A few minutes later, the same individual called again to confirm the appointment for Sunday, September 7. He asked if the Sunday lesson could be moved to a later time, but I informed him that was not possible. He assured me that the lesson would remain at the originally scheduled time. Approximately an hour later, I received a voicemail from a woman stating that the Sunday lesson would need to be rescheduled due to a conflict. I immediately called back and spoke with the same male representative that confirmed my appointment earlier. I explained that I could not reschedule and that the lesson needed to remain as planned. He responded "fine" and then disconnected the call. When I called back to ask if he had hung up on me, he ended the call again. On a third attempt, I requested the manager's name and email address, and he hung up a third time. This behavior is highly unprofessional and unacceptable, particularly from a company that requires customers to pay over $600 for driving lessons.Hanging up on a customer multiple times, instead of addressing a legitimate concern, reflects very poorly on the business. I am extremely dissatisfied with the treatment I received from your male employee, at 2:48 pm today, and want manager (Ariel) to be aware of this incident. If this is representative of how customer service issues are handled, I would strongly caution others before choosing this company for driving instruction.

Everything is straightforward as described. The program is broken into 7 lessons, each with a short quiz at the end. The final test is 25 questions. Everything is easy and most choices on the multiple choice questions are obvious. You go at your own pace and the program saves your progress. The material is written well and is fairly interesting. Depending upon your reading speed it might take a 2-4 hours to complete all 7 sections. This is a great choice for completing traffic school.

I'm a Belgian national who was looking to get his California DL. A friend of mine (also foreign…read morenational) went through the same process 2 years ago and had recommended me to pass the exam at the Culver City DMV and book a 1 hour driving lesson with A1 Driving school right before the exam. The goal was to pass the exam with the driving school car. As a foreign national this is an interesting option as you do need to be accompanied by a CA Driver license holder and have a car with valid insurance/registration. She also told me to ask for Frank :-) On May 12, 2022 I did exactly that. I arrived at the school and was quickly introduced to Frank, my brand new instructor. He immediately let me sit in the car and made sure everything was set correctly - mirrors, seat, etc. for a comfy experience. He then started with the basics for the non-driving part of the exam (i.e. (hand-)signals, lights, defrosters, etc.) and we quickly made our way to the streets. I had prepared a whole list of questions regarding situations I expected to encounter during the exam. Frank was very patient and took the time to answer all of them while practicing. He also gave me excellent tips on safe behavior that examiners would be looking for (e.g. signaling on time, when and how often to look over your shoulder, tips for the backing-up maneuver, etc.) and some pointers on the tricky parts of the Culver City roads. All of which I applied during my exam, which I passed with flying colors! Before getting in line at the DMV, Frank took a quick glance at my "driver permit", which I got after passing my written exam 2.5 months ago. He noticed it had a vision restriction (as I was wearing contacts at the time) and asked about it. I had completely missed that restriction (100% my bad, I know), so I told him I had recently gone through LASIK and no longer wore contacts. Frank told me to have that restriction removed when talking to the DMV, which they did after a quick 10-sec vision test. If Frank hadn't noticed it, I would now be driving with a restricted license and get a fine each time I get pulled over. Great catch Frank :-) So overall amazing experience with A1 Driving and Traffic School in Culver City. I absolutely recommend them. Even if you're super confident (I've had a Belgian DL for over 15 years), the extra tips and tricks you get here are absolutely worth it!

Not only my daughter's instructor was an accomplished,nice,patient and very knowledgeble, but they went of their way to monitor openings in the appointment schedule of multiple DMV around the area in order to find her an appointment for the driving test quickly and around her schedule. I would highly recommend this driving school for teaching your minor children to drive properly. Overall, a great experience! Thank you!

I am upset with the quality of attention that I got the bike that was given to me was not in working condition. I had a two day course the first day. I don't know what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't this. This is the first place I ever tried but when I tell you, the instructors were smoking well in class very unprofessional. I spoke out multiple times that the bike that I had was giving me trouble and I was just told that I have to learn to feel it. I wish I could have recorded my experience, but unfortunately that's not the case with helmets on. It's definitely hard to hear soft-spoken voices. It makes it hard to listen to what they're saying on top of everything. I kept having difficulties on this raggedy Harley bike at some point. I pulled to the side and asked the instructor to please check it. He was very rude and was making it sound like it was just me but when he tried to turn on the bike himself, it would not turn on. He was basically telling me to bang up the equipment for it to work. I saw other people that passed their test, even though they did much worse than me and I absolutely feel it was because I pointed out that the equipment that they gave me was not improper working condition. I was told that I can pay extra to redo the test. I don't think so. I feel like I was taking advantage of. I definitely didn't get what I expected. I do not recommend this place. My husband was excited when he was taking an international flight and saw our son in the DirecTV commercial. He is now 25 and has an established career and since has moved on.... Now, we have our 11 year old daughter enrolled in SCSOPA! She is enjoying every single minute here. I believe this may be her second home. She enjoys the acting classes, the voice overs, teen runway, on-camera scene practices, etc. She loves it, loves it, LOVES it!!! To add on, she has made some great friends already in the 2 months that she has been here. She just participated in a fashion show, so this place keeps her BUSY! The teachers are awesome. They are encouraging and kind. All of the instructors have professional backgrounds and it's wonderful that they are sharing it with our kids. There are agents that come weekly looking for talent. SCSOPA is preparing her for a shot in the industry! We also see her confidence building. She has met with a couple agents and is wanted by both. We will see;). Mike, the owner is warm, hilarious, and full of energy. Mike and his team are passionate about the kids and their future in show biz.
