Which caused significant damage to the front bumper. I'm glad I have comprehensive insurance to cover the repairs. The shop recommended by Progressive was the local Abra Auto-body. The expected repair was to be completed by Friday, March 22nd. I picked it up on the 22nd. I noticed Abra painted over the damage on my bumper rather than repairing it. Bringing it to Abra's attention, pointing out the poor quality workmanship, they said they will fix it, but it won't be fixed until the Wednesday the 27th, and of course they won't be working on it over the weekend. I called my local Progressive Insurance Rep, Steven Allen, and left a voicemail. On Monday, calling Abra, I requested a loaner vehicle, because I could not get to work, to which they responded, "We don't offer that". I made several calls to Steven Allen, Progressive Rep., and had to leave several voicemails. I also called the Progressive 800 number, and they referred me back to Steven Allen, Progressive Rep. After several hours, Steven Allen, Progressive Rep., called me. He mentioned he did see my vehicle, and agreed that part of it wasn't done correctly. He also stated Abra didn't repair the other damage, because "obviously it wasn't from the deer"; but that he's paying out of his own pocket to get it done. He also mentioned that Abra doesn't have a loaner ready until Wednesday the 27th. All the damage was from the deer. Abra and Steven Allen, Progressive Rep., should have kept me updated. On Wednesday the 27th, I called Abra. Now, Abra states that my vehicle will be delayed until Friday the 29th. Keep in mind, I was never updated by Steven Allen, Progressive Rep., and there was still no loaner vehicle available. Abra also mentioned to call Steven Allen to get me a loaner vehicle. Of course I called Steven Allen, Progressive Rep., and left him voicemail, again. So, now, it's Friday, I went to Abra to pick up my vehicle, and they informed me that it wasn't completed, and they're closing in 15 minutes. Of course, now, I'm pretty upset. The pictures attached show the damage, and the quality of the repair job from Abra AutoBody of Wisconsin Rapids. I'm still here, with no car. Not able to go to my job, and not getting paid. Why am I doing all the work that Progressive should be doing? Progressive needs to help me out.

I wanted to find a good, quality body shop with a decent turnaround time and loaner cars. I knew of an old family friend nearby, but I also knew that it would be a while before we got our car back, so I started searching the Internet locally and found Precision Collision in Westfield. Impressed by their website and the looks of their shop, I figured they had to be doing something right. I was even more impressed when the Geico damage inspector in Stevens Point knew this fellow by name and said, "oh, yeah, they do great work!". SInce the Sequoia is my wife's car, I was worried about a loaner car as well. Our vehicle was scheduled for work on a specific day, my wife was given a very nice late model VW as a loaner and we were told when the car would be ready. And it was ready, exactly when we were told it would be. And it was done beautifully, and the price was exactly as quoted. All OEM parts were used whenever possible as well. You can't ask for much more than that. Highly recommended.

When trusting your medical issues with professionals, you expect them to verify information before…read moreworking on you. Like DOB and name. This ensures that everything matches to limit harm. I have the same expectations when it comes to working on my vehicles. Safelite this morning failed to verify information and has destroyed my trust in them. When anyone schedules service you give them your VIN so they can order correct parts and verify the correct vehicle on service. This morning when the tech was scheduled to be here, I had not heard anything. I proceeded outside and did not see the van. I pulled out my phone to see if I had a missed call and noticed I missed two text messages. The first message was that the tech was getting started and the second was a pre-authorization receipt. I proceeded to call the local shop and asked if this was an error. They seemed confused and quiet. They stated they would call the tech and check in. A few moments later the tech called asking me to step outside as he needed to speak with me. I asked him if he was next to my car. He stated he was, and I informed him that he was not at my car. He then stated that he thinks he is working on the wrong car. The local shop then called me and asked how I would like to handle this. I stated to cancel the appointment due to the tech did not even verify the VIN correctly. I was told that the tech did verify the VIN. I challenged that was not possible as the VIN of my vehicle matched the receipt and I was next to my car. They stated back "Well he checked it." I asked if they believed that I was lying and they got upset. I was then asked if I wanted them to come down and work on my vehicle, which I declined as their tech could not even complete a VIN check. Needless to say, this is unprofessional and very dangerous. I stated several times about the vehicle they are working on was wrong. They were working on someone's car without permission. These statements were dismissed by Safelite in 2 of the phone calls. So, buyers beware and remember the importance of verifying information and the person being selected to work on your vehicle.
