Awesome grocery. Huge selection of items. The bakery is the best in town for a grocery store. I don't use the app so no comment other than why would you need an app to to go a grocery store? This store also carries items that I cannot find elsewhere. Best example is artichoke bottoms. Much prefereable to artichoke hearts in cooking. The employees are very nice and helpful. Our go-to grocery store in town. If you have a problem with the Safeway app, to save time and grief, I invite you to call the customer service number directly. The app issue is not the in store employee's fault. However, I hope that this helps somebody out there. Was the app issue that added 20 minutes to my trip worth it? Regardless, I will have it addressed eventually and would love to save you/other neighbors 20 min or so by calling in to the customer service line for the app rather than trying to complete this type of task in person during a grocery visit. It's not their fault, but after talking to three people and having them pause to question my inquiry about an in-store coupon that I could not scan because my app wasn't working , I realized that other people can go without the coupons and just move on. I don't have that type of budget so I was willing to wait. From check out line, to guest services (trouble shoot steps delete and reload app; called customer service and had a convo with through the guest services employee; login with number; login with email; login on browser 1 with email; login browser 2 with email; yet all ended in an error message and the customer service rep on the phone gave me a case number... they'll call or email me later...) and then back to the checkout for another halt to my shopping trip- although guest services told me to use the sheet she wrote down the coupons the cashier needed to manually type in - I was questioned and went through similar steps to get our $5 off of our groceries. read more

This store is ridiculous. They don't have a coffee listed on their aisle menu from A-to-Z when I brought this up to an employee at this store she said well the sign Old give me a break. Coffee is not listed on your A-to-Z menu hanging in the store, they don't have very much organic produce. It's arranged not intelligently like this store needs about a business and a King Soopers superstore needs to replace it. I can't stand shopping in Safeway anymore. They're rude. Not bad for a grocery delivery service. I've tried them all and haven't been completely satisfied with any. Safeway does a better job than most at providing most of the items, picking good quality produce, filling orders quickly, doing it all with happy friendly employees, and the prices are very good. I will change this to 5 stars if I can get four orders fulfilled 100%. Note for newbies: No grocery delivery service will fulfill 100% of your order, which is frustrating if you are cooking from a recipe and really need a certain ingredient. I've learned to pick up at the store (vs getting it delivered) and check the itemized list they give you before I leave the parking lot. If the shopper marked anything as out of stock, I walk into the store and find them myself. Yes, it's frustrating, but at least I'm only going in for a couple of items instead of the torture of an entire list for a big family. read more

everyone at this safeway is so nice. i'd like to shoutout a gentleman in produce in particular who searched through the back and came to find me in the store when he found the lemongrass i was looking for. i wish i had gotten his name, but he said to another customer that he work everyday but tuesday and saturday. safeway if you see this, you need to give him a fat raise. also, the safeway selection has been really excellent recently. great place :) read more

A very frustrating shopping trip! I was looking for packaged cheese....the real basic stuff for tacos. The 3 people that I asked all told me a different aisle to find it. Turns out they were all wrong! Lo and behold, unbeknownst to almost everyone, the cheese-along with sour cream and yogurt is in the back and you have to ask an employee to get it for you. I get that they're remodeling, but some kind of a sign letting customers know that they have to ask would be helpful!!!!!!!! read more

If this Safeway were closer to home it would be my go-to location! I visit when in the area, typically on Friday's for the CSU discount, and have always found this location to be well-stocked in all areas, from fresh produce to clearance items and clearance meat. This Safeway store has really deteriorated in cleanliness and management seems to be absent. The dairy case where milk and coffee creamer is shelved smells like something is rotten or dead every time I open the door to make a selection. It rarely has much on the shelves in the milk section and looking at the cooler interior it's very dirty. The egg cooler is nasty with broken eggs and opened cartons and often has no eggs. Not sure what the problem is but the general manager seems too important to care. read more

They have the basics...about 75% of the time of the time. But due to their smaller footprint or other reasons, they don't have the largest variety. If you need something specific, like a particular ingredient for a recipe, I don't recommend this store. The Safeway on Taft and Drake is a lot better for that kind of stuff. read more

i generally only come into safeways when i am doing instacart. i am not really a fan of the layout of the stores in general. i dont find them to be overly user friendly. they were out of a fair amount of what my customer was needing for instacart sadly. the employees were friendly however though and the store was very clean. read more

I am very upset with Safeway and its management. My husband purchased a $300 Safeway Gift Card for his 90 year old father for Father's Day. My father-in-law recently lost the use of his right arm during a surgery. He lives in Tucson, Arizona. He does not have or use a cell phone. When my father-in-law went down to Safeway in Tucson to use the gift card the number was somehow not reading properly. My father-in-law claimed that it was wrapped in very tight plastic and he had trouble opening the package, thus damaging the card. The card can never be used as it is damaged. Obviously, the card has not been used. The $300 will never be redeemed! I spoke to a female manager initially and she was very nice. She researched and found the original purchase and our credit card information. She gave me a "ticket number" and said we could expect a refund within 30 days. We have the proof of the purchase of the card. When I contacted Safeway Help Desk and gave them my ticket number they said that without a photo of the gift card, its packaging and the receipt there is no way they could even research this. So, apparently, because my 90 year old father-in-law does not have a cell phone or the ability to day any of the things asked we are out $300!!! When I spoke to Gary, your store manager, he was not helpful at all. I am disgusted! To think that a large company like Safeway would not give us a refund when the card cannot be used is HORRIBLE!!! The female manager told me that the store has been having a lot of problems with the cards since they started putting them in "impossible to open" plastic. I cannot believe your team would not help us further with this matter. This is a SCAM. We will NEVER shop at Safeway again and I plan to repeat this story over and over on every platform I can. This Safeway is considerably better than the one downtown. However on the level of service? About the same. With prepaid debit cards which they sell here very few people seem to know how to make their registers work to reload more money on them. Not only that it is expensive to keep that card going! During the day you can go to customer service but once customer service uses up their banker's hours for the day you are on your own to see if any cashiers know how to reload your card! You are much better off to get a prepaid debit card at Wally World where it is cheaper and the cashiers know how to load their debit cards. If not they usually can find someone quickly that does. It is also cheaper to keep the card up as well! I still like Safeway but their prices are high but it is the only place where I can find Religious Experience hot sauce which I adore! read more

I called the bakery to inquire about birthday cakes. A female answered the phone and then hung up. I called a second time, someone picked up the phone, and then hung up. I looked up the stores main number and called that. A guy answered, and I asked if he could hear me; which was a sincere question, as I was giving the girl who hung up on me twice the benefit of the doubt by thinking maybe my cell phone was messing up and they couldn't hear me. His response was, " yeah, I can hear you fine, we are just really busy. So what do you need man?" What I need is to not be hung up on multiple times, and then when I am finally able to get through to somebody, not be spoken to with an impatient voice and asked, " what do you need man?" If this is supposed to be a legitimate operation, the employees there need to at least act like they care enough about the paying customers to not simply hang up on them when they are busy. If these people are too impatient to be decent to the customers, they either need to be retrained or replaced. Pretty sad excuse for an operation going on over there read more

I usually go to king soopers but every now and then I'll go to Safeway for groceries that soopers was out of . I think their produce is not as good as KS but they are always in stock . They seemed to be understaff and there is only 1 checkout lane open every time I go . Staff is ok but not as kind or friendly as king soopers . read more

if i could give zero i would. i was humiliated and treated like absolute garbage and was told by the manager stephen that he needed to see my dogs papers andni didnt have thwm on me so i opened the freezer to grab my ice cream andnhe was standing over me and was going to call the cops on me if i didnt leace right then. my service dog registration will be written below to look up if you would like . first off the embarassment i went through last night being threatened with police because i was legally in the right to have my animal whom is a service dog and didnt make any sort of noise or act in a way that gave him the right to throw ia out i was polite until he basically stood over me and said no i couldnt grab my ice cream i needed to leave as he waltzed me in front of all his staff as they stared at me and he by law cannot request to see my dogs papers we arent requirwd to have them at a moments notice to whip out and i have a disability just cuz he couldnt see it doesnt mean i need to humiliate myself further and explain that in detail on here. if someone from safe way would like to disciss this id be happy to let them know why i have a service dog and how extremely degrading i felt i went hone crying without my ice cream with oyk. t our other grocwries becuz a manager felt he knew better how dare he assume and if hes a manager he should know what he is allowed to ask me. none of which he did. i would have been more than willing to explain to him why i have a service animal explain what she doea for me and even shared my disabilty with him i love to show off my lovely lady .. he said let me see the dogs papers and mumbled something about me speaking in spabish to my husband thats it was america and that he was going to call the police. nice one safeway.. ill never feel welcome in that store again the one that is walking distance to my house and the one that i loved going to but being treated to the point of tears is and was so uneccessarily hurtful i am so upset that i wish and i should let it go but if i do it leaves stephen the right to feel like he is the law and hes not if my dog would have acted in a ereatic or obnoxioous manner i would have understood none of which occured at anytime . handler: amy bahena-vital service animal: chloe registration id #1535281951 read more

First off the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it's a little bit price then where I do all my regular grocery shopping. Though when we moved here in September we did find they have the selection and tasting meat. I am also happy to say they do not add "pink slime" or any other additives to their meat and that is the answer I got straight from the butcher. All the meat is carved on property and nothing is added to the ground meat! With the crap the government will let go into our food I am glad to know I have a butcher who knows and take pride in the meat he sells! read more

Okay the store is good, but the danish from the bakery are as good as you can find in Fort Collins. I'm talking about the big pack from the bakery-- it comes in a rectangular clear plastic container and costs abour $4.99-$5.99. They are fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. The only thing they could do to improve them would be to toss the apple danish and instead include 4 cheese danish. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. This is the BEST pharmacy. The pharmacists are really nice here, they go out of their way to help. It's also nice to see the same staff rather than a revolving door of pharmacists. This way they get to know you. I could not recommend them any higher. read more
