The restaurant is located right near the Sofia Museum. We were looking for dinner after visiting the museum and chose Sukaldea after looking at reviews. It's fantastic! With the help of our very friendly waiter we selected five different plates to share. My favorite was the Iberian bacon sandwich on the bao bun. Make sure you have a piece of the cheesecake for desert. It's great! I definitely recommend eating in this small, but fantastic, place!

Food was so good didn't even have chance to take a pic of the baby octopus before we devoured the plate. Fast friendly service delicious food.

Great food! So may tapas places in Madrid for tapas and we've been back twice! Love the burrata salad, the veal and provolone sandwich and also the mini burgers. Staff is helpful, efficient and very appreciative of tips.

Great place, service was terrific. Fell in love with the tapas: grilled calamari and eggplant tempura with a berry/greens salad. Right outside the Sophia museum. Beer and Tinto de Varonna were very reasonable. So glad we came here, would highly recommend.

Great Tapas bar! Filled with locals so you know it's the real thing. Order a drink and get a tapas, not like those tourist traps that charge you for the tapas. One of my favs in Madrid, in fact, retuned 3 more times. Madre mía Toro

We had a fantastic dinner here after visiting the nearby Reina Sofia art museum. Highly recommend stopping by for tapas. We were impressed with every dish we tried!

With a decently sized menu, there will be no shortage of dishes to try. We elected to go for some Spanish classics and their featured dishes, which included their Creamy Rice with Lobster, Traditional Tripe Stew, and Aged Beer Rib-eye. The creamy rice with lobster is essentially a risotto, with the rice being cooked al dente. While the texture is nice, because of the smaller portion of lobster and the lack of flavor, by the end it feels like you're just left with a bowl of undercooked rice. The traditional tripe stew was quite good, with the beef being extremely tender and chewy. The rib-eye itself was a large cut, however, a good portion of the meat is fat. Additionally, it's only seasoned with a light touch of salt, so at the end of the day also lacking a bit. If you want to come to El Pimiento Verde, it's primarily for the ambience. The food itself is fine, though nothing to call home about. If you're short on time and looking for places to experience Spanish cuisine, this is probably one restaurant that can be skipped.
