Worst experience I have ever had in a dental office. I visited 2 of their locations and both of them are filthy! I had some periodontal surgery. My major concerns are: 1. ABSOLUTELY FILTHY OFFICES - VERY DIRTY, JUNKY AND UNSANITARY. They look like storage rooms. (See attached photos.) 2. THE ASSISTANT TRIED TO NUMB UP THE WRONG SIDE OF MY MOUTH. 3. APPOINTMENTS RUN ANYWHERE FROM 45 MINUTES TO 1 HOUR LATE! I never had one appointment that was on time. 4. STAFF IS VERY SURLY AND RUDE. 5. REVIEW YOUR DENTAL RECORDS IF YOU SEND THEM TO ANOTHER OFFICE. They include personal observations not related to the dental work. In this case...I am assuming that Dr. Ross Hauer (my dentist) was the person who wrote these unprofessional notes. I think his personal non-mendical comments reflect the unprofessional demeanor of the entire operation. This was the most horrible dental experience of my life. They had the referral for an extraction and I had an evaluation with their company for an extraction already. Not only did they lose the referral and x-ray imaging at the prior appointment causing a three hour delay for care, at this appointment they only scheduled it as a consult, even though it was scheduled and confirmed as an extraction appointment. Upon arriving, I had a dentist tell me to open my mouth and he said "there's the tooth, we need to schedule your extraction". I was completely lost as my extraction was scheduled already for 8 AM but they double booked themselves for another oral surgery, leaving me to not get my tooth extracted. They then told me I had to get a bone graft for an implant after the removal. I said I didn't want a bone graft because I wasn't going to get an implant and when I asked why I need the bone graft I was told "I don't know that's the doctor's recommendation and you have to do it". So they take me to the front desk with no answers, and try to get me to pay for a consult that lasted 15 seconds, maybe even less. I didn't get to go over the recommendations with the dentist, I didn't get to ask questions, and I didn't even get to see my imaging. I asked to speak to the dentist and was told he was unavailable and that I had to pay. Chaos ensued. I have placed a grievance with this company with my dental insurance, and upon doing so was called by the front desk who gave me an attitude and told me I was not allowed back in retaliation for filing my grievance. I highly HIGHLY recommend no one else comes here. Oh and they sent me signed documentation "by me" when I didn't sign anything. I'm pretty sure that is illegal! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I am from out of town and had a problem with a tooth. They got me an appointment right away. Everyone is so nice. This is the 2nd time I've had to go to a dentist while in Florida for the winter. (After seeing my own dentist before I leave for Florida with concerns of said tooth problems ) Both times I used Sage Dental and have been very pleased. So pleased that I had them do a bridge that I was scheduled to do at home when I returned. They have done 3 crowns and a bridge for me so far. I can't say enough good things about them. The staff is so friendly and accommodating The technology and turn around time compared to my dentist at home was simply amazing. My dentist at Sage in Stuart was so picky with getting everything perfect she was very patient. I loved that! I wish I could remember everyone's names. I haven't met an unpleasant person and I've been there a lot this year, some because I needed it, and other times by choice. I decided to let them do more work that I want/need to have done. First appointment was at 12 pm was only supposed to be x-rays. Waited til 12:45 and finally asked when I was going to be called back. Told me at least another 45 minutes. This is unacceptable as I specifically made the appointment for noon knowing I would have to be at work at 2 pm. Why they didn't tell me up front that they couldn't take me at my scheduled time is beyond me. Instead I sat there 45 minutes for nothing. Will not ever go back to Sage Dental. read more

Can you imagine changing your work schedule to suit the available appointment at the dentists and upon going there and waiting 30 minutes to be seen, they righteously tell you the dentist is having lunch , so you're going to have to wait another hour - possibly 2 hours. My dental hygienist never misses, you could fall asleep in her chair. I used to dread getting cleanings, but now they are an enjoyable experience because my teeth and mouth feel cleaner and it takes nothing but sitting back in a chair and enjoying some peace and quiet for 30 minutes. read more

I went to Sage Dental due to my job sending me there. While in the back my husbands was in the waiting room and he heard not just my doctor but also the front desk staff discussing my personal medical information. That is a Hippa violation. I had an 8 o'clock appt and was in the parking lot at 740, I ck'ed in and received a call at 745 telling me my appt was cancelled as the dental hygenist called in sick and the alternate already had two call in appt's. Have been a patient of Sage Dental for at least 10 years. Had a numerous dental procedures and cleanings. Had a cleaning apptmt scheduled for Mon. July 31st was informed I also had a dental appt. after my cleaning with a dentist who is not my dentist and who I don't like. Called to tell them I did not want this dentist and would schedule and apptmt with my dentist after my cleaning. 4 days prior to my apptmt for cleaning I was called to tell me I had to have a dental appt t prior to cleaning and that my cleaning couldn't be done until Oct. Until I saw a dentist. However on my initial apptmt I was scheduled for cleaning and then dentist (which was not my dentist) after cleaning. Then today when they called they reverse their procedure saying dentist is first and then cleaning. I my opinion this a scam to get them more business they are only interested in making money. Would not recommend this dental office they DO NOT CARE about you all they care about is $$$$$$. read more

Just signed up with dental insurance and I picked this office because it had 5 stars prior reviews were spot on. Loved Dr. Azaria and his staff. Everyone was knowledgeable and super friendly. I have been to a lot of dentist offices in the past and this is by far one of the best. Ok. Nobody looks forward to dental work however the Dr and staff make a difference. From the time I went in through the time I left everyone was courteous and respectful. My comfort was very important to them. I tried my best to be a good patient but the Dr made sure I felt no pain. I would highly recommended this office. Both my husband and myself had extensive dental work done in the Stuart office I had several implants and my husband had extractions and full mouth dentures. Price for both of us was expensive but we asked for a discount and I was obliged with a small reduction in price for the implants. In my 70 years I have been to MANY dentists. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else. They were constantly (3 times in a row) canceling my appointments a day or two before they were scheduled because the dr decided to go on vacation. I have to take a day off of work so this became an inconvenience and I decided to go elsewhere while my family stayed at Sage. Today, I showed up for my kids appointments and was told they couldn't be seen. I recieved txt confirmations two hours before their appointments. I went in for a tooth ache and came out with a 7000. plan for my teeth. It honestly felt like a factory and had to call again to get my X-rays sent to another dentist because they told me they would do it that day and 3 days later I had to call again and they had not sent them. The prices are on target but the factory element is like being rushed through the conveyor belt. Plus I did not want a 7000 dollar plan, I simply wanted the current toothache to be fixed. This is my 2nd time at Sage dental, first visit went well so I recommended my husband to go also. He has had to go back on 3 different occasions to have a temporary crown repaired. For some reason they just can't seem to get it right and it's becoming really annoying! The receptionist at the front desk is very short and seemed to have an attitude whenever he called. I like the location as it is close to home however the customer service needs improvement! The front office staff should always be friendly and welcoming not rude and short as if they have better things to do! Get another job if you don't like that one! read more

Do not trust your Dental Care to Sage Dental !!! I went in for an exam and of course they found 3 cavities , gum disease etc. all costing hundreds of dollars above my Dental plan . The Physician did not know if I would need root canal on the three teeth needing filings until he started the work.... ???? Really!!!!' Additionally, I overheard him telling this to another patient. She agreed to the treatment !! Ugh, probably a treatment she did not need. Oh and when I had my cleaning done the hygienist informed me it would cost more to clean my bride . Again, really . This has not been the case before. And the hygienist was trying to sell me a very expensive antibiotic therapy for my supposedly gum disease . This is the worst dentist group I have ever been to in the 77 years that I have been going to dentists. From the minute I arrived, each person I saw, from the dental hygienist to the dentist to the office people, each one tried to sell me additional services. For example, I was told by the dentist that I needed three fillings. (this was after I had a root canal and crown.) I arrived for the fillings, sat in the dental chair, and was told by the dentist that I had to have a "deep cleaning" at a cost of $160.00 prior to having the fillings done. The dental assistant came in and gave me an itemized breakdown of the cleaning cost. Most of the expense was for fluoride applications. When I refused and said that I did not want fluoride, she said that a regular cleaning was covered by my dental insurance. So I scheduled an appointment for May 2, 2016. I called the office prior to my visit and was told that the cleaning would cost $4.60. I arrived for my cleaning and while seated in the chair, the dental hygienist said the cost would be $175.00. This time the major part of the cost was antibiotics plus $15.00 office visit charge. (they tried to tack this on each of my prior visits until I complained that my insurance covered that. Each time they crossed it off.) I told the dental hygienist that I did not want antibiotics. she refused to clean my teeth.. I feel they were less than honest not to tell me that they would not clean my teeth for what the insurance company pays them. I could give several more examples of their unethical business practices, but you get the idea. read more

After calling dentists all day to get a same day appointment, I was finally lucky enough to find Sage dental. They take walk ins and emergencies so if you don't have luck calling, try going in and talking with the very nice receptionists. I had cracked a tooth and the pain was excruciating. Every other dentist I called would not see me because they were booked and I was not a pre-existing patient. The reviews all tell the same story. This dental office is not customer driven. I attempted to give sage dental another try despite my previous chaotic experience of their billing department, but the same experience occurred. The billing department is rude and unprofessional. I have not been to a place previously where the dentists and dental assistance acknowledged there is a problem with the front staff but cannot do anything about it. After talking with the dentist she advised me to speak with the corporate office about the attitudes of the staff. The first time I experienced problems with the office I had a route canal procedure done and was overcharged 1200$, furthermore I had to follow up weekly to have the billing department correct things on their end. It took 3 months to be reimbursed. Next, despite having such a bad experience I decided to give them another try and schedule for a cleaning. I was unable to make my appointment and when I attempted to reschedule, I was told very rudely that I was going to need to bad 50$ for a cancellation and she "didn't know what to tell me". Unfortunate because of the great dentists but I would strongly advise finding another dental provider due to the front staff. read more
