Bay Meadows in Queensbury is 1/2 the price, and in way better condition. $70 is egregious for this poorly maintained "golf resort"

We stayed Sunday-Wednesday so we weren't able to eat in the restaurant as they are closed Monday and Tuesday- everyone deserves a couple of days off-which wasn't an issue. The GM Nate was fantastic, in fact everyone we interacted with we very friendly, including fellow golfers on the course as we played. We had so much fun playing the course that we didn't want to try any of the other courses. The golf course was in good shape, and challenging. The view of Lake George from the 10th was gorgeous as well as the view of the mountains towards Vermont. The only downside was we lost a good number of ball LOL. Our room was clean and quaint, just what you would expect for a country Inn, and had all the amenities we needed. Our refrigerator was stocked with bagels, muffins, english muffins, watermelon and all the fixings for the bagels and english muffins. It is definitely on our list of places we will visit again. Last year our tee time turned out to be smack in the middle of an outing or tournament of some kind and we were told that a mistake was made in booking us when they did and they would not be able to get us out. This year we arrived right behind a group of approximately 20 guys waiting to tee off as part of a large outing. No motorized carts were available either. We were told they would be brought to us when they came back in. Sensing a wait past our tee time and a long, frustrating round behind these guys, we opted to play elsewhere. While I understand courses like this need to attract and cater to large outings, it shouldn't have such a negative impact on other customers. We play often at Hiland Park Country Club which similarly will host these sorts of outings and have not had it impact our experience whatsoever. I doubt we will return to Queensbury, which is a shame.
