Very happy again! Had another great experience with Safelite. This time I needed my windshield replaced (last time I had a side window done) due to one of those pesky rocks from our wonderful roads. Everything from scheduling on line to the replacement of the windshield went smoothly. The technician, Jake called me as he was running a bit behind. I was grateful for that as many do not. When he got here I greeted him and asked if he was able to save a car wash sticker that I had on the inside of my windshield. He said he would try his best to do so without ruining it and he got it done. They also took care of the insurance company claim so I didn't have to get caught up in all of that. Nice work but they like to take your car out for a joy ride around town with a little too much joy. They took FIFTEEN miles off my range and my mpg went down from 42 to 37. I understand why they require a 3/4 filled tank. Not sure what driving the car around like that has anything to do with a windshield repair read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I had a small chip that was starting to spread so I had safelite repair it. Within a few weeks, the repair failed and so I reached out. They were trying to get me to pay an additional $700+ to replace my whole windshield. I asked for a refund and they said they would process it. The refund was never processed and I have had to call several times to get any sort of follow up. I finally got through to someone who sounded like it was all fixed but I still have not had the refund hit my account. This has been a very negative and frustrating experience and I will be sharing it with everyone I know. read more

Classic Michigan weather caused my small chips I had had to bisect my windshield in a large crack. I thought back to those "Safelite repair, Safelite replace" commercials, booked an appointment, and took my car in a few days later. The parking lot was nearly full, and I had to practice my parallel parking on the side of the small lot. The woman working the front desk asked a few questions and was very polite. The lobby was warm and clean. My windshield replacement only took maybe three hours, and there were multiple people waiting across the numerous chairs in the lobby. I had two car wash stickers, and oil change sticker, and a dash cam glued to my windshield. The technician who worked on my car (don't know his name but awesome mohawk) kindly removed and replaced all the stickers and put a plastic piece on the back of my dash cam joint so I could replace it back on to my new windshield. No bubbles or tape left over, and no damage to my vehicle. Amazing professionalism as he explained his process and the price. Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it does, Safelite on Maple is my go-to. read more

A rock hit my windshield driving on the freeway. I called my insurance and they routed me to safelite to set up an appt. I was told if they can't fix the chip the windshield would be replaced. They never said the repair was just structural, not cosmetic. I have a new car and don't want to drive around with a chip in my windshield. I would have scheduled an appt for replacement if I was given the full info. I got there and they said the chip would still be visible. I took time off of work to make that appt for nothing. Absolute waste of time. I called back a week later to make an appt to replace my windshield. The appt was set for several days later at 3pm. Again, I had to take multiple hours off of work to make this work because their "we'll come to you" option has a FIVE HOUR window. I left work at 230 to drive to safelite, at 240 I got a phone call saying "hey, we never got that part. Can we reschedule?" 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE APPT? Then I got another call 10 minutes later that the part just rolled in. I got there and got it fixed. Get some professional people working there. It also took nearly an hour after my quoted completion time to get the repair done, but that was the least of my issues. I will not use your service again. read more

If I could give a negative rating, I would. First: the scheduling process. I called 3 times on 3 separate days trying to get my windshield replaced. First time they said a mobile tech will call me with further details, a couple days went by so I called the second time...again a couple of days go by so I call the 3rd time. I speak with a manager at a local branch and he tells me "oh yeah they kept booking you for in shop install but you need mobile" i said yes thats what I requested 2 now 3 times. When i finally have the mobile tech call me, almost 2 weeks later... I tell him that i need this done asap - he arrives the next day and does almost $3000 worth of damage to my brand new car!!! I was so upset... (the gun they use to remove the windshield "slipped" and hit my roof, headliner, and interior trim.) Again I was so upset and this had already been such a long drawn out process.. So now I have a local certified shop quote the damage, then the helpful guy that wrote my vehicle up called me and said "hey I just got a call from safelite quality control virgil denying the fact they did damage to your vehicle and they're not liable for repairs". So then I had to get camera footage of the incident, send it in to PROVE they did damage to my car. Ridiculous. After that the safelite quality control manager Virgil, called the shop and apologized saying please move forward with the quote. Again...Ridiculous. Fast forward to the shop completing the paint work, replacing additional parts, and then safelite came and replaced the windshield... I get it back from the shop, go home, go back into work the next morning, turn on my A/C while driving and I get a face Full of glass. I had my workplace inspect it and on top of this whole mess??? Safelite left so much broken glass in all my vents. I then called to have it addressed, and Virgil told me safelite is not responsible for cleaning up the broken glass. Now im stuck taking care of this myself???? SAVE YOUR TIME, AND MONEY. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Talk to Ryan at Safelite. Super friendly, professional and took care of me as described when I set up the appointment with Progressive. It did take about 2 hours for the windshield replacement, however, they did a great job were ALL friendly and accommodating. Always will be back to see Ryan and the crew. Thanks Gents! read more

I dropped my car off to have the windshield replaced and the software recalibrated. Safelite did not tell me it would take all day, when I called for an updated estimate time at 4 PM they couldn't give me one. The technician called me back half an hour later with an updated time. They did not finish with my car until 6 PM. The technicians were very polite and professional. read more

WOW, just wow! (Not in a good way). Had a scheduled appointment for a windshield replacement. When I walked in and up to the desk, I was not greeted. Like, not at all. I felt like an inconvenience or nuisance to the 2 older associates. After discussing my service I was told that what the deductible was, but the dollar amount was different than what I was quoted in an email. I asked if they could double check prior to picking up my car and was told "I don't know who sent you that email but your deductible is X amount". I informed both grumpy associates that it was in an email from Safelite. Again, they said they don't know who sent the email (gah!). Basically, poor to non-existent customer service. The 2 stars is for the associate that actually worked on my car not for the abysmal customer service. If I were to rate customer service alone, there would be 0 stars. read more

People are very grumpy when they take their cars in for service, I witnessed this when I brought my car in BUT I don't see why they direct it at Safelite employees. There was construction going on and it was really loud when I was there, but I was okay with it. The woman (Stacey I think was her name?) working the desk was very friendly to people (even when they were jerks) and was trying her best to deal with the noise disruption and do her job. Everyone there was really friendly (employees), apologized for the noise and in general I don't think I saw one grumpy employee. Parking isn't the best there, but they tell you to arrive early (which I did) to make sure you get a spot. If you have an 8am appointment, I recommend getting there at 7:45am and just hanging out in your car until they open. The only reason that I dropped down a star is that the work wasn't done properly and it needs to be addressed again. I'm okay with it, not grumpy but am noting that as it's my review experience. When I called about my issue, the man I spoke to was very friendly and had me send in photos of the windshield where I saw the problem. I'm confident that they will take care of it promptly. read more

The only reason I awarded one star is because I can't award none. I've had very good experiences with Safelite in the past which is why I picked Safelite, again, this time to replace the windshield on my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Never again; I've discovered their commercials and advertising to be very misleading. AFTER the windshield was installed, I was informed by the tech he could not calibrate the "smart glass" used in many cars for crash detection/prevention and lane departure guidance. I was told I would need to take my car to a dealer for calibration because the safety system has a "lock" that prevented him access to complete the calibration. Smart glass windshields have been around a few years now. I find it hard to believe that Safelite isn't aware they aren't able to calibrate the systems. I should have been told before ANY work was done on my vehicle. I'll never choose Safelite for services again, and I'll advise others to do the same. read more

Receptionist was rude. They were supposed to replace AND recalibrate my windshield. They only replaced it and told me I needed to go to the dealership to get a recalibration. They didn't say "sorry". I don't even think they tried to recalibrate it. Never go here. Go directly to the dealership or another place that cares. This is NOT the place for customer service. I did the quote thing but there is no option for warranty work. So I called and the warranty option only refers to their warranty. I tried for about 8 minutes and finally they said they were sending me to the agent queue. As soon as I was transferred I got a message that said "we cannot take your call" and it disconnected me. read more

I had a break in my windshield. Which normally wouldn't be bad but I have the "eyes" for my variable cruise control and that needs to be calibrated when you swap out the windshield. This posed a problem but Safelite was up to the challenge! They had my car in and being worked on immediately! Plus the kinda lady that calls to confirm your appointment is so nice! read more

I was there this morning for a 9:00AM appointment. One person waiting for her car (Ms. X). I was originally going to pick it up when finished, but decided to wait. At 9:30, another customer walks in and says she is early for her appointment. I watch as her call gets pulled into the service bay as mine is still in the spot I left it. Just before 10:00 someone comes to give Ms. X her keys and she leaves. At 10:00 another customer walks in and says they are right on time. I watch as their car goes into the service bay while my car is in the same spot. I see a couple of service people come to the desk and return to the service area. I go outside to take a call outside and see that there is an empty service bay and I decide it is time to get my keys and go. I went to the desk after some shuffling of papers looking for my keys on the desk the guy goes to the service area comes back and hands them to me. No apology, excuse or explanation. I say "thanks" and leave. I called E & C Auto Glass out of Sterling Heights area and the person Marc came to my house and did the repair in an hour. He also charged a lot less. Maybe it would have been different if Satellite came to my house to do the repair, but in the end, I am glad I did not pay ahead of time and I same a lot of money and supported a small business. Not to mention I have a Satellite story to share in a commercial if they want. Satellite - No repair No replace. read more

Safelite scheduled service for a windshield repair and gave me 12-5 window for their arrival time. No one showed up for the appointment. No one called to say they weren't coming. The shop rescheduled for a different day the following week without calling me. I have a heavy work schedule so I rarely get a day off to get this done. Safelite customer service was not very accommodating to work around my schedule even after not showing up for my scheduled appointment. read more

Worse service!!!! They don't keep you updated on how your car is, they took my car out after the windshield was put In to get my car recalibrated and ran my car on empty after, they must of drove my car 50 miles which is ridiculous, and the car still was not recalibrated. Also they returned my car with low tire pressure when I did not bring my car in with low tire pressure, and I learned they left me with a flat tire, horrible customer service, horrible service in general, I do not recommend safelite at all. read more
