Then he said if it's urgent to retake the class. That's ridiculous, why would I take the class again it's a lifetime certificate. He responded saying now he wants $250 CASH ONLY. OSHA 30 is available by other vendors that will treat you like a customer. Jim the owner is a very greedy and not reputable person. He's only out for his money obviously. My GPS took me to a slightly run down neighborhood. I found the address and first thought that I had completely goofed on the address. The dwelling was a one family home with an old car in the driveway. All the windows were covered with sheets or blinds save the living room window which had an opening. The room was untidy and there was a litle dog lying on a chair. I rang the doorbell three times. No answer. If I had not seen two outgoing letters in the mailbox with the business return address and a document box with half a brick in it labelled CPR/FA instructor, I would have been 100% sure I was at the wrong place. A retired firefighter named Roger runs the place out of his home office. He's quite chatty over the phone but he is straightforward and through when he does the training. I came here to get my BLS skills check-off after doing the online course through AHA. I would come back again when I am due for renewal for the following reasons: - Convenience: located nearby, you come for what you need to do and you're done! You also get your card the same day. A definite plus to me since I needed my certification done ASAP. - Flexibility: Just talk to Roger and see when your schedule will work with his. If I took the usual class or got checked-off for skills elsewhere, I would have to wait a while for the next available check-off/class. I was checked off for skills here the same day I called. - Small class size: this is not a big company so it's usually just you or one other person. - Value: probably because he runs it out of his home, it's significantly cheaper to have your certification done here.
