Came back, a bit of disappointment...service slow, and there where only 3 tables. Food ok, but not as good as last time. They forgot food we order.... Big problem... no soap on the restrooms..... twice I say that to the waiter and nothing happen. Anyways, not going back.

What a great find in Madrid. I asked the concierge for a casual tapas place near the hotel Villa Magna and without hesitation he recommended Sagardi. Upon walking into the tapas restaurant I felt a great vibe. I sat at the tapas bar but decided to order off the menu. I started with the sautéed peppers which were amazing. I followed that with the steamed clams in a sauce that was to die for. I was still hungry and then decided to try the cod which was actually prepared in the same sauce as the clams (worked for me) and were accompanied by a few clams and mushrooms. The cod was perfectly prepared and the clams and mushrooms served as the perfect accompaniment. The service throughout my visit was quite pleasant and everyone very helpful and attentive. There was also a big screen TV (sans sound) for anyone who wants to catch the current football game. Overall a great experience and I would certainly return.

Visiting from Los Angeles we have high expectations. This restaurant delivered! We chose to eat downstairs which had better views of the raw bar and pintxos bar. I found this restaurant through Open Table.com. Service was fantastic, Pablo was our server. He had been to the US and his English was quite good. Their wine list is pretty good. Stick with the Spanish wines; a nice crisp Txakolina wine if you like white, great pairing wiith the oysters we had. For steak go with a Rioja. We got a bottle of Mauro. At €50 a great value and Sooo good!!! Two surprises were the freshness of the salad and the steak was so flavorful! We typically pass on dessert but we're intrigued by the sheep's milk cheesecake. For someone who is not a fan of cheesecake, this was crazy-good!

Beautiful place, very friendly, food is amazing and beautiful to. Need to try for sure.

Food is pretty lame, meat and potatoes where too salty and they always seems to use the same spices for everything, olive oil and salt.

The dish that ultimately won me over was the cheesecake which was very different from Japanese or American cheesecake.

Just a wonderful, local, and friendly place. I stumbled on here by accident when I first came to…read moreMadrid and was lost. One of the gentlemen working pointed me in the right direction and I vowed after that to come back before I left. And I am so glad that I did! Walked in and I was usure where to sit, but was welcomed to a small table for two. My order for wine was immediately taken and a side of pasta was brought out--it was delicious!! It was about a half a cup of pasta with some tuna in it and a light dressing. After finishing my waiter returned and asked if I wanted something else. I asked for their pollo ajilio, which I thought was going to just be chicken and garlic. Boy, I was so wrong. About 20 minutes later the waiter brings out a large platter of pappas (potatoes) and grilled pollo (chicken). The pollo and pappas were a little salty for me, but had a nice mild flavor. And some of the chicken bones were a little crunchy. While I ate the waiter checked on me, but otherwise just let me read and eat for as long as I wanted. There was no way I could take my food home, so the waiter boxed it up for me. Will be eating it over the next few days! The service and atmosphere are great, I felt very welcome! I was surprised by the size of the food and based on the lack of seasonings I may order something else the next time. I am not giving up on this restaurant just yet!!

Not sure if we maybe just picked a bad time to come to Casa de Asturias or if it's just really not…read morea great spot, we cut our lunch here short so it's hard to say. Each of us ordered a glass of cider which surprisingly came with a free (yay!) tapa... unfortunately the tapa was literally a version of cold cocktail weenies and potatoes in sauce that slightly resembled bbq... which was not great. I think we ate all the potatoes and left the tiny hotdogs alone. Decided not to order anything further after the free tapa was such a disappointment and carried on with our afternoon stroll.
