelite for glass replacement and I don't know why I didn't learn from my first bad experience with this company. The first time I used this company we had the driver's window replaced and it made an awful sound when window was put up almost as if it would almost burst after it was replaced. We ended up going to a different company to get it fixed. This last time we had our windshield replaced and we had a piece of our windshields flying off the next day. This is supposed to be a Reputable company that specializes in glass replacements and they are definitely falling short. I never received an explanation as to how this happened. A sorry for the inconvenience was their way of making things right! As a paying customer I expected so much more! Don't use this company if you want things done right! read more

Won't do business with them again. When we went to go pick it up, we were told that we owed nothing and I said OK are you sure is everything free and clear and they said yep you're good to go. Six months later we received a naughty letter in the mail stating that we owed them over $200. This was the first time we had been made aware that we owed anything even though we were told we didn't know anything and then we got another follow up letter from that saying that this was our final notice just two weeks later. It's not that we weren't going to pay it. It's just this was our first time being made aware of this so once we were made aware of it, we were going to pay it with next paycheck and soon enough before that we get another final naughty notice. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Very unprofessional, technician PEED in my driveway. I literally walked out and saw it, and have pics of it on my driveway. Then didn't even put door panel back on correctly, and broke a part and blamed it on someone previously replacing the window, it rolled up and down fine before he replaced it. Called the manager and he brushed us off, even with pictures. I would never use safelite again. My panel on my door is currently not even sitting on correctly and we can't roll the window up or down. Would love to get a quality repair for the amount they billed my insurance. Currently working on a "resolution" really hoping they will stand behind their work and fix it correctly. read more

Was then told they had no stores in my area waited on phone 1/2 hour as they tried to figure out why their system said that. They have two stores in area. Got disconnected they didnt call back. Had to drive to store and make appointment. And they put a lessor glass in my truck without the ford emblem at top. read more

My wife and I are traveling from Florida out west to see all the beautiful scenery in Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah. In our travels on interstate 15 in Idaho and rock hit our windshield and we had to have it replaced. At the time we were in Idaho Falls Idaho. we took our car to Safelite auto glass on 1130 E. 17th St., Idaho Falls, ID. With our particular car when the windshield is replaced the safety features have to be reprogrammed. In the process of doing that the technician accidentally broke the mirror or at least messed up the mirror which meant they couldn't do the recalibration of our safety features. They told us That we would have to bring it back the next day and have everything redone (I should mention that everyone was very sincerely apologetic to us for our inconvenience)Unfortunately for us we couldn't do that because we had reservations in Jackson hole Wyoming at a hotel that we couldn't cancel, if we did cancel it would cost us $400 to do so. So our initial plan was to go ahead and drive to Jackson hole then turn around and come back the following day to have our windshield taken care of. A huge inconvenience to us. That's when the manager Doug Simmons stepped up and said that because it was their fault that he would send a repair technician to Jackson hole and fix your windshield there. That's a 2 Hour Mountain Dr. Today the technician showed up on time and repaired our windshield. However, when they finished I still had a warning light on my dashboard. So, I called Mr. Simmons. He told me that their technician was still in Jackson hole and he would send him back to take a look at my car again. About two hours later the technician showed up he worked on the windshield and reprogrammed all the safety equipment. However we still had the warning light on. The technician kept working on it and finally figured out that it was a wire in the mirror where the mirror attached to the window. I got in the car drove it tested it and everything seems to be fine. While I am thinking of it I should mention that the technicians name is Johnnie Chacon. This company is incredible they went above and beyond to take care of us they were polite, professional and they actually admitted their mistake in the beginning which most businesses don't do and could very easily have told us you just need to take this to the dealer and get it taken care of. They didn't do that, They stuck with us till the end to make sure everything was fine. I would highly recommend this business to anyone that is ever in Idaho falls Idaho. Horrible communication. Had A small crack maybe 2 inches in a windshield that they had replaced within 6 months. It didn't seem to have any starting point so called them to make an appointment to get it fixed. Well turns out that there is no way to actually call them. Their phone number is automated and no matter what option you choose it will direct you to the website then hang up on you(give it a try). At their website you can however text them and they will answer within a day or two or more which seems strange for a service business. Well I sent my question looking to get the crack filled. They told me there would be no way to get it fixed because there is no place to inject the resign, but they would replace the windshield. I was obviously satisfied and they scheduled the repair. It was about 2 weeks from when I started trying to get ahold of them with daily freezing and thawing from the late Idaho winter so the crack was spreading. I dropped it off and 30 minutes later they called me to say it wouldn't be warranted because there is a small chip where they say it started from. I disagree (though I could be wrong) because the crack didn't seem to even have been where he stated the chip was. Either way if it would have been a 100-200 if they would have fixed the crack to begin with but since they said they couldn't do that and had us wait til it was too big for them to repair (the tech did tell me that another shop would probably be able to fix it). Anyway I feel like they were avoiding the warranty because I expect there are either bonuses for low warranty work or punishments for high. It also seems like they they are moving away from personal repairs and moving toward dealership and commercial fleets Which could in the end be a great business move for them but you should probably avoid them if you are a regular customer. read more

I had a rock chip and they actually came to me since I couldn't go to them. They treated me very nicely. They fixed my rock chip and life went on. I got another rock chip and I was out of town. The other company fixed my most recent one (they did an outstanding job, I couldn't even see my rock chip after) and they looked at the rock chip repaired by safelite and they said it wasn't done properly. There was clearly a big difference on repairs. read more
