The shelves were very empty. I had to buy the smaller size of a local more expensive brand. They also didn't sell any shelf stable milk. No specific department stood out (some grocery stores have grand floral areas, or fruit options etc). The interesting: We got Fat Boy ice cream sandwiches here that were tasty. They also have recycling cans outside, including for plastic bags. If you're new to the island, as I am, you need to buy dump ticket books and this is one of the locations where you can buy them. You need them so you can drop off residential waste and recycling at the dump. Go to customer service and they can ring you up there and give you the ticket; the regular registers don't have them. $60 for a book of 15 tickets.

Vegetable department is exceptional for a big chain store I think they carry some vegetables that you just don't see everywhere. The floral department is also very nice and the Butcher department has a broad selection of meats of what I would take for the very high-quality. When I moved here I didn't expect to be able to find ground veal and meet as nice as they have. Most of the people there are very friendly and very helpful. It's my go to grocery store in Chester.

I don't mind you ASKING what I got, but you DO NOT TOUCH THE FOOD! Then he had the audacity to say WOW! when I told him I will either get new donuts; you have NOT touched, or I will go somewhere else. He said I could not get new ones. So I left. I get it, it's really early, the store & pumps are empty, you don't want to be disturbed. With that kind of "customer service" he'll always have an an empty store without interruptions. I will never return.
