I needed to complete my back yard fence. Needed about 100' of fence and two gates. Contacted Tony, the owner of sagamore fencing and the next day Marco showed up and ready to check out my fencing needs. Within 6 days all required permits were secured and two days later the project was completed. There was one issue. The gates were installed to open out. I wanted them to open in. We had such a great experience with Sagamore Fence and Deck (on the recommendation of several neighbors) and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Alfonso was our point of contact and the man in charge of the job and he could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Seriously! We switched our project up on him a couple times (were planning to pay for the fence, and our sweet neighbors insisted on splitting the cost). We were not expecting to be offered options (we opted to extend our side fence, enlarging our enclosed yard) and Alfonso gave us some great guidance and perspective. He was honest, fair and responsive. He ended up redoing the quote for both of our families to reflect the split cost (above and beyond what we asked for - we were going up to work it out with our neighbors), and even handled contacting our HOA! We wanted an extension added onto our patio. Tony Perez stopped in to go over the details of what we were looking for. He showed up on time and after discussing the options he got back to us quickly with a price estimate and a tentative work schedule. Since the price was below our budget we added some additional work to the job which also went smoothly. He also help with some needed documentation for our HOA. Tony stayed in contact with me after we set a start date just to keep me in the loop with the requested building materials and their status. The workers showed up on the scheduled start date and did an excellent job on the deck, rails, privacy wall and new yard side gate. Not very happy with Sagamore Fence. I felt great talking to Tony when we met and I was ready to sign the contract until he told me that if any gas or water lines on my property were struck by his company, the homeowner would have to pay for the damages. I thought "why should I have to pay for any damages that the fence installer would commit"....it really surprised me. I don't think it's fair that I pay for any damages that the fence installer would commit..I feel the reason you hire a bonded and insured company is for the security and peace of mind of a professional business. I also asked to see his fences after they were installed..at first Tony said it was ok but then he declined my request. I wanted to see the fence(s) after they were installed. Tony suggested the photos that were posted on his website. I had JP Construction install my doors, lights, security cameras, Hardy Board siding, soffits, facia and painted my house. Any problems, JP Construction did more than take care of them..JP Construction was outstanding in everything. Just a great owner and a fantastic foreman by the name of Mike. Not happy with Sagamore...I was very disappointed...Like I said...I was ready to sign the contract but declined. Disappointed...I understand this company has to protect itself but I lost confidence in this company. Tony Perez and his team are fantastic. They installed a wrought iron fence and gate that was mostly built on site and it is perfect. I also had 130 feet of cedar fence installed and it had to be attached to metal poles. Living in Serenada the ground is mostly rock and each post hole had to be Jack hammered. Tony is customer oriented and more than fair priced. I had an estimate for the metal fence and it was double the cost from Tony.
