Separately, but just as important, the expression "excuse me" should also be used when an employee steps directly in front of or suddenly pushes their stock cart in the immediate path of a customer's stride. Being brought to an abrupt stop to be met with only silence and a stare resonates as explicit rudeness. Customer service should always be a priority. :) It's disappointing when the experience feels less than professional. If you're not willing to give the job the respect it deserves, perhaps it's time for a change. Would be three stars, if not for the water that was ponding in the produce section.
