So Esh's has a great concept! I love that you can get discounted food and bargains. The prices some of them are good. some of them are comparable to king soopers. some might be more than the grocery store. So just be sure you know your price points when you are going in. I find the place a little bit overwhelming as it is kind of like a good will for food. There is kind of the same level of organization as you would find at a good will. The fresh produce is what definitely you should watch the prices on as that seems to fluctuate on cheaper to more expensive depending on what they have. The meat is frozen so you would need to use it fairly quickly. I have found some good deals there however. read more

Amazing discount grocery store! Worth living in Loveland just to shop here. Amazing prices on slightly expired foods. Sometimes food just before expiry. The fresh fruit is hit or miss if good or not. Vegetables are large and fresh. Spinach, salad, cucumbers, squash and zucchini's are staple items that always taste fresh. Lots of vegan selections as well. All the condiments you can ever wish for and discounted vitamins and supplements galore. Lots of great skincare products as well. Tea and coffee lovers paradise with large selections at 1/2 price. Can always find new things to try and taste at super low cost. Selection new every time I visit. If you see something you like, get it as may not be there on return. Now you can even buy online!! I'm updating my review. We had heard from friends that changes were made and they were right. We gave them another chance and what a complete change. Staff were welcoming and friendly a complete change from the previous experiences. We have not seen the problem staff back here in the several trips we have made back. The produce at the store is always fresh and abundant. The staff are friendly and helpful. Decent prices especially on some of the organic seconds products and their meat and dairy. Esh's is a wonderful store for bargains & specialty items! I've found so many different surprising brands and products here in just a few visits and am always impressed by their massive selection and deals on products that are either recently expired or still good for several months. They have a huge selection of mainstream and unique gluten free brands which makes shopping with celiac fun! read more

Our family has been shopping at Esh's for several years and we were sad when they decided to close the Greeley location. The new location in Loveland is really nice. Everything is bright and clean and everything is very organized. Yes, some items may be recently expired or are close to expiration date but that doesn't bother me. They have a nice selection of produce and often get in organic, imported and specialty items. They have different things every time you shop so it's fun to see what they might have in stock. Esh's helps keep us within our budget. read more

I really like this place but I must say I have some mixed feelings. They have a lot of unique items you won't find in other stores and they are typically cheaper. The one thing I dislike is that most things they are selling are expired or about to expire. A good company guarantees it's good until the expire date after that date it's a bit risky to eat it. I have always loved shopping at Esh's until today. We were in the store shopping and a man and his SO were shopping and were not wearing masks. He was wearing a white coat with writing all over it that said he would not wear a mask and no one could make him. He and his SO were coughing all over. It was disgusting! We left without buying anything and I called to complain and was told he can do what he wants-The store could be sued!! This is ridiculous. I am a nurse and that couple were not debilitated or ill. They just don't want to respect anyone else and do what they want. I emailed the owner my concerns, but have not received any answer. And then again, there are some things there I've found that I'd never be able to find at the bigger grocery chains. My best find on this visit? Today we shopped at Esh's market in Loveland and were disappointed that they did not enforce customers to wear masks. Colorado mandates mask wearing in grocery stores. A woman, the only one I saw without as mask clearly shopped and was not required to wear a mask. That tells us Ech management does not care for the health and safety of its employees or customers. Commenting to cashier about it, she said that she personally does not agree with mask wearing. We will shop elsewhere where the management and staff care for our health and safety. read more

I really have no clue where this food even comes from. Pre packaged items look like leftovers from a UN mission that they couldn't unload. Produce is indiscernible while meat looks questionable and they didn't even have any cow based dairy. Goats milk as my only option. really? Nearly non existent staff, long lines. Although it varies from week to week (and even day to day), they carry a great variety of foods, at generally great prices. Prices have gone up the past couple of years, but they have everywhere else, as well. Staff is pretty average, but generally helpful when needed. The store is clean, parking is ample without being excessive... A good community asset! read more

Esh's is a remarkable store. But only the most serious, or desperate, or enterprising, or adventurous will enter its doors. The store is set back from the street in a worn area of Evans, flanked in a way to suggest it is a center of pained mediocrity. But mediocre it is not! Esh's seems to thrive on dated products and end of lots. You will find a few familiar foods. But you will also find unfamiliar, strange, exotic foods calling out to you in strange tongues: Indian, Russian, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, Caribbean. The last visit we picked up some Reed avocados. Most grocers would call these "really large Hass," but they would be wrong. There are more varieties of fruits and vegetables than most produce managers are aware of. In addition to what I am certain were Reed, on this day we also found some avocados from Mission (see missionpro dot com) who provide what are arguably some of the best Hass avocados available. We learned that there are sub-varieties of Hass, such as Flor Loca and Aventajada. Although I do not know which sub-varieties these Mission avocados were, they reminded me of the California avocados of several decades ago when, I believe, California was able to keep up with the United States avocado demand without the need for foreign imports.. We also picked up some curry, British mustard, canned okra, exotic teas that seem to have had poor marketing but whose quality is as good as any other tea. We decided to take a chance with the callaloo. We had no idea what that was, which made it all the more irresistible to me. I'm a food experimenter, so we tried it. Well, okay, it wasn't so great; I had to add a number of extras to it, but once I did, it was passable. Everyone liked it and it was fun to try it. Visit Esh's, listen to the music, chat with the clerks, and use your culinary imagination. I don't think Evans has a food tax. So if you live in Greeley, and are already paying property tax, tax on water, electric, gas, and other services, tax on virtually everything you buy in the city, and you would like to be able to eat in peace without the government taxing you for that, too, you might go to Evans for at least some of your groceries. We leave Esh's with a full cart, having paid less than half of what we pay for a cart-load of food in Greeley. People have to eat. Food shouldn't be taxed. Next: the Greeley Air Tax. Its purpose: bridge renovation. That makes as much as using the food tax for road repairs and school bonds for summer lunches. Those politicians are just wacko. read more

Love this market! My family are regulars now at this local store in Loveland - just love getting deep discounts on quality, often organic stuff here. Definitely helps us with our food/grocery budget big time! (Thank you Esh's!!) They also offer so much varieties of food products that you've never known or tried before. This place is amazing! I make special trips all the way from Greeley just to come here. I find great deals on gluten free, organic, and non GMO products. Yes most of the items are either expired or getting ready to but that doesn't bother me. They have a great produce selection, deli, bulk foods, refrigerated and frozen section, and fresh canned goods that they make. If you like jam, try their blueberry butter! In addition to the fresh items they carry, they have the expired stuff which is actually pretty fun to go through. It's like a treasure hunt! Candy, canned food, noodles, crackers, chips, beauty products, and household items are just some of the awesome things they have. The store itself is a really nice building that is new, bright, and clean. The staff is so friendly and sweet. I can't say enough good things about Esh's Market. Esh's is great! The customer service is awesome. They get very busy and sometimes you can't find someone right away, but the front desk is very helpful. They refund any product that may have gone bad or is not to your liking. It is worth the drive there to find really good deals. And some days you may not find what you're looking for, but that's part of the experience. Takes patience to wait while people with carts are in your way while they are searching for items, but it makes you slow down and appreciate the business as not your average King Soopers or Whole Foods. Always go there and spend lots of time looking for discontinued sauces and exotic cheeses. Taking your chances on cereals or processed baked goods. THe "seconds" in the produce that you find sometimes may not look as pretty but the quality is sometimes better in the regular stores. I spend double there than I did at the Eisenhower/34 location. But, I miss the deli at the foothills (34) location. This is a bit farther for me, but it's much bigger/ I've been a fan for years! read more
