They canceled at the time of appointment with a text saying that the windshield did not arrive. my appointment was rescheduled for one week later with a time window between 12:00 -5:00: nobody has shown up or called me yet and is now 6:15 PM. when I call the number it recognizes my number and an automated prompt lets me know of my appointment window. the branch is closed and I can't speak to an actual person. They did a good job in a timely manner. This is the second windshield that they have replaced for me on luxury cars.

I had a replacement windshield installed about 3 weeks ago. It had severe mineral deposits or something of that sort on the outside surface. I used every cleaning product and a nylon scrubber to remove it to no avail. I returned about a week later and it was replaced. WELL, the same mineral spots are on this one. In the morning when it is iffy or dewy, the moisture will NOT wipe from the glass. It hazes over and you CANNOT see out of it! I have called 4 times now to Corporate and have been promised a call, again to no avail. This is a serious SAFETY issue that Safelite had dropped the ball on!!! It is UNSAFE to drive in the AM under these conditions. I simply asked to have it polished, so as not to have to tear my car apart, AGAIN. However, I am not going to pay the $50 to $150 that is needed on a NEW windshield! It is going on ONE MONTH and NO answer from Safelite!!! I am making an appointment today with different company and have it replaced with a clear windshield and will sue in Small Claims Court for the glass and my 6 hours of wasted billable time. Received ( 0) the most horrible service from the cedar hill , Texas location was scheduled a home visit the tech never showed up I live 7 mins away from the location , when I originally scheduled the appointment I asked is there a specific time for arrival ? There front desk scheduling person advised there isn't and to just be available between 8am and 12 noon , i received a call 729am ,I missed the call , when I called back k no answer and no response at all ! No one from safelite has reached out and gave any explanation of any sort , it's officially 12:30 pm I called the local location they stated they will only call once and then move along to the next appointment. negative stars if I could. scheduled an appointment for 8am, didn't hear anything all day. had to set up a google voice number so I could get past the endless robot and AI questionnaires over the phone. and then when I did get in contact with an actual live human being, they couldn't get in contact with the shop OR the technician who was supposed to do my repair. Attempted to fix my windshield 3 separate times but couldn't "recalibrate" the sensors. The final time I had to drive it to Safelite as they couldn't fix the issue at my house. When I went to pick it up after nearly a week of waiting the car wouldn't shifts into gear and they messed up the module in my jeep. Absolute terrible experience. Came out to repair a chip and cracked my windshield. Scheduled an appointment to go in to replace the windshield, asked to speak with the manager, lied and put me on with someone else who represented themselves as a manager when they were not. Rep said she would call me if the windshield didn't come in, she never called. Showed up for my appointment but my windshield replacement was not delivered. The same rep, Ashley, said she would personally set a reminder to check and call me when it came in, she never called. Reign called me to follow up on the order and tried to get me to pay $1600 in cash even though I filed an insurance claim. Explained the situation. She said she would personally own this issue and call me with an update on my windshield, she never called. I followed up a few days before the appointment to confirm the windshield was there, she said she would have to email the supplier and give me a call back. She never called back. I called to follow up the next day and confirmed the windshield was there. Came in to replace the windshield and the tech told me it would be 2 hours, including recalibration. After 2 hours came out and told me the replacement was completed but they had to wait on hold with the car manufacturer to recalibrate the windshield. If they knew they was the case they should have called proactively to have the recalibration done. Needless to say, this was an awful experience. Safelite had cornered the market so they don't feel they have to offer a reasonable level of service. I suggest going anywhere except here for any needs. They are unprofessional and are not customer service focused at all. read more

They changed my windshield and installed my rearview mirror upside down. Put the shrouds around it so that I could not adjust my mirror while driving. Then I called to get this fixed and they could not give me an appointment for several days. I had to walk in to get it fixed and hopefully I don't have any more problems. This is completely unacceptable for an insurance job that I am sure they get top dollar for. read more

Cannot believe I have to give 1 star. I noticed before I left the install was wrong. They fixed it and I woke up the next morning to the same issue but since I drove away the day before, now it's considered warranty work. 10 waiting days later, I get it fixed and here we are with the same problem. can't get anyone to answer the phone or deal with it in person. TL;DR poor installation. First the good news. Safelite was recommended by the dealer and worked with my insurance so I didn't have to pay out of pocket to replace my cracked windshield. The tech arrived as scheduled and performed the repair at my house. The bad news. After installation, my rain-sensing wipers no longer worked. The installer applied uneven pressure and the glass is warped in the corners where the view is now distorted. read more

THEN as if that wasn't bad enough - after they replaced my windshield they told me Inhad to go to the dealer to get my cameras calibrated! I had to pay $495 and Wait for the insurance company to refund it - AND my original windshield had a very light.UV protection tint and they refused to do it. My insurance company asked me to get a doctors note to recommend the tint because I have macular degeneration and the doctor refused and told me to wear sunglasses!!! read more

Had an appointment scheduled for a Saturday between 8am-12pm. Got a phone call at 730am from the tech saying she was on her way and would be there around 8am as I was her first appointment that day. Great (I thought), I could get on the my day. 800am comes and goes. Nothing. 900am comes and goes. Nothing. I thought maybe I misheard her, so I call the shop. Really bad customer service - the person how answered did not listen to anything I had to say, and kept saying sometimes the techs are late. To the first appointment?!? Then I am told the tech would be there around 1130am. Noon comes and goes. Nothing. 1pm, 2pm...nothing. Then I call and am told that someone "in the shop" had to help me. I was transferred and hung up on before speaking to anyone else. About 50 or so hours after the original appointment time (it's now Monday afternoon) I get a text and email saying my appointment has been cancelled. No phone call, no explanation. Safelite repaired the glass in my Range Rover.. the glass repair was fine. Except the fact that my gearshift was working when I left my car with the tech and when I got back in my car (after tech drove it) it was no longer functioning. The local manager is not helping and is assuming no responsibility. I am having to tow my vehicle to the dealership because we can't even drive it. I think the worst part is they aren't even trying to offer to take a look or help us in anyway. It's just not worth the headache, I wish I would have read all the countless bad reviews prior where people mentioned how their property was damaged during the install. read more

I'm giving 5 stars because as far as the work they did, it was great. They got me in and out of there in about 75 mins, for a windshield replacement. Not bad at all. They kept me updated periodically, and were professional and courteous. I just wanted to make a note about the toys in the waiting area. I really do appreciate the sentiment of having toys in there, acknowledging that people have to sit in a small waiting area with their kids for an extended period of time. However I think they'd be better off not having them in there. The toys are extremely dirty and unsanitary. My daughter wanted to play with them and I spent the whole time telling her "no." I wouldn't have let her touch them even prior to Covid. They are there to make parents' lives easier, which I appreciate; but they actually make it harder because you spend the whole time telling your kid they can't play with them. read more

I had an appointment window today from 8 am to 12 pm. The tech did not show up. I called to express my frustration for wasting my time waiting for their tech. They could at least have called to let me know there will be a delay or something. the rep on the phone started justifying herself that it's a normal occurrence. I should have been more patient and keep waiting outside the time window they've provided me, like a waiting room at the doctor's office. Safelite is now comparing themselves to Doctor's!!! Then the rep just rudely hanged up on me and took it upon herself to cancel my appointment. Just amazing. Terrible customer service. Safelite replaced my windshield and dented the plastic moulding pieces on each side of the windshield. We didn't notice the mistake initially. We called up after the 30 day warranty window and they still said they'd send somebody out under a warranty call. The technician while trying to fix the molding broke it even worse. The windshield was cracked by a rock while driving on I-75 North (from Brandon to Land O Lakes exit 275). I filed the claim with insurance company and they recommended Safelite. Onsite appointment was made for 1/27/2023, and the OEM glass was to have been ordered no later than 1/17/2023. Safelite did NOT order the glass, and I was called the morning of 1/27 to inform me that lead time on the order was 5 business days (the ticket was hung/queued incorrectly in their system). I went to the Thonotosassa store where the windshield was replaced and re-calibrated. However, when I started the car, I received a yellow wrench icon error on the dashboard with an informational error of "Auto lighting and wiping system malfunction". As I had drove away, I tried to call the store via 813-982-5149 as that was also the number on the receipt/invoice as as before, it rang 3 times and immediately disconnected. I drove back to the shop, and informed the staff of the error. The car was taken back in where technician identified he had used the wrong camera adhesive ring. Per comments, he told me he normally like to use a thicker ring as he feels it's more stable, and had only seen this issue on one other BMW. He had just done a BMW and the client never returned, so he "guessed" it was okay. My unspoken question was why they weren't using an OEM spec with parts to properly replace the windshield so errors don't occur. I can only guess Safelite does not have that level of specificity in their procedures/documentation. Upon getting in the vehicle, I checked to ensure the error message had cleared - and it had. I proceeded to drive home where the glint of sunlight showed a "scratch" or possible faint hairline crack about mid-windscreen in the driver side right-center view. I then called 888-238-4527 (per invoice number provided if clients "have a problem". The number routed to "Executive" desk which is not staffed on the week-ends, so I left voicemail. I am now not-so patiently waiting for a response. Finally, the receipt states the "vehicle has been vacuumed", and this blatently untrue. The interior is as dirty as it was when I dropped it off. I have not washed / cleaned the car in 3 weeks as I was afraid of leakage / additional damage to the cracked windscreen. read more

I used Safelite Auto Glass to replace my cracked windshield through my insurance! The window replacement was fine, however in the process my rearview mirror was broken! I was assured that they would fix that for me free of charge as it occurred during their care. Within a week I took my car in to take a look and they let me know they ordered the part. I thought it would be smooth sailing!! However, week after week I was given the run around. Twice I was told the part never came and they would order it again. It is now October 21st, and they still won't return my calls. Today I went to a Firestone, where the amazing employee told me what part to buy and he installed for free for me.
