This was our first time getting a windshield replacement in Texas, and the guys at this location of Safelite were very quick! We we're told it would be ready in about two hours, but we went for some brunch at La Panadería on Broadway. Before we were even finished eating, we got a text saying the car was just about ready to be picked up. We hurried back and it was waiting for us, my husband looked it over and said it looked fine. If any problems arise, I'll update the review. The price was quite high, but it was pretty comparable to what the dealership would charge and did not require several days for the windshield to be ordered. I showed up to my 7:30 appointment this morning which I had an appointment for scheduled for drop off from 7:30 to 9:30. The employee at the front desk told me they would need my car until 5. She even had me sign a drop off form... which said "7:30-9:30" I told her I needed my car before 5. She explained to me that the technicians "work on windshields in between breaks" and that they would try to get it done before 5. My appointment slot was scheduled for three hours and I took a day off of work to ge this completed. When I told the employee at the front desk the information, she said she would see if she could "schedule me an 'ACTUAL' appointment. I'm sorry... what is the appointment I scheduled for then? SLOPPY. That defines my experience with Safelite. I brought my girlfriend's car in for a crack in the windshield. While scheduling was easy and quick to get in, everything after that was poor. I dropped the car off at the specified time on a Saturday morning. They said I'd get call when the car is ready before closing at 5pm. By 4:30pm, I hadn't received a call and since they're closed on Sundays, I headed that way to make sure I was there before closing time. I got a call at 4:47pm saying the car was ready and that they close at 5pm; so it's a good thing I was on my way otherwise I might've had to wait til Monday for pickup. When arrived, the car was parked out front. I immediately noticed marker writing on the windshield, jagged edges on the glass film and that the inspection sticker was missing. Checkout was accurate but when I asked about the sticker and jagged edges, the cashier had to call someone out. The technician who came out had to go get cleaner for the marker, a razor to cut the jagged edges and go find the inspection sticker. The first sticker given to me wasn't even for the car, wrong plate number and county listed. When they finally returned with the correct sticker it was in tatters; requiring the purchase of new one. The poor communication and sloppy work earned a solid 2 stars. read more

As we sat there one Saturday waiting for a nick in our glass to be repaired the employees fixing the glass came out to 4 other customers to tell them their nicks ended up spreading and their entire windshields would need to be replaced. I felt bad for them, but worse yet, scared that we wouldn't be the exception. In fairness, I don't know how big or small the other folk's nicks were, but 4 out of 4 can't be a great track record. When the guy repairing ours came out I just new it would be bad news. It wasn't though, thank God, and we were only out about $150 for the repair. They took us as walk-ins and offered a military discount, which took 10% off of our original bill. The reason why I'm on the fence about this particular location is the staff at the front desk. Safelite scheduled me in for the earliest possible appointment, and in the meantime they happily cleaned up the mess inside my car AND put a temporary film covering the window, protecting the interior from the elements. Both visits (temporary-film visit and window install), the Safelite crew was extremely helpful, patient while answering my questions, and very friendly! First appointment was , made by my insurance man. Schedule to be done on April 9th at this location. I took the day off and left SUV. I did not receive a phone call after 4 hours, I called the number given to me who answer the phone told me that he will contact the store. Everyone communicated well and was very straightforward about what was required to replace my windshield. The price was worth it as my windshield almost had a hole in it! The technician was very timely also--process for me took about 3 hours total before I could drive away. I recommend them if you need a quick fix or a whole new windshield. read more

UPDATE since my last review... 7/19/21 I have not heard from Safelite since the failed appointment on 7/16. I called Safelite and spoke with Sonia over the phone, who told me that it looks like the parts are in, but that she would have to confirm with the parts specialist Brittany, who was out to lunch. She said she or Brittany would call me back once confirmed. No one ever called. 07/20/21 Contacted my insurance company to advise them of the trouble I've had with Safelite. My insurance company said they contacted Safelite and said the part was ordered and on the way. I next contacted Safelite Customer Service said they are ordering the molding. I called the local Safelite number and got a dispatcher in Ft. Worth, who said that the store on Landmark is not answering and 3 other people have tried calling. He said he would send them a message to contact me. 07/21/2021 I was finally contacted by Brittany who said the part was ordered and scheduled me for an appointment on 07/22/21. 07/22/2021 The Safelite technician arrived at my home as scheduled and replaced the problematic molding from the original install. The technician was friendly and professional and quickly installed the molding. I inspected the work and it appeared to be correctly installed. My final take... Everyone I dealt with at Safelite was courteous, wether it was over the phone or in person. The biggest issue was trying to correct the problematic initial installation of my new windshield. The follow up from Safelite was almost non existent. I had to repeatedly call and contact them to get this issue resolved. I don't know if this was a fluke but I'd think twice before I would consider using them again. read more

This is the worst company to get a windshield replacement. I've had to come to this location 4 times. First appointment they said that they didn't have the windshield in stock so they would have to order it. Second visit I came and they explained to me that the windshield that was ordered was a cheaper one and not the original OEM glass, so I would possibly lose any safety features I have. Talked to the receptionist and she stated that she would get the original OEM glass ordered. Third visit, they installed the OEM glass and stated that it had scratches on it so I would need to make another appointment to get that windshield replaced. By now I'm pissed... Made the 4th appointment for 12pm for another day. When I arrived for the 4th appointment the receptionist that ordered the wrong windshield for the 2nd appointment says... "Hey, you're here again?! and what are we doing for you?! We're going to be best-friends". Granted she was the one that told me on the third visit that the windshield needed to be replaced because the OEM glass had scratches. Fast forward I'm waiting in the lobby until 1:45pm when the employee who was working on my vehicle says that they were just starting on my repair. If I had the power to shut this place down I would. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! If you want to be driving back and forth for a windshield replacement... book the appointment! Fyi... Had 1 chip/scratch on my windshield. Quick service for the fix. However, nobody verbally explained to me that a leftover mark or defect would be there after the repair. They have you sign a form in the beginning stating this, but as I left I asked if everything went well if there is anything I should do or know after the repair and they said nope everything good. I walked back in to ask after I saw the leftover defect on the windshield and they were rude and indifferent stating I signed a form so I should know. Sorry, this isn't my day job, it's yours, and when i commented that they should actually verbally tell the customers this before they leave, all I got back was "thank you" from the front desk. Assistant manager called me with an attitude asking me if I'm even gonna come pick up my car today although nobody had called me to tell me that my car was ready! I go inside until the assistant manager. He cuts me off and says that he'll be sending a technician outside. This Safelite location is horrible. I had my windshield replaced a few years ago and they damaged my headliner near the windshield and said nothing. Recently my fiancé had her windshield replaced and they lost the part that hides the rearview mirror wire. They promised they would order the part but never did. Repeated calls go unanswered or ignored. They refuse to complete the work even though they admit their technician lost the part. To make matters worse, Safelite asked us to "send them a picture of the part." How are we supposed to send a picture of a part they lost?? Are we to go back in time and take a picture? I we could do that; we'd go back in time and take the vehicle elsewhere to be repaired properly. Talk about adding insult to injury. Geesh. :( read more

Suffice it to say, they had my car five days, doubled the quote, told me I'd have to get the paint for the mouldings done, myself, and failed to communicate. I picked it up unrepaired. I had windshield damage to my vehicle and the company that did it, Aggregate Haulers sent me to Safelite through their claims process. I told them I wanted an exact replacement and after two weeks and two canceled appointments (one was a no call/no show from Safelite) they basically told me an exact replacement didn't exist. Yeaterday I found that the windshield DOES exist. Safelite is deceptive and I shared that information with the Texas Attorney General this morning because I had already reported the trucking company. Had my dads rear window replaced on a Cadillac CT's last year. The technician was the worst. He left scratches all around the window paint , left broken glass in side the back dash and they never could fix the rubber molding to the truck that is still leaking. Safelight 410 and Ingram gets an "F" Also, when returning to fix a problem.. bring your own tools.upon re to fix the problem I had to go into my tool shed to supply these two idiots with the proper tools and they still didn't get it right. read more
