I never thought I'd be told i needed a cookie in Seattle. On Sunday afternoon the bartender at Atlas Sports across the street gave me a bite of hers and i needed my own. Service was quick and i only missed a few minutes of the game running over between commercials. The baker let me know it's chocolate chip and walnut and not just chocolate chip which first discouraged me but it was amazing! Cookies were sitting on a hot pan so no worry of having to eat one not freshly hot and made. This cookie is rich in chocolate, so rich the bartender told me she needs to take breaks to finish it. It's also huge and a meal in itself. The stomach ache after having that and lunch was definitely worth it. I regret not bringing a few back to California but this place is saved for when i come back

Metropolitan Market is like a Whole Foods except really local. You can literally walk to it as there are many houses and a bus stop right by it. Convenience is likely a bringer of the customers here as well as those whose wallets have a bit of bulge. Temporarily staying here really drove home the convenience if food or beer was needed. What gets me though is Metro's competitors - QFC, Safeway etc. are just plain cheaper, even when things aren't on sale at those stores, they're still cheaper than Metro. It's no secret. I'm pretty frugal when it comes to grocery shopping and don't like to use excess cash for everyday needs so seeing these prices as I go up and down the aisles just froze me. Speaking of aisles I found them to be rather cramped, which isn't only unique to here but, this is a nice looking and sizable store so this hurts it. Also the cart return isn't great here unless I missed something. To it's credit, the staff seem really nice and the florist department looks good and they have other little perks for example, you can take specific amounts of eggs that come from a local farm in case you don't want a full or even a half a dozen. Still though, unless you have a penchant for the posh I'd stick to the everyday supermarkets unless there something specific calling you here.

Not your regular grocery store. It's more like Whole Food or Sprouts. They sell higher end goods. But the bakery is amazing. Love love their in house baked gourmet chocolate cookies. One of the best grocery made cookies. We loved so much the we bought extra to bring back to Vegas and froze it.

Ok come here for their cookie. Whether you're here to grocery shop or just want their cookie, IT'S WORTH. Probably the best cookie I've had in my life. The cookie is dense, REALLY HEFTY. It reminds me a lot of the popular Levain cookies you find in New York. It is chunky, chewy, soft, all at the same time. I don't know how they do it. It's filled with ooey gooey chocolate chips, crunchy walnuts, and a pinch of salt ; a perfect balance of sweet and salty. I hope I convinced you (*:

Way back when pre-Yelp, when I lived on Queen Anne and in Ravenna, it was a culinary pleasure to occasionally shop at Metropolitan Market. Late this rainy Saturday afternoon, I turned strategic shopper but exercised restraint at the Hawthorne Hills/Sand Point location (12/14/19). I wandered the perimeter without a basket or cart, and only clockwise to prevent random purchases, took various photos of this, that, and the other thing. If only I was in the holiday entertaining mindset...I digress. Cue the Jaws theme song. Like a shark sensing blood, this former professional baker was detecting fresh baked cookie scent. Finally, coming full circle around the store, I finally located The Cookie. Yes, this Yelper and known Cookie Monster is late to the party regarding The Cookie. I ask and pay for 4 of these monstrous freshly baked lovelies ($2.99/each). Each one placed in its own bag, then all carefully arranged in a signature tote. I still had other errands to run, so The Cookies remained on the front passenger seat for 90 minutes. Brilliant The Cookie car fresheners! Finally got home, but before I could photograph all four...one got hoovered by The Homie. Finally with a cold glass of milk, I too tried and devoured The Cookie. OMG. Amazing that 90 minutes later, The Cookie remained still freshly baked warm! That is one absolutely decadent rich AF chocolate chip cookie. The Cookie is like saying I'd like some cookie with my Callebaut chocolate. Had a really bad day? Pass on the ice cream pint. Get The Cookie. Something to celebrate? Get The Cookie. Want to convey your appreciation or admiration? Get The Cookie. Want to get hot and melty with someone? Get The Cookie. You get the idea. Get The Cookie. Good thing I am late to the party and Metropolitan Market locations aren't close to Shoreline. Yes, definitely get The Cookie. Totally worth it, whether you indulge or share with others. Get the Cookie. You're welcome.

Love their cookies there!!! I feel like that is the only reason why I go to Met Market for. The grocery there is alright but not my thing. Their cookie is huge and freshly made every day. Make sure to grab a milk and pair it with the cookie. Eat it on site as well!!! :)

    Hot food please

This little mama piggy loves this market! Big papa piggy thinks it's a bit expensive compared to other grocery stores. Duh! Papa piggy just don't get the can of Spam here! Wee little piggy says, "ma, imma college student"... In the end, mama piggy just loves this market! ‍ Don't forget to stop by the pastry shop and grab "the cookie". Yes, I definitely recommend this market...but I noticed I'm not the only one standing in a long line at the check out counter.

Thank you for THE COOKIE! You can get them fresh or even take away the cookie dough available in the refrigerator area. Get it! Grab some milk and enjoy.

The options at this grocery store is overwhelming but it's kind of a treat also. There is lots of merchandise that you can't get at any run of the mill grocery store. This grocery store is mainly tuned into Asian shoppers and so you get a lot of merchandise that you don't see in just any everyday place. I heard coming here you can get all kinds of different flavors of Kit Kats and indeed I did find a lot of different ones. I purchased a flavor though that I haven't tried before which made it fun. It was a dark chocolate Kit Kat. But what I unexpectedly found was different Pocky flavors also. The sweet tasting pretzel stick I have had plenty of times with chocolate and strawberry flavors but I found one with fruit (mango) chunks that was a part of the flavor. It was good! Perhaps not my favorite but I'm glad I got to try something new! In addition to that there is something similar to Pocky called Pretz. This is a more savory version of Pocky. I found a toasted sugar flavor which I never came across before and that was good too! So it definitely was a hit coming back again. In addition to the grocery store itself at this location there is a connecting bookstore and a food court. So you could definitely spend a considerable amount of time here! I enjoy the bookstore but haven't tried the food court so that will be yet another visit for another time.

Nice big asian supermarket, with parking lot. If you purchase $20.00 of items in the supermarket…read moreor at their food court, show the parking slip to cashier, they will validate for free parking up to 2hrs. The market features seafood, freshly prepared package , lots of Asian sauces, can and packaged goods and exotic pastries. They are pricy, but not out of line for Japanese and Korean markets.
