While suffering extreme pain, Safeway was out of my prescription, but managed to scape up a few. Then their supplier was out of stock, so I did without for several days while they got it elsewhere. Today I went back to the Dr. and got a new, different prescription, and guess what? Just got a text: Out of stock and estimated to be ready tomorrow about 1:15pm! Very poorly managed pharmacy. Never answer the phone. When asked, they proudly say they are busy so they don't answer the phones. Nightmare to coordinate between them and the doctors offices. They keep missing prescription orders. They also struggled to process insurance for my parent many times. Ended up switching to Bartell's pharmacy and it's been so much better. read more

The staff and pharmacist are all very nice and try to be helpful however the wait time is ridiculous. Tt appears that there is only 1 pharmacist and 2 assistants working most of the time. They need at least 1 more pharmacist to ensure that customers do not need to wait for several hours to fill their prescriptions. Even though they are very short staffed, there are adds to encourage people to receive their immunizations there and have their pet medications there as well. This pharmacy is big enough to have 1 more pharmacist and assistant. To the manager - please value the staff you have and give them the extra support they need to do their jobs! read more

The pharmacist in Sammamish Safeway is Amazing. Her name is Himani and she really helped me out with my prescription. She showed so much compassion for what she does, it was so refreshing. I am a disabled veteran and had some questions regarding my medications and she went above and beyond. Apparently my insurance would not cover one of my medications and she called doctor to find an alternative. What an great asset to this store!!! read more

All staff are nice except one disastrous pharmacist named Seong Lee. This guy managed to give my 60-year old mother a nightmare experience with a simple covid shot. First he brutally shot her in the arm without rolling up the sleeves completely, making it so brute-force and painful that my mother described it as the most disturbing shot she ever got. Then Seong Lee gave her a vaccine card without filling up any dates. When we asked him to fill in the date, he filled the date as in 2024 instead of 2023 "by mistake". To correct the date, he rewrote a new vaccine card to us, and this time he misspelled her name. So I have to correct the vaccine card by three times in total. I don't believe one with normal IQ can make such idiotic mistakes by so many times if not on purpose. No pharmacy should hire such a rude and unqualified person as pharmacist ever. Everyone else is nice and skilled except this disaster. read more

We regularly visit the Safeway pharmacy in Sammamish Highlands as we live nearby. Last couple of times we had the pleasure of interacting with Himani, the new pharmacy manager. She's very knowledgeable, takes time to respond to questions. Overall a very pleasant experience! Would highly recommend her and the pharmacy. read more

The good news is they *much* faster than the Bartell's on 228th (and Rite Aid in Pine Lake) - can actually drop off and get 10-15 mins later. They also have text notifications when your prescription is ready, which is super convenient. Bad news is that for our prescriptions is was significantly more expensive, even with a manufacturer discount. At Bartell's our scrip is $12. At this Safeway, it was $127. Ouch. read more

The incident happened on August 26th 11:36pm at safeway pharmacy  630 228th av ne smamamish   .Previously I have picked up 6 prescribed medicines before my surgery. on that day after surgery I called to have refills for one of my prescriptions. I was told it does not have any refill. I have repeatedly tried to make HER ( I think her name is ANA ) understand I had a talk the other day on refill and from the pharmacist I know there is refill. The refill is stated underneath. My surgeon also said she wrote me a refill but right now she is in surgery to talk about it. SHE not only refused to listen to what I was trying to make her understand she hang up the phone and used ABUSIVE language. PLEASE CHECK THE PHONE RECORD. She threatened to report me to her manager for harassing and bullshitting !!! she acted as if she has her manager all in her control and her  back no matter what. SHE is extremely unprofessional and so poor in communication. what is already very hard to understand because of her accent. The refill was for nausea. I was by then very nauseated with no medicine on hand. My husband had to go with a copy of the prescription and sort it out. My doctor office also tried to help them understand. Though at the end they had to refill it but ANA and her Manger showed no regret for their drastic mishandling and extreme unprofessional behavior, They were not remorseful for their behavior but rather was accusing. Not to mention I will never go back to this pharmacy. I would like to warn others of the experience I went through and the service I got. I hope Safeway does take proper look into this case mishandling and behavior by the technician and manager. read more

One star for a friendly staff but they are SO SLOW. they need more people behind the register helping drop off pre scrips and picking up.

The truth is, a lot of pharmacies suck. People make mistakes, doctors make mistakes and don't get me started on insurance companies. But there are a few employees at this Safeway pharmacy who go above and beyond to be helpful, especially when mistakes are made. I go to pharmacies A LOT because I have a lot of medical issues, and sometimes they mess up, but having a few people who know me and who help me out when the medicine isn't covered or call my doctor directly for me makes a big difference. They are slow sometimes, but it's worth it for convenience while I pick up groceries anyway. Thanks Safeway! read more

I wish I could give a zero. Every since the store was bought by an investment firm, the quality of products and services has dropped so low that there are not the words to describe it. Having the same repeated mistake and lack of service is not acceptable today. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this store. read more
