I have used this company for my last 2 BLS recertification skills testing over a 4 year period and can vouch for how great the company is! I took the online, AHA BLS renewal course which was very comprehensive with an updated video format that included SIMS scenarios. I found the course to be very thorough and well done. After completing that portion, I then signed up for the hands-on, skills testing at this testing center. The instructor was knowledgeable, demonstrated skills correctly, clearly explained what he expected us to demonstrate, & moved along at a quick pace. It did help that all 7 individuals present that day were competent on their skills, knowledge, and didn't hold the class up. We started on time and finished much faster than I had imaging it would take. I recommend this renewal testing to anyone in the health care field if your facility doesn't offer certification themselves. read more

This was actually a great class (healthcare provider cpr). Taught by TJ and he kept things lively and informative. I appreciated his real world examples and practical advice. I've taken a lot of these classes over the years and have seen a concerning level of apathy in some of the instructors but not here. TJ made sure everyone had practice and was getting the right technique while keeping things enjoyable and moving along. I really appreciated that. You never know but that one of those folks could be working on my loved ones and I want them to do it right. He was also very knowledgeable about what he was teaching (another area I've found concerning with other locations/instructors). It was nice to feel confident in the instructor's abilities. The classroom was comfortable and the equipment functional. There was plenty of equipment for each person to practice on. I usually dread spending an afternoon doing the cpr renewal every two years but this was a positive and pain free experience. Glad they have a Sunday option available to work with my busy schedule. I needed to get CPR certified, for my upcoming grad school program and this BLS class was awesome. I had been trained in CPR a few times for previous jobs/volunteering positions, but this class was a great refresher (and great for anyone taking it for the first time too). Karl was an awesome teacher for the BLS class. He was funny and enthusiastic, which made the class go by super quickly and allowed us to learn all the information without feeling bored or overwhelmed. Registration was also super quick. After my second time taking a BLS CPR course here I realized that this place is exceptional. Both of the teachers I had were charismatic and engaging. I appreciated that they were EMTs by trade so they could provide real life examples and clearly had plenty of experience to speak from. This time I had TJ as a teacher and he even managed to get me excited about learning CPR by emphasizing the importance of our role in the community to keep people alive until the ambulance can arrive. I like the way that he highlighted what was important and made the process seem doable. Maybe it was because this was the 2nd time I've taken the course, but I feel more confident about my skills now, and I think I'm starting to get it. I also appreciate the way the business is run: allowing for last minute cancellations, providing a cell phone charging station, and offering the class at a reasonable price. I had to find a class last minute yesterday and I when I came across this class I wasn't sure how good it would be, but being desperate I didn't care. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The course was very good. Knowledgable instructor, friendly, efficient and I feel like he did a nice job of teaching and I walked away with a good understanding of the changes. Don't be fooled by the looks of the location. Although it is upstairs from a nail salon in a shopping center, the room was plenty big and comfortable. Did a class just before giving birth and loved that it included infant CPR as well as adult CPR. The class went by in no time and the instructor's way of making this serious topic fun at the same time as very informative and educational helps me to remember the training. I took the cpr, AED, and first aid class. I thought the next 5 hours of my life were going to be so boring and take forever. AJ was my instructor and he was AWESOME. He made the whole class laugh. This is my first yelp and I never yelp, so this should speak volumes about this place. I made the mistake of not thinking about the date and chose to take the CPR/ First Aid class during labor day weekend. When I realized my mistake I was pretty bummed out that I couldn't hang out with my friends, rescheduling was not a option. Got to class and the instructor AJ was very friendly and helpful. Made the 5 hour course enjoyable. Hands down AJ is one of the best instructors I have had and very knowledgeable and funny. Although I forgot to get my free key chain/ breathing mask for checking in on Facebook it was an excellent class. Tine and money well spent. Thanks AJ. Will be back in 2 years to renew. read more

Awesome CPR/AED certification course. I was very much expecting a long and likely boring 3 hours but instructor JP made the time fly by. He was extremely knowledgeable, witty and very trustworthy of his skills given his background as a rescue diver for the Navy. He made sure everyone learned all of the proper techniques in a way that didn't put anyone on the spot or feel uncomfortable or out of place. Training was excellent. Classes small. Fully stocked with up to date equipment for training. Instructor JP Guevara was very knowledgeable. Offered tips for techniques and catchy phases to remember breathing sequences. He rotated amongst the students, offering suggestions or approval of techniques. He encouraged team effort in 2 person assist CPR. Overall, minimal stress, quiet and pro-active learning environment through video and books. Easy check in and check out. Love this place, went two years ago and it has only improved. Will go back in two more years for renewal. Available parking with coffee shop near by and Trader Joe's, as an added bonus. read more
