You can't even speak with a live agent. Every time I tried I was hung up on. That's just annoyingly frustrating

I have used Safelite before but have never gone to the Northern Blvd/E Syracuse location. The branch manager Christine was welcoming and the employee who took my info was pleasant and helpful-answered my questions, asked if I wanted new wiper blades and when I declined didn't try to convince me differently. While waiting several other employees and customers came and went. All employees seemed happy to be working there. A very pleasant experience AND the windshield looks great! read more

This review is for their online quote/pricing. Each time I request a quote for the same service, the price changes. I even tried today using two different emails with all other specs the same and the price was off $25. I was quoted for the same service 3 weeks ago for $100 less. When I contacted customer service to see if they will honor that quote, they tried to tack on more charges asking me about vehicle specs (which I would assume were factored in when I gave my vehicle make and model through their online quotation system). They said the on site technician would be responsible for the final pricing. Overall, I will take my money to a local shop where pricing is more transparent. read more

I had a $45 off coupon. When I went to pay, the bill was the same as before the coupon! Safelite added a "recycling fee' of $39.99 plus tax at the check out. This is NOT a government fee but just Safelite padding the bill. So the price quoted is a lie! read more

I've unfortunately needed safelite twice in the last 2 years for a replacement front car window most recently this last week. The service I receive from the employees is always great. They come right out as soon as you walk in the door and are very detailed on what they'll be doing. This time I stayed with my car and they told they'd start on it immediately and wouldn't be more than hour and true to their word I was leaving with a new front window within the hour. Great team that works here and they always make sure I understand now to pressure wash for 24 hours and answer any questions I have. Their lifetime warranty is phenomenal and no fuss if anything happens, my first time I noticed leaves were getting stuck in between and the fixed immediately no questions asked. read more

Everything went very smoothly. Dropped my truck off after work on Friday, and received a call while I was eating breakfast on Saturday that it was done. Picked it up and everything looked perfect. Extremely happy with the new windshield. read more

Had a great experience here. Got my windshield replaced in less than 45 minutes and the staff is so kind. I did pay out of pocket so it was pricey but I called around and pretty much got the same quote. 10/10 recommend coming to this location. read more

They screwed up a scheduled and confirmed appointment. Was rescheduled fot several days later. Service tech was very good. Technical end was great, but their scheduling people not so much. More recently, had a cracked windshield on another car and scheduled an appointment. Got an email confirmation with an estimated time that the rep would be at my house. The service rep called to let me know he was on the way and was here as promised. Fortunately, the crack could be sealed with a special epoxy. The service was excellent and was completed in a timely manner. He gave me a number of tips to potentially avoid future problems. If I do, I will call these guys again. read more

I dropped off my car to replace my windshield. They replaced it quickly and recalibrated by cameras. Did a great job.

I had my windshield replaced which was covered by ins. Within a couple weeks I walked outside and there was a crack that apparently started below the plastic guard on the bottom of the window. Since there is suppose to be a warranty on the windshield I called and let them know; they said it would be covered free of charge. When the tech came out he said yes no problem I just need to get authorization from my supervisor. When he called his local office his supervisor told him to tell me it is a stress crack from impact a blunt object and they aren't responsible. She told him they could replace the window that day if I called the insurance company and opened a new Tclaim saying my window was hit again. Umm... I was sicked by the blaten willingness to commit ins fraud and advocation from their responsibilities. Buyer beware dealing with this company, If there are ANY issues they will refused to stand behind their work or products. I will never ever use this company again. I called my ins company explained what happend and requested a different glass company to do the work. I highly UNRECCOMEND SAFELITE read more

I'm very happy with the service I received from Garth the tech. He called and txt'd before showing up. The installation he did was outstanding. The only reason for the Good and not an Excellent was the back office experience. The CSR Katie was very nice and helpful. However, I had made the appointment a week before the service. The policy was to wait until the day before to contact my insurance company. I did not know until the day before the appointment that there would not be any deductable. Great employees, Poor corporate policy. read more

Scheduled 2 appointments with safelite, one to remove a broken window and another to install the new window a few days later after the body work on the vehicle was done. I made sure that I gave the scheduler a date for reinstallation, knowing that everything with safelite must be booked well in advance. I called to confirm first thing in the morning of the day scheduled for reinstallation and was told they had nothing on their schedule. The customer service agent tried calling the local branch and could not get through. She told me she would send a message to the branch manager who would call me back in a few minutes. Half an hour later, with no return call, I called the local branch myself. Chris, the manager, was anything but helpful. She made excuses, saying she had two technicians call in sick (amazing coincidence that two techs both get sick on July 3), another on vacation, and that we (the shop) were supposed to call her to schedule reinstallation. I told her I did schedule, for today, back on June 25. She offered no apology, saying the soonest she could do it was Monday (July 8- another five days from now!), and that she didn't care if I called someone else. So I did. Safelite is a terrible company. I have never had a smooth experience with them. If you ever need a glass claim on your own vehicle, use a local independent installer. Safelite gets so much business from insurance referrals that they can afford to piss off people. Remember, your insurance company CANNOT MAKE YOU USE SAFELITE! That is called steering, and is illegal. You have the right to have your vehicle repaired by the shop of your choice, and most independent glass installers will direct-bill your insurance. And that local guy is going to care about his customers and his reputation a lot more than the big corporate monster. read more

my insurance company recommended Safelite to me but I would not recommend it to anyone. The tech they sent out made a mess of my car and the ground surrounding my car. It was convenient to have them come to my work but not so much when I have to clean up the mess. On top of that the tech broke the clips that hold my windshield trim on and instead of leaving it off he puts it in place so when I roll my window down it hits me in the face. I called and explained what happened and they told me they would send some one to replace them. 3 weeks later I had to go there and pick them up. Very Professional. read more

Safelite was professional, punctual, and I'm so glad I chose them to repair our windshield. They used OEM glass and when they left, the windshield looked EXACTLY like when we bought the van. The registration, inspection, and even a National Shore Beach Pass sticker we had on the windshield were put back on the new windshield like it never happened!!!! Well worth the few days I had to wait for an appt. Use Safelite if you break a car window. Don't use anyone else!!!! read more

If I could put negative stars I would! They came out on time to replace my windshield. Didn't take the man much time. However, I noticed my onstar box wasn't attached well (not a big deal) so I called and stopped by the shop and had it fixed. I thought that was it. The next day when cleaning my car I noticed the foam strip along the bottom of the inside of the windshield was twisted and the sticky part exposed. So again I had to call a technician to come out. He fixed it. But to further my inconvinence, it rained that night and I wanted to spray my wipers with washer fluid, except I couldn't. The man that first came out and did the initial work on my car had not hooked the connector back up therefore causing washer fluid to pool in the belly pan under my hood until it overflowed and came out the bottom of my vehicle. So after my first appointment I had to schedule 3 additional ones in order to have the first technicians mistakes corrected. 4 attempts to fix one window!? Horrible experience, highly dissatisfied, first and last time with this company. read more

I will never go to Safelite Auto Glass again. When I went online and made an appointment, they came out on time and everything. The first thing the service tech, Matt, said was "Wow truck looks lifted." I said it was. Then we went to look at the windshield (It was shattered due to hitting deer), he goes to say how this looks bad. My simple response was "Well this is why I called you because you know how to do this" Then after looking at the truck he said he didn't think he could do it because itll be hard for him and he thinks the roof is bent. Well I told him to leave and drove my truck to THRUWAY AUTO GLASS and they fixed it within an hour. No roof dented, no problem or having to deal with a "Lifted Truck". I will NEVER go to Safelite and recommend everyone to go to THRUWAY AUTO GLASS ON ERIE BLVD. read more
