Be aware of Safeway's confusing, if not deceptive, ads. Over 20 items on their current weekly ad have clipable coupons with a red tag above the item that says "PickUp&Delivery." I found out yesterday that this advertised price is for pickup or delivery purchase only - it's no good if you buy the item in the store. I paid $9.98 for 2 creamers advertised at $1.99 each, and $11.94 for 6 sport drinks that have a $0.77 coupon in the ad. That's over a $13.00 difference on only 2 products. read more

The star was only for the checkout girls. The experience wasn't good. NO wonder the parking lot is never busy and King Soopers is packed. The corn was all pre-packaged - no fresh corn anywhere. The creamer I use was expired by a few days - every single carton. The hamburger buns I bought were moldy on the bottom - a fact I didn't realize until we were cooking hamburgers that night and my son picked it up and saw the mold... I usually love this location it's always clean had what we want and not overly crowded but tonight I was disappointed I went in for a light trip with my son and because they had to many people on break from what a worker said I was forced to use self check out. He's still very young so he was ready to get out of the basket I had to hold him and scan and bag everything. Truthfully I almost left without anything because it was such a stressful situation. I work in management and there should have been different steps taken if you were short coverage like just close the self check out and run your registers. read more

They are having their "grand re-opening." The store looks great but they were obviously having a corporate visit. There must of been at least 40 employees and corporate walking around. I shopped almost the entire store and out of all the employees only one acknowledged my existence in the produce department. I said hi to everyone including the upper management or corporate and not one said anything back to me. No wonder Safeway/Albertsons are having so much trouble, they certainly don't want to provide customer service. Even the cashier ignored me when I said hi twice. read more

I just went to Safeway in Windsor Colorado today April 12, 2023 and they have moved the bakery pretty much out and the wine and beer in. They could care less about their customers. They just wanna make money and when I complained about it to the store Director she just gave me a hard time and called me a liar pretty much and talked over me and was really rude so I called corporate and I had a little chitchat with them. even though it's legal to sell alcohol in grocery stores now we still need food. We knew they were going to skimp on the food when they put the alcohol in but this is ridiculous. read more

Yesterday we rented a rug doctor, the sweetest employee Sofia checked it out to us. She let us know there was a $15 deposit for bringing the 3 pieces back. I asked which ones to be sure I didn't lose anything and she showed me. Today, I cleaned out the tanks and brought all the pieces back. I was told by Margarita, who was very rude to the people ahead of us as well, that I would not get the deposit back because the $15 was a cleaning deposit and I only get it back if I take apart the brushes and clean them all out. (No problem, I just didn't know, because I wasn't told that) She said to get my $15 back I would need to load the unit back up, go home, clean it out, and come back. I let her know that I would absolutely not mind doing that, but that I was not told that by Sofia. She then called me a liar. Made a scene and told me to take it home if I want my deposit. No reasonable explanation for not believing me. No escalation. I had been in the store for less than 3 min, treated like crap and sent on my way. It's not about $15. It's about treating people like crap unnecessarily and the unprofessionalism from my local Safeway. read more

I come in here several times a week to pick up items for dinner. The service is incredible. When I'm staring into the meat window, I'm always asked if they can grab something and they've offered to do just about anything they can to satisfy any need or question I've had. Months ago a lady shared a story about leaving items by accident and a manger brought them to her house. The prices might be a little much at times, but if you catch things on sale or there are a lot of buy 1 get one free items in the meat area, it offsets the cost. read more

I came in to get chicken for Monday like always at the deli and the manager I didn't even want to help me because she seemed super irritated and unpleasant and frazzled as always..... but the young man James helped me and was extremely nice and very helpful and really should be manager considering he's always pleasant when I see him. I went to the Safeway in Windsor today to return an item that did not work for me. Right from the Get Go A Woman who works at the customer service desk came out from the office and was so RUDE I was so shocked how rude this Employee was towards A customer. I felt discriminated against from the 1st word she spoke to the last word she spoke to me I couldn't believe it. Safeway cares for Customer Service so I do not know how this employee keeps her Job. Her name is Jamie her so called title is Customer Service Booth Lead at Safeway Windsor. Very rude very stuck up it's sad to see how People really ain't happy about there job or helping customers. I will not ever go to Windsor Safeway again. Healdsburg employees are amazing guess I'm spoiled there is 1 bad seed everywhere you shop and I found the bad seed today at Windsor Safeway names Jamie. read more
