I can't believe all the negative comments and reviews, because all I had was a positive experience. I had to get a new windshield replacement because there was a crack in the windshield. I remember years ago on previous cars windshields used to cost about $200, but not on the car I have now. The windshield with the factory glass ended up being about two thousand dollars with the installation and recalibration of the safety system. It was an easy transaction. They handled everything with the insurance. Got everything approved, and only a 50.00 deductible. I dropped off my car at 8 AM, and it was done in the time promised at 1pm. They kept me updated with text messages and emails. The workmanship was perfect, as was the management and the customer service. They are now my official place if I ever need glass work done and I have recommended them to others. read more

I would drive without a windshield before using Safelite again. Had a scheduled appointment for between 8am-12pm. Cancelled business meetings as well as took a day off of work. I finally called at 2:45pm- to be told "oops there was a miscommunication we aren't coming today blah blah" I had to call to see what happened. Absolutely ridiculous. Wish I could give Zero Stars. To be totally honest, I was skeptical about using Safelite to replace the windshield on my 2023 Chevy Traverse. While I had seen some positive reviews, there were many more negative reviews, especially about the Warwick, RI location. I only used Safelite because when I called both AAA and my insurance company, they recommended Safelite. My insurance paid 100% of the windshield replacement. When I voiced my apprehension about using Safelite, they assured me they would work with me and Safelite, if there were any problems with the installation. Now that the installation is done and I've been driving the car, including in the rain, I can say I'm TOTALLY SATISFIED with the service and work I received from Safelite. Scheduling the appointment was easy and the woman I spoke to manage to get me an appointment within two days of my call. The gentleman who came out to my house to do the installation was polite and professional. He informed me of his status throughout the process, including when he drove my car to recalibrate the safety system. He even made sure my windshield was meticulously clean before he left. I made an appointment online to replace my windshield. When I went there they didn't have the glass.

0 stars is more appropriate... Set up an appointment for on site repair, received a call last minute to reschedule due to my car needing to be serviced in the shop due to the windshield sensor calibration. We rescheduled over the phone for next day. I drove 45 minutes to get there for said appointment and no record on file of appointment being made. I played a recording from a rep the day before stating it had been scheduled, played said recording and was still turned away service by 4 people behind the desk that wouldn't even acknowledge i was there. Horrible service and customer support!!!!! They cancelled on me twice both times stating the window they received was broken. Took car to replace windshield, Johnston location they did that, drove my car the next morning only to find that it sounds like I have a window open, which means the install was not done correctly, called to let them know which is a nightmare! Finally spoke to someone and they told me it takes a week for it to cure! A WEEK! since when, this is not the first time I have replaced a windshield and NEVER had an issue,or had to wait a week for noise/rattles to go away! They gave me an appointment for next week, now I have to take more time out of work to have it corrected, in the meantime if it rains and my car gets damaged, oh well, just because they say they will fix it doesn't mean I want dame to the inside of my car if it leaks. I will NEVER use this company again, even it this windshield cracks and is under warranty, the headache, stress involved for something that should be simple is not worth the trouble. I will pay a company that actually does it right the first time! Train your employees to get it right so customers don't have to waste time coming back to get it fixed again! If I could give zero stars I would! So unprofessional to say the least. I booked my appointment a week in advance. I entered my VIN in the system to ensure the correct glass was ordered. The installation rep arrived and said, "umm yea I don't think I have the correct glass (windshield) I have to contact the office" I waited and the "manager" said the glass is inventoried and will be weeks. The installation rep said to me that the price will also increase. I asked how much and he said a few hundred dollars more. I said, " I did everything correct and ur computer verified by my VIN. He said the computer calibrated the wrong VIN. How is this now my fault? When the installation rep said, "most customers are waiting weeks" ...atp I walked away ... I wouldn't recommend Safelite to anyone... So to Donna and Scott please get ur act together and stop wasting peoples time! read more

Johnston RI location Like Dawn G I would totally give a zero, except mine would be a negative zero(-0). The windshield on my Mercedes E350 was cracked mid across to the drivers side so Geico sent me to them. WORST mistake EVER! They replaced the windshield with a comparable one. When it rained I noticed the rain sensor did not work so my husband called and they told him to bring it in. I initially thought I had it on the wrong setting but my husband who knows cars drove it in the rain too and confirmed it wasn't working on the right setting mind you. Hubby dropped it off and picked it up and was told it was working. Guess what, it rained again and NOTHING sensor not working. He called again and was told this time they would send someone out to my house which they did, Mike who was very nice and professional. The tech took my keys I went back inside and he did what he did. He came to get me when he was done and said I had the wipers on the wrong setting and it was working. We walked over to the car so he could demonstrate that it was working. Now heres the kicker, he sprayed the windshield on the right setting in front of me and it didn't work. He then put his hands up and said I swear it was working and literally had to spray the windshield like 3 times before it worked. Once again it rained and nothing! it still didn't work even with some major down pour rain. One day last week it rained and still NOTHING! at this point I had had it and called Geico to demand that an original Mercedes windshield be put in as my husband after the second time suspected that was the issue. Thankfully Geico approved it. My husband brings it to them again today picked it up and of course was told it was fixed and said one of the techs waived his hand on the sensor and the wipes came. Even to me this is laughable, Its a rain sensor not a hand sensor. Not to mention I was told by Geico that Safelite was notified on Monday that they would pay for a Mercedes windshield and not the knock off. Today no new windshield and yet once again the sensor is still not working and the crazy thing is it rained a little on our way home this evening. When my husband notified me at work that they didn't change the windshield I had had enough of this place and called Geico to tell them that I have no faith and have lost all confidence in Safelite and didn't want them touching my car EVER AGAIN! Geico was so good and found me another place closer to home that will put in a Mercedes windshield. I'm pretty sure they knew the issue was the generic windshield not being compatible with my car. Either that or whoever did my windshield didn't know what they were doing. A little advise Safelite, if the insurance company after the fact is willing to approve the manufactures windshield THATS WHAT YOU SHOULD PUT IN! Keep your customers happy and you can avoid reviews like this! Not to mention the amount of people I know that could have been potential customers. My insurance company sent me to Safelight. After waiting a full week for the back windshield of my Jeep to be replaced I was called at 8:00 a.m. the morning of the appointment and told the glass had not arrived. My appointment was rescheduled for 1 week later. I live in Rhode Island, the glass was coming from Portland Maine (2 hours and 26 minutes away) Upon calling 9 days after the glass was ordered to check on the tracking I was given the run-around and a lot of excuses. Giselle at Safelight has not called me back to confirm if the glass will be delivered this week or not. I will never do business with this company again. Every step was easy. making the appointment online for same day repair to my windshield was simple. They even filed the claim with my insurance company. Once I arrived, I was greeted by Sarah. What a great employee you have! She was very nice, made you feel welcome and explained everything.
