So, this Korean spa is the only one of its kind in Tampa. I have searched far and wide, unless you…read moreare willing to drive a few hours or fly, this place is not bad for what you pay for. The key point to remember if you pay hamburger price, you won't get steak. With that in mind, here are the negatives and positive. Negatives (every place has it) : It's older & dated. There are some odd things like jewelry they are selling. There are random rooms scattered as private office making it a bit confusing. Next to the cold indoor pool, there are also odd items. Positive side : You can't beat the day pass of $35 for saunas, cold pool, hot tub, steam room and showers. They have sofa, tables and chairs to relax in every corner They actually serve pretty delicious Korean food for a reasonable price. Portion is generous. They give you gown, towels and other items you need to shower and freshen up to step out. All you need is your swimsuit and personal items. Place is clean and quiet. Not a lot of people. The staff are seen but they won't approach you unless you go up to them to request things. So you get your peace & tranquility. Separate shoe locker and interior locker. Yes. The place is not fancy but just remember to get "fancy" it's usually in the 3 digits. You really can't expect to pay hamburger price and get steak. Until they have similar competitor who charges the same but gives you much more, I still feel it's worth it.

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is shockingly outdated, poorly maintained, and…read moremishandles customer funds in what I can only call criminal. As a Korean individual, I'm also disheartened by how they misuse the name "Shangri-La"--it doesn't represent Korean culture at all, and the business profits while disregarding it. They mishandled a $400+ gift certificate, despite Florida law that states gift certificates never expire. Shangri-La imposed arbitrary rules, demanded ID, and refused any solutions, even though we were legally in the right. To make it worse, Carrie was rude, offered zero empathy, and made no effort to help. When we spoke to the owner, we were mocked, cut off, and dismissed, with the owner even claiming to be a lawyer. This entire ordeal caused real emotional, mental, and physical stress. It's heartbreaking that such a large sum, meant to be a meaningful experience, is now unusable due to unjust treatment. I strongly urge them to be reasonable instead of such deviant beings.

Listen, Florida Float Spa is rad. I took advantage of their first time float special and made an…read moreonline appointment. I showed up early and chatted a little with the man behind the desk about what to expect. He led me to the float room, instructed me on how to use the equipment, and left me to... well... float. I stripped down and hopped into the float pod and the lights dimmed until they were off. The inside of the float pod has a soft light that lets you see just enough to get yourself situated. When I laid down, the experience was like floating on the most gentle, warmest lake you've ever been on. My ears went under the water, but my face stayed above the water. I could only hear my heart beating, but eventually, that faded away until I was just silent. It took me about 5 minutes before I was brave enough to turn off the pod light. When I did, the darkness freaked me out a little. I turned the light back on, gave it a few more minutes, and tried again. My brain really struggled with having zero senses engaged. It caused me to hear things that weren't there, and to "touch" things that weren't there. Not bad things mind you, just the sensation of touching the side of the tank, or the sound of a bump. After about 20 minutes, all of that faded away and there was just nothing. I just was... The first 25 minutes felt like 25 minutes. The next 35 minutes felt like 5 minutes. All of a sudden, the water in the pod started to cycle and my 60 minutes was up. I went back a few weeks later and tried it again. The first 5 minutes felt like 5 minutes, and the next 55 minutes felt like 5 minutes. It was really weird. Both times I exited the pod feeling that euphoria that you typically feel after having a massage. Your body is rested because it's just been floating in salt water for an hour, and your mind is rested because you turned it off for an hour. It's a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it for anyone.

We bought their lemongrass and sage body wash as well as delicious peach honey cbd drink afterwards. Definitely an A+ experience!

DO NOT DO PT HERE…read more After a series of deaths in my life I went to my PT to cancel (after completing a 3 month contract you are forced into to do PT at all) because just eating was difficult let alone trying to work out. He convinced me to freeze instead of canceling, stating he would check in as we approach . Well what I didn't know is that to both freeze and cancel they require you to pay for two more sessions - by convincing me to freeze he guaranteed himself four more sessions with me I would be forced to complete or lose money. Hold on, it gets even better! He never followed up with me, I was then charged for a month of PT at the end of October, meaning now I have paid for 6 sessions I don't want and still do not have the capacity to follow through on. When I speak to Crunch I'm told that even though I have paid for SIX sessions I still have to pay for two more to cancel. Lovely. I speak to "management" about a refund for any of the sessions considering 1) PT did not disclose I would need to pay two more sessions to cancel after already doing that for a freeze. 2) PT never followed up and I wouldn't have agreed to that freeze without assurance of a follow up bc I was grieving and not on top of things outside of my job to survive. 3) what work / labor / expense justification can be made that I need to spend all this money to cancel when I already followed through with the contracted 3 months? We are now in December, the manager no longer returns my calls. No answer from corporate on their decision of my refund request (I'm assuming bc I have not been informed). My PT used my grief against me and had the audacity to lecture me about 'not answering his texts / follow up" when I went to speak to him about my disappointment in his professionalism. I'm so over accountable I believed him and apologized bc I didn't have my phone on me to check. Guess what - those text and follow up were non existent! There is not any missed communications between us but WAIT ! It gets better. I'm in Washington DC watching as my ex PT is booking and marking sessions complete. This insures that he gets paid from the sessions I have on my account I am trying to get refunded. Funny, I wasn't important enough to get a text / call 'hey girl your freeze is about to be done, are you ready to come back?' But he can remember to book sessions to pay himself. I highly doubt I am the only person to experience this. It breaks my heart to know elderly people, people where English is their second language; people with fixed incomes, and people who are battling insecurities with their bodies could experience what I am experiencing now. Please know the 'tour of the gym with a PT is a scam". Every opportunity they have to get you to sign a dotted line there is a way to hook you for more money. They also have a very unhealthy culture - I'll never forget the day my PT tried to bond with me by making fun of a sweet woman in her 40s dancing while she worked out. Nothing better than realizing the person you made responsible for helping your health has an unhealthy judgmental brain themselves. What happened to the space of 'No Judgements' ? The day we lost Lifestyles, a gym of integrity with a childcare area for families to this predatory, contract binding Crunch was a sad day for our community. Side note, this is not just a problem with our location. If you try to contact corporate or call any listed numbers you realize very quickly this is a business design. By creating an unreachable gap between individual gym and corporate, they guarantee a culture of no accountability. It's not unintentional, it's a business model. RUN AWAY
