Having read all the horrible reviews for this location, I was actively trying to avoid it while doing groceries last Sunday evening (in fact, I generally avoid Safeway unless they have some amazing deals). But realizing they were right across the street (I had parked in the Ballard Market lot), I figured it wouldn't hurt to drop in on my way back from the walk to Trader Joe's. And to my surprise, it was not nearly as bad as everyone had made it out to be. They had everything I wanted, the avocados I was looking for were pretty fresh, there were no absurd lines, and when I couldn't find the 93% lean beef they had on sale that week, one of the guys working the (already closed) meat counter just packaged some up for me from the counter at the sale price. Though, for the sake of living up to people's low expectations, two of the employees behind the meat counter were goofing around making farm animal noises (though a number of us patrons actually found it rather amusing), and there was a small pool of blood by the frozen meats that no one had bothered to clean up. But hey, good enough experience for me, and not horrible enough that I'd feel compelled to drive an extra couple miles to go to a better rated one. read more

This Safeway has everything you need and lots of parking! Conveniently located on the corner of 15th and Market, this is your one-stop-shop for all of your basic needs. Recently I had plans to go to the beach but needed to get some cups of ice for cans of soda and seltzer waters. I recalled that most Safeways have fountain soda machines and decided to drop in here. They charged $0.25 per cup of ice, and happened to have a couple of straws (gasp!) left before the straw ban went into effect. This was the perfect place to stop before heading out to the beach - it was a little busy on a Sunday afternoon, but I would have expected that at any grocery store at that time. The sales associates here were quick at getting people through checkout and it didn't seem like the store was as busy as it actually was. read more

It's a safeway. Gas prices are good for ballard and seattle. Hummus selection is hit or miss, and the pita here is awful. The yogurt selection was a bummer too. I got some oreos once. And some gatorade, to post-game a night of drinking. I mainly come here to recharge my Orca card, cause I use put it on the AMEX here (stupid Orca machines don't take my amex). read more

U know like this place is like totally the pit of the pits u know. Security is like always there like Safeway is unsafe or something like that. I don't remember a Safeway with more security. Like come one anywayz. This Safeway is smaller and limited like a 7-11 with 1 aisle. Isn't like Safeway a big chain like something like that. Anywayz so selection is so limited like come people please. Space in the aisles is like the a movie theater aisle or something right like that. As for like service or lines and such. Like don't go afternoons or evenings like everyone is so off work then and like overcrowded and such. Not enough employees and like bad attitudes with the ones there like they not happy cause whatever be thankful you have a job and like I'm so done with it. I reviewed this place once before but my review must have been deleted for some reason...conspiracies! I go here because used with the Justforyou crap you can save a few bucks, and its near where I live. Unfortunately their produce section is just the worst. They are ALWAYS out of green onions. I kid you not if you need green onions just plan to go elsewhere. Half of their produce looks old and actually has mold on it, and I don't go there late at night I'm a mid afternoon shopper. I will look in the organic section and it will be out too. They need to get their produce section together. Today I needed a red onion and they all had cuts and mold in them. There were very few available as you can see in a picture I added here. Safeway get better produce! I go to another store to regularly so I can get better produce. When a "company" has to apologize for 95% of their customer reviews, you know something is rotten. And the rot starts at the top.

I walk into the store and I see a clerk in the produce section, so I nicely try to ask her a question - but she cuts me off rudely and says with a scowl on her face, "I'm on my break", and then just turns around and walks away. In the check-out line I notice another customer ask the same clerk a question but she just walks by and ignores them (which i don't mind, because there were other staff nearby). So I told the sales clerk of the experience I just had with their employee in the produce aisle, saying that I'm not trying to cause any trouble and I know their job is hard but I don't think it's appropriate for Safeway staff to rudely speak to customers who just have a simple question - we don't know they're on their break (I worked as grocery checker for about 8 years so I know it's not an easy job). The clerk's reply was that it's unrealistic of me to expect a person on their break to treat me nicely when their not on the clock (he gave examples that if I ran into him shopping at another store, does he have to treat me nicely and the answer is no because he's off the clock just like he is when he's on his break at Safeway - this is a horrible example by the way, because I don't expect a Safeway employee dressed in a Safeway outfit to answer my questions at a QFC). I said I had no idea the employees on their break and they could just say nicely - I'm sorry, but I'm on my break they don't have to be rude. The manager who was listening then interjected that I was wrong. She also said that I should not expect their staff to answer questions when they're on their break or treat me nicely when they're not on the clock. It's sad that so many Safeway staff thinks it appropriate to treat customers rudely when they are on their breaks or when customers try to report poor service. I just had a hard/long at day at work myself (my elderly Mom is sick) so I do not need rude comments from Safeway staff (I was just trying to get a bag of lettuce but their shelves were bare of most produce items today). I reported their poor customer service policy to corporate management, but I really doubt they care. The fact that Safeway will post an automated reply to this review (letting me know I can forward this complaint to corporate) when I already have) shows that they didn't read it and basically hire anyone. All the other grocery stores in this area have a 3 to 4 star review s in Yelp but Safeways average 2 stars. read more

I wish they weren't cheaper because I prefer my groceries delivered to my door by AmazonFresh but the price difference is so significant that I can't justify it any longer. I pretend it's exercise and then it's not so bad. Gina at the seafood counter is super friendly, and one of the last visits they even had wine tasting by a local (Woodinville) winery! They lack the organic and specialty selection of Whole Foods and Metropolitan Market, but for basic raw ingredients, it gets the job done and done for less. While I live in this neighbourhood, this will be my go to grocery store. read more

The 24 hour Safeway changed to closing at 1am. With all the problems in the area with homeless and shoplfiting Safeway has Im not surprised. Im more shocked it didnt happen earlier. Most of the workers are friendly and know where stuff is pretty quick especially during the daytime. The self checkout machines were just replaced with new ones. The new ones are different with more bagging space. Parking is vast, main lot and a huge secondary lot. This location does also have a gas station attached. On the flip side, the just for u app coupons dont always work, must check receipt to see if coupon was applied to each item. The customer service line can get backed up quick, the Starbucks is lacking and there's a young manager that doesnt know how to do a return. read more

This Safeway is one of the reasons I've started using Amazon Fresh. I came in tonight to grab three items. Opted to go to the check out lines because the self check out lines was crawling back into an aisle. No express lanes were open. The woman in front of me left her groceries on the conveyor belt and was browsing the store, using her groceries as a place holder. She came back and told the cashier "start ringing me up I'll be back" when the customer before her was checking out. The cashier started to ring her items up as the customer was MIA somewhere in the store. I asked if I could be rung up first since I only had three items and the woman wasn't present to pay for her groceries. Seemed logical. Why hold up an entire line for one self entitled person? The cashier proceeded to get this really nasty look on her face and almost huffed at me like I was in the wrong. Her whole attitude was so rude and shitty. Didn't smile once didn't try to understand was acting like I personally offended her. Like grow up lady. The customer service here has always been pretty subpar aside from a few friendly baggers. This is the reason no one wants to go out of their way to grocery shop anymore - long lines, employees with terrible attitudes, and poor selection. read more

Simply the WORST. Safeway is cheaper than other grocers in Ballard, but I always go to Towns Market and New Seasons for good reasons. First, Safeway Ballard employees don't do their jobs. They're indifferent and rude. The big dude with ponytail: I always found him not speaking any word whenever he's at the lane. I approached him with words, and he just pointed at the register and looked at me like I was bothering him. It's not about "being kind", but you're not literally doing "customer service" job. When I phoned the store and spoke to the manager, the manager was super indifferent and nonchalant. I couldn't believe it. It's not just that, I also found a couple of other employees there not helpful and they even watched me closely pay the right amount for bakery items that didn't have a price tag on. Umm....excuse me? You failed at your job not putting the price tag on, but why are you watching me??! I was buying a mini cake at night after the bakery department got closed, and asked one of the employees for help. They forgot to put the price tag on, but then later dropped off the price tag to the cashier. Still doubtful, they had to watch me paying the money. Sure, that's how you do your customer service. Second, their ready-to-go foods are horrible. Chicken and sushi are not even presentable looking. Don't bother to take a look at them. Third, their seafood department doesn't even carry a single whole fish. Fourth, whenever you got stuck in the self checkout lane, for mechanical problems, employees come to you with annoying look. So don't ever make a mistake when you're at the self checkout lane. Fifth, they get really sarcastic if you want an extra paper bag and refund. I don't mind paying 5 cents for the bag. One time I was walking home and my paper bag ripped off and had a hole, so my mini tomatoes were all being dropped in the parking lot. I went inside again to replace a bag and get refunds for tomatoes. (their staff in the parking lot told me it's OK to have new bag and tomatoes) But then one of the courtesy clerks was super sarcastic and told me that he'd never seen anyone like me before. That's not something you would say to you customer who just finished shopping at your grocery store. Overall, the worst grocery ever in Ballard. read more

I used to really like this Safeway until one fateful Sunday evening, last February: I was runnin' around town all day, like I usually do, had some dinner with friends, whatnot, and rolled back to my house, around 6pm. Not 20 minutes later, my throat started to get a little scratchy. Meh. Weird.. but whatever.. Whoa.. wait. (fast forward an hour) WAAAH! What the HELL is goin' on?!?! Now, I'm pretty tough. I've broken some bones, dealt with some crap. You wouldn't call me a pansy- I can usually handle whatever.. However, when it feels like you've got a rock the size of a baseball lodged in your throat.. Well, we've all got thresholds, and this sore throat certainly exceeded mine! Hmm.. it will be expensive if I go to the E Room. I figure I'll save a good $200 (at least) and hit up the Doc in the morning. In the meantime, I need throat stuff before I die. I head to Safeway. By this time, I can barely swallow and the pain is unbearable when I have to. I've got a throbbing headache, chills like Sherpa on his first expedition, and I'm as weak as Carrot Top at the Apollo. Yes, it was that bad. I roll in to Safeway at about 8pm. There is ONE check stand open and there are at LEAST 20 people in line. Excellent. Upon my entry to the store, everyone in line is looking at me like they might have sympathy, but when I return to the front with my 5 types of lozenges, throat spray, Throat Coat Tea, and Aleve, any sign of human compassion is nowhere to be seen. I wait and wait and wait in line. Finally, after a good 20 minutes, I get to the front. 'Sorry about the wait,' says the poor shift supervisor. 'They never staff us on Sunday night.' 'Yeah, you might want to look into that..' I say with what little voice I have left. 'I'm really sorry. Take care'. Hey Safeway- Sunday nights aren't EVER slow when I've been here, and I've been here many a weekend night. Do your customers (and your employees) a favor and beef up your coverage on Sunday nights, will ya?! Until then, I'll be at the grocer next door. I very much dislike this Safeway. Numerous bad experiences with them either being out of what I'm looking for, long wait time, or just plain rude service from the checkers will have me not making a return visit. You would think that when a problem arises in check-out regarding pricing a manager would be able to correct it. Guess what? Not at this location! Twice I've had a manager or assistant manager not know how to correct a mistake that I would think could be fixed. Okay, so after I had myself a little negativity party there, I will say that the Safeway gas station is quite nice, although if I'm heading a bit farther north to the other Safeway on 15th, the gas is always 10-20 cents cheaper. This Safeway is by far the WORST Safeway in Seattle. Staff members are rude and ignore the customers and act as if they are doing you a favor by helping you. I live in Fremont and (against my better judgement) decided to go to this store today to pick up a few groceries. Big mistake. All of the aisles were basically blocked by "stock " people that "Don't work for Safeway". I attempted to buy a coffee at the Starbucks kiosk and the employee was very rude and condescending to not only me but the customer before me as well. I attempted to speak to the manager of the store and was told "He's not here". A women named Jeanette who was apparently "in charge " came out to speak to me. When I explained to her what had happened with the loser working at the Starbucks kiosk she acted just the same as he did. HOW PATHETIC. I will be following up with the store manager as well as corporate. If any one is available. Get your shit together people. NEVER ANY CHECKERS!!!!!! And annoyingly one time I stopped here on my way home and the Ballard Bridge was up so it took longer than I expected. Then there was 2 checkers for the gadjillion people there and I had to pee BAD! So I asked nicely where the bathroom was as I paid for my groceries. The answer, " No. Our bathrooms close at 8 pm." *insert begging here* and they would not budge telling me that they can't get into the bathrooms because they are on a timer that automatically locks at 8 pm. Where the hell do they pee while they are working? The freaking store is 24 hours. I mean I understand like the token bathroom deal....I can roll with that. I bought thirty bucks worth of stuff. Not only does management create an incredibly unsafe environment for service dog handlers by allowing people to bring their unruly pets here, but the evening pharmacy staff seem to enjoy goofing off more than actually taking care of customers. I just spent 15+ minutes in an empty waiting room waiting for a flu shot while there were zero other pharmacy customers. Unacceptable lack of service for something that should have taken a minute or less to do. read more

This is one of the worst Safeways I have been to. There is no self check-out, the lines are almost always long, and employees are for the most part clueless. Sometimes I get a good checker but I continually have frustrating experiences at this store. The Just 4 U program is terrible and a waste of time. Half of the time the coupons I spend time adding to my card ahead of time don't work at checkout and I have to wait in line all over again to get a refund or adjustment. My last shopping trip I had a $9 off coupon and 40 cent gas reward AND a 50% off coupon on meat that all were not applied. I was able to get the $9 back manually after the fact which I waited in line to have resolved because it's $9! I waited in line and got a price adjustment on the lamb, but the 40 cent gas reward is still not resolved. I emailed customer service about this issue and they weren't able to link my name to my Safeway card so they said they were unable to help me and told me to call customer service. I am very disappointed in Safeway. It is my closest grocery store and I go several times a week. But from now on, I will be visiting QFC down the street. Much better customer service and there is no complicated coupon/rewards system to deal. You have lost a longtime, local customer! read more

The remodel a year or so ago was really odd as the store was hardly 5 years old at that point. But whatev, here it stands now with narrower aisles and more stuff. The majority of the stars is for convenience and the employees tend to be friendlier and less likely to be on some-sort of Thorazin shuffle (ala Fred Meyer up the road and round the corner). The produce department is spacious though and offers some good products with a wider selection of organics that are not as spendy as some places. But I don't buy organic veggies, I'm afraid of the withdraws. They have a better quality meat selection then Fred Meyer and the prices are rather decent. I like the beer selection and its the only place I've found Pete's WIcked Wanderlust for cheeeeeeeeeeeeap. Yay! However the grossiest restroom in grocey store history probably resides here. Do not enter unless you REALLY have to go, and if you do then clutch your cheeks and skip over to Hollywood Video and use their toilet. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. read more

Yikes!!! I've been here a few times in the past for the sake of convenience or when something I want is on sale and I for whatever reason haven't gone to the safeway by my job. I stopped in the other day to grab some produce when I was having a vegetable emergency and left the store empty handed!! Zucchini - there were maybe 10 of them and they were all squishy. Gross. Green beans - sooooo dried out. Who would buy those? Bell peppers - really cheap, since they were going all wrinkly. Avocado - looked fine, but $2 for a small one? Really? In a last, desperate attempt to make the trip not completely worthless I swung by the cream cheese section because I like the lucerne (safeway brand) whipped cream cheese. Did they have any? No!! Come on people - it is your own brand! For a store in the heart of Ballard I would expect more. Now I know better! read more

Where do I begin with this joke of a place. Not sure really because they fail at most things. First off is the pharmacy they have here. I have had so many issues with the grumpy people who work here. (some are nice actually) First problem is that they never seem to have my prescription ready when i get there. Doesn't matter if I call it in during the morning and it says it will be ready by 5pm. Show up at 6pm and they still dont have it filled! Why! This time I asked and there excuse was that they had 16 call ins today! Woah that is so much! So the employee said "Will have to get that order prepared" and then looked to the next person in line without even asking if I wanted to wait (which I didn't). Guess I will try my luck tomorrow and see if its ready? Also there has been more then one occasion when they dont even give my the correct number of pills, supposed to have 30, they decide to give me 20? How does that happen multiple times? Also they can never even find my precription, they just have the prescription randomly thrown into a shelf it seems like. Not even really organized at all. Why? Also its not the fastest place to pick up a prescription either. Have waited more then 20 minutes in line multiple times! I am afraid that one day they will give me the wrong pills and cause me to become seriously ill! No joke! Then why do i still go here? because of gas discounts and they take this discount INS i have which other places do not. Now to the actual grocery store. Well the prices are pretty expensive, especially compared to a year ago. They do have good sale prices at times (like most places do). Regular prices are pretty steep. Definately not worth it to buy anything at regular price at this place. Also they like to sell expired foods. Even though I know that they do, I still manage to purchase items that have expired weeks ago. This is unacceptable! Also they dont like to take printed coupons from the internet. Here is a tip just go through the self checkout and scan the coupons yourself. Another thing is some sale items dont like to ring up as the advertised sale price (honestly this happens most places, is it on purpose though is another question) It is tough to find a good thing about this place. Been to this Safeway multiple times. They advertise that they are 24 hours and they aren't. They decide to close on random occasions and leave a hand written sign "apologising". Don't bother spending your money here. On top of that the staff is not helpful, just go somewhere else. read more

If you choose to go to the Safeway on 85th st and 15th rather than the one on market, there you will find your grocery's are cheaper and A much cleaner store. I think the one on NW. market smells like piss in the garagen and is very dirty. Something Tell's me the store manager on NW. market street for Safeway needs to get fired her store is nasty and overpriced. Save yourself about 10% just by going to the Safeway on 85th and 15th NW rather than the one on market street. Its much cleaner and way more organized, and omg the staff is NICE!! dont go to Safeway on NW market its nasty!!! I got to many morales to sue them for food poising. read more

This is the grocery store I frequent the most, and it is also the store I dislike the most. Getting into and out of there is always a mess. Multiple entrances but people still don't know how to use a blinker or not block traffic. The store itself is normally stocked pretty well; although there are sometimes items they are out of. Their prices are good and if you download their app and use the additional coupons it helps as well. I think my biggest complaint with the store is just how busy it gets. It seems like no matter what time I come it's always packed. It also seems like they're a little understaffed and they need more baggers. The lines can get pretty long and move very slowly. There are a few of the baggers that are really friendly but it seems that there are a few cashiers that are causing the lines to back up. It just doesn't have the flow that I've seen other Safeway stores have. No one is in a rush at all. I've had some cashiers comment on every time they swipe. I try to avoid those lines now but the last few times I've been there, I've had no other choice. Management should consider a little more training on productively (esp around the holidays). This Safeway on NW Market doesn't honor their own digital coupons. This store treats their customers like crap when you attempt to get your money back.If you want to shoplift you can get away with it. Everytime I'm there I see shoplifters and no one does anything about it. I went to customer service to get my money back for being overcharged. A very unfriendly and rude worker helped me. She was painfully unhelpful, so I asked for a manager. John the manager came and didn't understand what I was saying. Your digital coupon was buy one and get one free and it didn't work. He didn't get that. This store is awful. Half the time there are 5 people shoplifting. A paying customer wants what you advertised you treat them awful. I left with without my refund. Some serious training is needed at this store. Your customer service needs to be trained on how to be professional and welcoming. read more

I visited your Ballard store today to pick up ingredients for tonight's dinner. I was shopping with my 14 month old daughter, who loves the grocery store. It is her parade, she gets to walk around and wave hi to everyone. Most people respond, some do not either way it's an adventure for her and I. As I was picking up some dairy items, she wondered about 10 feet ahead of me. I instantly stopped shopping to follow her at a safe distance, allowing her the space to be. This is when one of your workers angrily, under his breath said to my 14 month old child, "Could you get your kid out of my way?" I stopped. He had to be kidding. "I'm sorry?" He then repeated, "you need to get your kid out of my way!" I then asked this man if he was kidding. To which he replied, "no." I then stated, "she is a child and a person, she can walk where she would like." He then retorted back, "you are the adult, watch your kid." I couldn't believe it. I was shocked. She is 14 months old, she is allowed to be and she wasn't anywhere close to him. "I want to talk to your manager," to which he said, "please don't, I need this job."My daughter this whole time, is witnessing her mother get upset on the one day we have together. Watching her mother have to justify her to this person, who is too busy to let a 14 month old be within two feet of him. I think she even smiled at him and tried to say hi. At this point, the manager showed up. I was so upset, I gave a quick description of what happened and left my cart of groceries there in the dairy isle. read more

I fully admit I am a holder of a "Commie Card" aka the Safeway Club Card and I use it weekly. And since there is no Safeway in Wallingford - 9 times out of 10 I'm hitting the one in Ballard. Today was a bit different - as I have started ordering and purchasing items for a large dinner party I'm holding on Saturday. So I was asking a lot of questions and purchasing about ten times more than I would normally. Wandering in around 2 o'clock I spotted my first victim - produce manager. Asked if I would be able to obtain 2 flats of blackberries and raspberries for pickup on Friday - he said it would be no problem and took down all my information. Second victim: Meat department guy. Asked for a large number of a specific cut of meat to be picked up on Friday. He suggested that I pick it up early and pop it in the freezer until Friday because they were having a special that ended on Tuesday. That one suggestion, with a discount of $4.00 per pound, saved me about $60. Third victim - bagger. When I asked if he could put all perishables and non-perishables in separate bags there were no problems and he double bagged the heavy cans. He also helped me to my car and loaded it. What could have been an aggravating trip to the local grocery turned into a great experience. read more

This Safeway is terrible. It's the closest grocery store to my apartment, so I will continue to go here (except for produce, which I will get from Ballard Market), but it stinks. It is impossible to find ANYTHING in this store. Every time I go here I wander the aisles aimlessly, hoping to come across what I'm looking for. It took me 10 minutes to find the eggs last time I was there. WTF. That is messed up. I refuse to park in the creepy, smelly garage...which means I end up circling around trying to find parking on the main level. Too bad half of it has been eliminated by the stupid gas station. There are NEVER enough checkers. I've gone at various times of the day and I always wait in line for a very long time. The longest lines always seem to be the "express" checkouts, which I find hilariously comical. I can't understand why they haven't figured out how many checkers they need to have at any given time by now. It's just stupid. I always feel like I'm getting harassed outside this store too. "Spicy chicken strips with BBQ SAUCE, not the bbq dipping sauce at the hot foods deli, but the bbq sauce they have at the sandwich counter. Diet pepsi, and some of those jo-jos. Here's $7 bucks, bring me back the change and use the big truck." I have definitely run over a couple of curbs at this Safeway trying to park :/ But when you are told to do a lunch run, you do a damn lunch run. This Safeway is okay... Seems like its having a hard time keeping up with itself. Don't let this be your final impression of all Safeways. I don't really have any tips or specific details that makes this place stand out. I am continually confused as to why Safeway has multiple sections of their store for meats and cheeses- if you are going to distinguish between basic craft sliced cheese, and whole blocks of tillamook cheddar, at least put them in the same aisle, and not one in the aisle and one all the way in the deli section. Some stores separate staple products and artisan/organic products, which I understand, but Safeway seems to think that cheap items and normal name brand items need to be in different sections, as well. It makes comparing prices and styles impossible, and I see more items dropped off in the wrong aisle by customers than at any other store. read more

Safeway is your place to go to get canned beans, milk, etc - your basic essentials. Their produce is mediocre but edible if you must or are on a budget. That being said, they have a small selection and it's not always in the finest condition. If you can, head to ballard market for a better selection of produce, meats and seafood. Whatever you do, don't expect to find the produce you need here on a Sunday night. We often run out last minute on a Sunday night and the produce area looks like it has been ransacked - I mean how do you run out of mushrooms?! read more

If you work an overnight shift or are naturally an early riser that likes to get things done around 530 or 600a don't expect much. What you can expect is attitude from the employees when you ask for something that doesn't have a sell by date of the day that you are in there. You will get told they don't have access to the meat dept to check. Now, if this was not pre packaged meat that was not in a closed meat case at a closed meat counter, I would totally understand. However, it was pre packaged meat and on the shelf in the actual store, so why can you not get to those? I get if you are not qualified to cut meat or have not been properly trained to do so. However, if you are a business that advertises being open 24 hours, don't you think your employees should be able to keep your shelves somewhat stocked or at least see if there is anything in the back? Apparently if you are this Safeway, you do not. It is probably like this at other safeway's as well and in all honesty, it is just plain stupid. Asked for the night manager, got pushback and attitude not just from Gina, the initial employee I asked for help, but two others and the manager i spoke with, Kevin. Who, also had attitude and pretty much zero people skills or conflict management skills, way to go on that hire safeway, total lack of confidence in your people. Couldn't even decide for sure if the actual store manager would be in at 7 or 8 today, first he said he should be in at one of those times, then said 8 or somewhere btwn, then finally decided that yes, he would for sure be in. In short, I left the two pieces of produce in the cart in the aisle i was in, grabbed my empty bags and walked out of the place without buying a thing, the final straw came when I saw they wanted almost $12 for a 24 pack of pepsi that they would tack on the seattle beverage tax too on top of it. umm no, you will not raise the price and also still charge the distributor tax to me, the consumer. way to help prove trickle down economics is BS safeway. Also...all your other prices have gone through the roof on things. Maybe I just have no luck with grocery shopping, you, freddies and QFC all suck. all you people saying they have good prices on things, do you even shop around or do you make so much money that you think $8.99 a lb for tri tip is a good price? cuz if you think thats a good price for tri tip, go home, you're drunker than jesus. read more

It's a Safeway you can't really expect much, but this one is usually out of the Jimmy Dean sausage you want, as well as being out of their otherwise dismal selection of everything else even when fully stocked, but especially their meats. And if you want to use the restroom you better bring your rain boots to step over the lake of urine in a restroom that you must ask for a code to access. read more
